Not only did the warm and hilarous @thedaddycomplex tag me for 20 questions, he tagged me FIRST. Wooo! I’m not sure I’ve ever been tagged first for anything, so I thank you, sir, for the honor.

Rules: answer the 20 questions and tag 20 followers

Name: Mama (to one person, anyway)

Nickname: twinkle toes, drool, bullet, and [name]-baby (in chronological order)

Zodiac sign: Gemini

Height: 5′3 3/4″

Orientation: September of 1997 (undergrad) and 1999 (study abroad). I skipped orientation day for grad school. Obviously.

Nationality + ethnicity: U.S. (I say with mild embarrassment); I’m mostly a WASP – Irish, English, and Scottish – but the heavy dollop of Italian muddies the water (and my black eyes) and keeps things interesting

Favorite fruit: Raspberry vs. Avocado: a Fight to the Death

Favorite season: summer

Favorite book: no one really has ONE favorite book or ONE favorite song, at least not for long. That’s a shifting thing. If it isn’t, then you aren’t doing enough reading and/or music exploration.

Favorite flower: peony

Favorite scent: honeysuckle

Favorite color: Green

Favorite animal: all of them

Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate: I enjoy them all, but hot chocolate because it is purely for joy

Average hours of sleep: I always thought it was 7 but my FitBit argues it’s more like 5 ½ to 6

Cats or dogs: dogs. Cats are cool, too, but dogs.

Number of blankets you sleep with: Why? Is this where you assess whether or not my circulatory system is functioning properly? Get out of here.

Favorite dead celebrity: I don’t feel right answering this question. These are people with families.

Dream trip: so many – Hawaii, parts of Europe I haven’t seen, Asia, etc.

Blog created: 2012?

Number of followers: some friendly faces, some lurkers, a few hopeful businesses, and probably a ton of porn bots

Info: ‘tvN’s New Talk Show Reveals Cast, Including BTS Rap Monster and Ha Suk Jin among Others’

tvN‘s new talk show “Problematic Men” have revealed their lineup of hosts.

The cable TV show will star Jun Hyun Moo, Ha Suk Jin, Lee Jang Won, Tyler Rasch, Kim Ji Suk, and Rap Monster.

The upcoming talk show will hold intelligent debates regarding social topics. The cast members have all been chosen as “men whose brains are sexy,” according to tvN. Jun Hyun Moo is a graduate of the prestigious Yonsei University, while Ha Suk Jin is an actor who studied in the UK for much of his childhood. Actor Kim Ji Suk originally graduated from an engineering school. Lee Jang Won, member of Peppertones, is famous for being a Doctorate candidate at KAIST. Tyler Rasch, most known as a panel member on “Non Summit,” is currently a grad student at Seoul National University, and speaks both Korean and English fluently. Rap Monster of idol group BTS has an IQ of 148 and has placed in the top 1% of national mock exams in high school.

“Problematic Men” will premiere on February 26.

Graduate students at private universities are asking regulators to consider these questions: Are we employees, or not? Can we join a union?

The National Labor Relations Board recently decided to review its previous position, reigniting debate within the ivory tower.

For Paul Katz, who’s three years into a history Ph.D. program at Columbia University, the 15 to 20 hours a week he spends teaching university undergraduates should mean he’s an employee. He teaches in addition to conducting his own research.

“I grade all of their papers, their exams, I run review sessions, I meet with them one-on-one, basically support them throughout the semester,” Katz says. “The university should treat me as an employee because I do work for them.”
