Coran’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

a few people have been asking if they ended up getting/making cookies after this post and the answer is YES OF COURSE

so i thought now would be a great time to bring you all the second installment of Space Recipes™ (which i’m lovingly calling it until a better name comes to me lmao)!

WARNING: these cookies will actually ruin your life in the BEST WAY. these are legitimately the BEST chocolate chip cookies i (or the paladins) have ever had. MAKE THEM RIGHT NOW U WON’T REGRET IT.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted and then cooled for at least 5 minutes
  • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup maple syrup (i know it sounds weird but TRUST ME)
  • 3 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  1. In a large bowl, stir together melted butter and sugars
  2. Add eggs (one at a time) and stir until combined (or until Lance gets impatient and whine-y)
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and maple syrup
  4. In separate bowl - whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  5. Little by little, add flour mixture to wet ingredients & stir until combined
  6. Add chocolate chips
  7. Cover bowl with clear wrap and allow to chill for at least 30 minutes (find your chill again dudes. this is a little tedious but i promise it’s worth it)
  8. Preheat oven to 350F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper
  9. Scoop about 2-3 Tbsp of cookie dough and roll into balls, making them slightly taller than they are wide. Place them at least 2 inches apart on your cookie sheets
  10. Bake for about 12-13 minutes (cookies look a little underdone but if the edges are lightly golden brown, take them out)
  11. Allow cookies to cool completely on sheet and add a few more chocolate chips on top if you’re extra cool (and possibly losing control of ur life choices)
  12. Enjoy with fellow paladins & alteans!! <3

Hello Button I hope your having a good weekend. I just had a thought when I was watching Doctor Who today. What terms of endearment would each incarnation of The Doctor use? The First Doctor use's "my dear" and the other Classic incarnation's use "my dear". And I can see 9 using "Love", or is the Doctor some one who does not use much in the line of endearments? I hope you don't mind me asking this, I am just wondering. Thanks for your time.

Are you kidding? The Doctor is the king of endearments. Or… well, no, that’s a rubbish title, but you get the point.

You’re right, One says “my dear.” Two says it too, but he also calls you “my sweetness.” ALL the Doctors say “my dear” actually (well, Nine says it sort of sarcastically, but he also means it, in a very silly way). Three says “beautiful creature.” Four will go off on a little spiel of “my lovely, wonderful dear one” or “my infinitely wise, glorious goddess” and the like. Five says “sweetheart” and “dearest.” Six does the same thing that Four does, except with even bigger words, and an emphasis on the word my, and he practically waxes poetic if he’s trying to butter you up or is in a particularly good mood. Seven says “dearest” and “my sweet” and “my love” constantly, to the point that he hardly ever uses your name unless he’s referring to you while talking to other people. Eight calls you every romantic name in the universe, to the point that it gets very silly, but his running favorites are “love” and “my goddess” and “angel” and “sublime one.” The War Doctor says “dear” in his growly voice when other people are around but “dearest” when you’re alone. Nine mostly uses “love” but he’s been known to say “sweetheart” when he thinks you’re not feeling well or “my girl” when he’s particularly proud of something you’ve done. Ten is the same, except he uses “sweetheart” more than “love,” and he’s added “sexy” to his vocabulary as a not-really-joking joke. Eleven uses every name he can think of, much like Eight, but he’s unique in that he’ll call you “cookie” and “gorgeous” regularly. Twelve keeps “sweetheart” as a favorite along with the ever-present “my dear,” but also “babe” when he’s feeling his oats and “gorgeous, beautiful!” when he’s done something clever and wants you to be just as excited as he is.
