EXO reacts to you not introducing them to your family due to troubles with your father

Don’t you worry, darling!~♥ Requests are only stressful when there’s a lot of ships to do lol. And why are you so sweet? Get over here so I can snuggle you~♥♥♥

Xiumin: “What? Why didn’t you tell me? I wouldn’t have pushed you so hard to introduce me if I’d known. I’m sorry, jagi.”

Luhan: He hadn’t believed you when you told him that your father was emotionally manipulative and abusive. You eventually agreed to bring him home for dinner one night and he saw firsthand how he made you and your mother do everything while he sat on the couch, and he did not like what he saw.

Kris: He didn’t say anything when he found out. He’d just pulled you into a hug. You were confused until you remembered that he and his dad weren’t so close either.

Suho: When he found out, he deeply regretted asking you to introduce him to your parents. He tried to think of ways to apologize for bringing up such sensitive memories.

Lay:  Being a child who was close to his parents, he couldn’t seem to wrap his head around the idea of someone not being loving toward their child, but his heart ached for you, wishing that your relationship with your father could be fixed.

Baekhyun: He actually convinced you to invite your parents over to meet him over dinner and all went well until you all sat down to eat. He watched silently, chopsticks still between his lips as he listened to your father bring up some of your insecurities for no good reason. He inwardly reminded himself to apologize to you later, both for forcing you to do this and for the black eye your dad was about to receive in a minute or two.

Chen: Dear god, he felt awful. He’d never meant to bring up things like this. He would have never even mentioned your parents if he’d known. “I’m sorry, jagi. Please forgive me.”

Chanyeol: He didn’t push you to introduce him to your parents anymore after you told him why you said no the first few times, but you decided that he did deserve to meet your parents, even if it would be uncomfortable for you. “You don’t need to do this, you know?” he’d asked, but you just waved him off. Later that night, he listened to your father periodically hurl subtle insults at both you and your mother, mouth curled in a disdainful frown and regret filling him up.

D.O: He listened quietly as you explained yourself, feeling more and more guilty for pushing for you to introduce him to your parents without even thinking of why you kept saying no.

Tao: Like Yixing, he also had trouble understanding. He didn’t always see eye to eye with his parents, but he couldn’t imagine being alienated from them like that. He isn’t sure what he can do other than to hold you and offer you comfort.

Kai: He didn’t know what to say. He had no idea that your relationship with your father was so bad. He couldn’t believe that it took him asking this many times for you to tell him why. He suddenly felt like the biggest jerk on the planet.

Sehun: Now he really wished he hadn’t brought it up. You had already met his parents and they had been asking if he had met yours yet, or if maybe they could meet them. He felt that they might’ve been getting too far ahead of themselves, but he supposed it couldn’t hurt to ask. Turns out he was wrong. All he wanted to do was take you into his arms as you avoided looking at him while you told him about your father, but he figured it was best to leave you to finish first.

Okay, I lied. It actually was really difficult to find inspiration for all the members
