Before Cassius Clay wins gold at the 1960 Games in Rome (and before he changes his name to Muhammad Ali), he knocks out Gary Jawish to win the Golden Gloves title at Madison Square Garden. In Rome he wins as a light-heavyweight, defeating Zbigniew Pietrzykowski.
Roy Jones Jr. - Silver, 1988, Seoul Roy Jones Jr. is hugged by South Korea’s Park Si-Hun after the American dominates him over three rounds and is somehow denied the gold medal. Many felt it was payback for the American’s dominance at the ‘84 Games in Los Angeles.
