Your post about Adriana Lima made me so happy! I think there's a Desigual near-ish to me so I'll have to check it out! I noticed that she had hairy arms from before and yet they always photoshop it out of her pictures on the vs website and catalog :/ It's great to see women who are considered so sexy and popular keeping some of their body hair, do you know which other celebrity females have hairy arms? Sorry my english btw :/

Aaw thank you! I knoow it’s terrible that they photoshop it out, personally although I like some of the models I looooaathe the victoria’s secret brand in general and the amount of photoshop they use on their already stunning models is ridiculous! As for celebs with arm hair hmmm

Obviously Adriana;

Also Candice has a little;

The very lovely Lana del Rey who is also a victim to the extreme photoshop treatment on her arms, her arms are a little blurry in this picture tho;

Sarah Michelle Gellar from her Buffy days;

Grace Kelly, as well as a lot of old Hollywood stars, in particular Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Vivien Leigh and Janet Leigh, had veryy hairy arms and yet are still considered incredibly elegant, glamorous and feminine! I picked Grace though because she’s my favourite and I didn’t want to make this reply more pic heavy than it already was :p

Marina Diamandis from Marina and the Diamonds infamously posted her arms on instagram and when some ppl gave her shit for it replied “life aint a fuckin nair commercial” which is pretty much what I would have said too lmaooo

I’ve mentioned Sarah Hyland but she still inspires me because you don’t see actresses that often with a lot of arm hair so i think it’s great she’s still kept hers

and my personal queen Lisa Bonet who has been featured on this blog quite a bit;

I may have done a little research into it ;) I didn’t want my reply too tooo pic heavy but hopefully this helps prove that there are quite a few celebrities that keep their arm hair and there’s absolutely no shame in doing so! Honestly I’d say most women don’t wax/shave their arms but since women in the spotlight are meant to be extra “perfect”, hairless and blemish free it’s really refreshing to see when they haven’t been waxed to death! I’m sure there are a lot more that I’m missing too. Also your english is fine, seriously I get people apologizing for their english so much on here and so long as I can read your message I really don’t mind :) Have a good one anon x

University - Chapter One

(Hartbig) Multi-chapter AU: Grace and Hannah meet during their first year of university

Other parts

Grace slams the door of the station wagon and walks over to the second car behind it. Why both sets of parents/stepparents had to accompany her, she’ll never know. They’ve all already done this for her older brother, who is, of course, the only person lucky enough to avoid move in day.

Tim, the youngest, is certainly in no mood for this, too many tall, excited people are surrounding them. Grace picks up a box elegantly labeled ‘stuff’ and trudges behind a move-in volunteer.

Dinner and a Drink

A/N: Enjoy! Dedicated to thenameichoseisthedoctor :)

Grace decided a very long time ago that she was, to quote a book from a friend of hers, “not going to deny herself of the simpler pleasures of existence.” She didn’t want to live her life not being happy simply because it might look different to other people.

So when the night came around that Michelle wanted to introduce her to someone new, someone who had a concept very different than everyone else, she accepted without a second thought.

And when she came face to face with this person, she decided she wasn’t going to deny herself the simple pleasure of looking at her.

She was something else. She was funny for one. God damn, she was funny. Grace spent all night cursing herself for not thinking of the jokes she was coming up with on the spot.

She was honest and genuine. She wasn’t holding anything back; she was being herself wholeheartedly. Grace admired that in this woman, as being herself was something that took a long time for her to learn.

Though it was odd to admit, as this was something she didn’t really dwell on when she met a woman, this girl was so beautiful.

“She’s going to meet us at the restaurant,” Michelle said, and Grace nodded absentmindedly. It’d been a long day, and she was rather tired. She was excited about dinner, though.

“You okay?” Michelle asked, nudging Grace gently in the side. She nodded, smiling slightly.

“It’s been a long day,” she replied, sighing.

“Well we’ll have a few drinks and enjoy a relaxing dinner, maybe that’ll help,” Michelle replied, smiling. Grace couldn’t help but to smile along with her best friend.

The Uber ride to the restaurant was nice. The driver recognized the two of them from an improv show, and they had a nice conversation on the way there. The man was laughing the whole time, and it made Grace happy to know she’d achieved her primary goal, to make people laugh, during a ride to dinner.

The driver was very kind to pick up the cost for the ride, and he sent the two on their way.

“Okay, now where is she…?” Michelle asked, glancing around the room.

“Are you looking for someone?” asked the waitress who was seating people. She raised an inquiring eyebrow.

“Yes, actually. Party of three under Hart?” Michelle questioned, and the waitress smiled.

