Gorani Bride

The Gorani or Goranci (Cyrillic: Горани or Горанци, meaning Highlanders) are a Slavic Muslim population inhabiting the Gora region - the triangle between Albania, Kosovo and Republic of Macedonia. They speak a South Slavic dialect, part of the transitional Torlakian dialects, called Našinski.
The ethnonym Gorani, meaning “highlanders”, is derived from the Slavic toponym gora, which means “hill, mountain”. Another autonym of this people is Našinci, which literally means “our people, our ones”.

WATCH: Dr. Cornel West says Ferguson Shows that the Age of Obama Is Over

Obama’s empty neutrality, moral bankruptcy and political cowardice is now undeniable to even his most loyal cheerleaders and boot-lickers!

Professor Cornel Westappeared on CNN International this afternoon to give his take on Ferguson, and said right at the outset, “Ferguson signifies the end of the age of Obama. It’s a very sad end. We began…

yugomercoledì *5*

Adesso lo rileggo. Cazzo devo rileggerlo.

A Kosovo Albanian woman looks out a window in the village of Babaj Bokes after sheep were slaughtered on May 6 2009 during the celebration of the traditional feast of Saint George’s Day, which is observed by several nations, kingdoms, countries, and cities of which Saint George is the patron saint.

Saint George. Đurđevdan/Ђурђевдан. Ederlezi.

anonymous asked:

while that CNN screencap may be fake-its probably inspired by what Hala Gorani really said on CNN yesterday which was that the shooting was not to do with Islam because, and i quote "hicks "actually defended Muslims against Christians on his facebook page" what were they referring to? one post where he said christians angry about the ground zero mosque were being hypocrites. Thats it. They are still trying to avoid saying this is a hate crime and humanise him in any case.

They are digging hella deep to justify this racist. Thanks for clarifying!!
