There’s a big Google Docs email scam going around. Here’s what to do if you received it.

  • Many people — namely individuals in media — are reporting that they’ve received emails that appear to be sent from someone they know, addressed to “hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh@mailinator.com” with a link to a Google Doc and the recipients blocked, according to Motherboard.
  • If you received a similar suspicious email, someone you know has been been phished, my friend!
  • If you receive an email like the aforementioned (or any suspicious email or text ever), do not click the link. I repeat: Do not click the link.
  • Before deleting the message, you should first report the phishing scam to Google, as EFF’s Director of Cybersecurity Eva Galperin tweeted.
  • You should also check authorized apps in your email account, as well as enable two-factor authentication, as ACLU technology fellow Leigh Honeywell tweeted. Read more (5/3/17)

so im absolutely obsessed with @skyesentinels ‘s youtube au and i got an IdeaTM (pls read the voltron youtube au frfr it’s s o good)

-For april fools, Keith and Pidge make a new channel for ‘supernatural hunting and alien spotting’
-The video they post is just them running around Keith’s apartment while lance chases them while wearing a bedsheet
-there are many gifs of lance tripping and face planting because he can’t see
-they all think it’s just an one time thing they did for a funny april fools thing but no
     -the fans won’t allow it

-the channel somehow gets to 100,000 subscribers, and keith and pidge get sent an actual silver play button from youtube for a channel they made as a joke
-then they realize that they can’t just let the channel die now
-So they continue making videos
-they start out mostly the same as the first video, just obviously fake ‘paranormal activity’ while someone chases them
-there are also many gifs of shiro dragging keith away while being the ‘ghost’
-also many, many audio clips of keith’s high pitched screaming as this is done
-Lance is a fan favorite in these videos because he always ends up screaming and falling into keith’s arms
-the klance shippers l i v e for this channel
-shiro is the worst to have in these videos unless he’s the ghost
-shiro: maybe the real ghost was the friends we made along the way
     -keith: sh u t up shiro this is s e r i o u s
-”yea i’d punch a ghost. I’d fight every single ghost in the astral plane. im not scared”
-there’s a video of keith filming lance in the middle of his morning routine and yelling “look guys! It’s a ghost, and it’s hideous
-the rest of the video is the camera shaking while keith runs for his life
-there are x-file memes everywhere
-every single video there are new clips on tumblr with the x-files theme playing
-g h o s t  a d v e n t u r e  m e m e s
-”My name is Keith Kogane. I’ve never believed in ghosts until I came face to face with one. So I set out on a quest to capture what I once saw onto video….With no big camera crews following us around, I am joined only by my fellow investigator Pidge Holt and our equipment tech Hunk Garrett. The three of us will travel to the some of most highly active paranormal locations, where we will spend an entire night, being locked down from dusk until dawn….Raw…Extreme…These are our Ghost Adventures.”
-this leads the fandom to make memes about zak bagans being keith’s boyfriend
-lance doesn’t realize that it’s all a meme and he’s??? So confused?? Like i thought keith and i bonded???? Who is zak and what does he have that i dont???????
-”zak bagans is my boyfriend and i would die for him” -keith probably
-keith does have a lowkey unironic crush on zak bagans and the only one that knows is shiro
-then they start making other videos of them doing things like looking for aliens/bigfoot/mothman ect
-everyone likes these videos too because keith almost always starts ranting that mothman is r e a l.
-pidge does the same but with nessie
-this leads to them making videos about conspiracy theories
-these are basically just 30 minute long unedited videos of them screaming about cryptids
-they also start doing those cursed games like the bath game and midnight game
-they get the whole gang together to play the midnight game but it’s basically just them sitting in a dark room with candles pretending to feel stuf
-except lance who claims he’s actually feeling things, but in reality its just keith messing with him
-their videos sometimes end with the police showing up one way or another
-once they had to pause making a video because keith screamed so loud that his neighbors thought he was dying so now there’s footage of keith awkwardly explaining to a police officer what they were doing
-the fandom has started making bets to whether or not the police will show up in the next video or not
-theres a compilation of videos from pidge’s snapchat that are just a slow zoom of keith’s face as he does something with the caption ‘caught a cryptid on video!!!!!!!!’
-keith tried to get her back but he’s much less sneaky about it so most of keith’s video’s usually end with pidge tackling him
-the fans get ‘#cryptidkeith’ treading on twitter and keith wants to die
-most of it is edits of keith’s face of bigfoot or screenshots of keith in the background of a shot with that red circle and zoom in of him (see: @keithsightings)
-theres also a lot of keith x mothman
-keith has never been more impressed and also disgusted by his fandom