“So you’re the YouTubers. Glad to do you service, I’m surprised I didn’t recognize you. Hannah said she was waiting on you and Grace. Right this way,” the woman said. When she turned around to walk us to the table, Grace and Michelle exchanged a glance and a smile.

A young woman that was much smaller than Grace imagined her to be sat at a table towards the back of the place, and she had already ordered a bottle of beer.

Mamrie would love her, Grace thought to herself, smiling.

The woman turned around, and for a moment the only thing Grace could focus on were her bright blue eyes that nearly knocked the breath out of Grace. She’d never seen eyes as blue as Hannah’s, and she wasn’t sure why she noticed them. She then took in the rest of the girl. White, long sleeved shirt, hair pulled back in a tiny ponytail, faded blue jeans, and a smile that could light up the whole room.

“Hey!” she said, standing up to greet Grace and Michelle. She shook their hands, genuinely happy to see the pair.

“I call sitting on the booth side by myself,” Michelle said, darting to the seat like a child. She looked so proud of herself. Grace smiled and took a seat next to Hannah, which she didn’t really mind.

The stress and the tiredness of the long day behind her seemed to wash away in Hannah’s presence. The entire night was filled with laughter and genuine happiness. She supposed the alcohol may have been part of why they were all in such great moods, but nevertheless, Grace was feeling great.

She knew she shouldn’t have been this way, but she couldn’t take her eyes off the little brunette sitting next to her. The way she talked was so captivating. Grace noticed a very prominent lisp, but it added to Hannah’s charm. And when she was reciting a pun or a joke, Grace hung onto her every word. Listening to her story about how she got on YouTube was suddenly the most fascinating story she’d ever heard.

“I thought this was gonna be a little ‘hi I am a youtuber and you are also a youtuber, cool’ kind of dinner, but you guys are hitting it off well,” Michelle said, smiling.

Hannah looked over at Grace, then looked down in silence, biting her cheeks so she didn’t smile as wide as she wanted to. Grace glanced up at Michelle afterward, who winked in response.

“We should collab sometime,” Grace said, and Hannah perked back up, still biting the inside of her cheek a little bit.

“Yeah, dude, totally! We gotta get you on My Drunk Kitchen,” she said, smiling mischievously.

“Buy a girl a drink first, damn,” Grace said, hoping her joke wasn’t stupid.

“Already did,” Hannah said, nodding to the receipt that was being placed on the table.

Grace picked it up, and the whole of their dinner was all on one tab.

“Hannah, we can’t let you pay for us,” Michelle said, looking at the amount.

“No protesting, I’m paying. You two lovely ladies were kind enough to take time out of what I’m sure was a long busy day to come have dinner and drink with me, the least I can do is pay for it,” Hannah said, putting up her hand and smiling at Michelle.

“You are too kind, really. We’ll pay you back somehow,” Grace said, and Hannah turned back to her once more. Whenever Hannah was looking at Grace, the only thing she noticed was how her smile always reached her deep, chocolate brown eyes.

“Don’t worry about it. Shall we?” she asked, nodding towards the door.

“We shall,” Michelle replied. Hannah got up first, and Grace followed next to Michelle close behind.

“I saw the way you were looking at her tonight,” she whispered in Grace’s ear, getting close enough and quiet enough that Hannah couldn’t possibly hear.

“Oh hush,” Grace replied. “I’m not into girls.”

“But you’re sure as hell into this one,” Michelle said, giggling as Grace smacked her arm playfully.

“You two don’t whisper very well,” replied Hannah, turning over her shoulder to look at the two girls.

Grace’s eyes widened as they stepped in line to pay. She could hear Michelle giggling to herself as Hannah smirked and winked at Grace.

Like a child, Grace reached over and smacked Michelle again, making the girl laugh even harder to the point where no sound was coming out. Grace could see Hannah smirking still though she was turned around, and she was sure that her face was redder than Mamrie’s hair.

After Hannah paid, the three of them walked out into the parking lot.

“Tonight was really wonderful guys. You are genuinely great people, and thank you for taking the time to have dinner with me,” Hannah said, with complete sincerity.

“And thank you so much for paying for the whole thing even though you totally shouldn’t have. Maybe you two should catch up again sometime?” Michelle said.

Grace hung her head and covered her eyes with her hand. She could hear Hannah’s adorable giggle next to her.

“Yeah, good idea,” Hannah replied, nudging Grace.

The two of them exchanged numbers, hugged briefly, and then the three of them went on their way.

Later that night, Grace got a text.

You’re not very good at hiding when you stare at people. Have a good night. :) -Hannah