Can i request a cute paramedic also named Yuuri Katsuki BECAUSE PIZZA BOY AU SLAYED ME

The ninth drink was Christophe’s idea.

(The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth drink, of course, were Victor’s ideas. But that’s not the point.)

(And as for the loss of Victor’s clothes—he’s not sure whose idea that had been. But at the time, it had seemed like a good idea. Now, since he’s face-to-face with the most beautiful man he has ever seen, it… Well, it still seems like a good idea.)

“Am I dead?” Victor asks groggily, as he looks up into the stars. And by the stars, he means the paramedic’s eyes. The world spins. But that’s less of a romantic reaction to the man above him and more of a biological reaction to the alcohol.

“Um…” the paramedic starts, and his eyes are torn away from Victor’s as he starts to look over a clipboard. “No. You’re not.”

“Hey, wanna see something pretty…besides me?”

“What is the boneyard?” … “That’s where we keep all the dead people we kill. Y’all thought they quit.”

“Here’s the thing about hip. If you say you’re ‘hip’, you’re not hip.”

“I’d like to get one of those old globes. I’d like to find one that’s so old, it’s flat.”

“You just broke up big-time bad.”

“I don’t need you. I just want to tell you I sent you an email.”

“What a sick fax.”

“Where’s your chandelier now?”

“Welcome to the Mellow Mushroom.” … “I don’t want to know what kind of mushroom you’re talking about.”

“Nothing says ‘relevant’ like THIS font. It’s like AOL.”

“That woman has the personality of a fish.”

  • Darkiplier: damn, that edgy manipulative stuff really got you. you want a guy who can 100% keep things on the dl, but conspire with at the same time. maybe feeling a new rush of uncontrollability is something you like, or prefer the control to be in another's hands. there's a power they have that you envy to have.
  • The Author/Host: the guy may be blind be he knows more about you than yourself. literature is appealing, a way one could manipulate words escapes you, or you admire it. There's a certain mystery that lingers, but it won't faze you.
  • Wilford Warfstache: the bubbly murder, his every reaction invites for response. carefree, yet troubled. you can relate, yet may not undersrand why. or maybe you just like pastel. an innocence that lies hidden or is broadcast far and wide, with something else always underneath
  • Googleplier: you want control. maybe you lack it. orders and commands appeal to you. they aren't necessarily witty, or sassy, but you know their response to a conflict will be neat and swift. no more and no less. organization is a must, regardless. there's the hint of evil that shows through, but you know in essence, it's harmless.
  • Dr. Iplier: the man has courtesy. he may not see it in every perspective, but it's there. you want someone more honest and blantant, but choosy with their words. there's a hint of compassion in what they do that you envy.
  • Bim Trimmer: he's got the enthusiasm. a bit confident, some might even say overzealous. sees their own importance, or what they can bring to the table. what do you want? pretty much all of that.
  • Yandereplier: finally, someone who might even yearn for you. a trait that shows unending care, with the cost of possibly too much attention, but that wouldn't matter to you. always gets what they want, no matter what.
  • Ed Edgar: he's got some sly wit, and you know they can make you laugh. possibly too honest, but satirical at the same time, their responses lack direction. maybe you know there's character in there, willing to share what they know. adventurous, maybe, and even enjoys a thrill.
  • Jim(s): their dry yet snarky comments add to a conversation. they've got facts, who know if they're true. you know the duo comes as a package, and you're willing to accept full force their attitudes, even if they are somewhat solemn

trollocsdaleksandorcs-ohmy  asked:

Hey! I'm about to start my 2nd year teaching 8th grade LA, and I'm trying to decide how I want my students to organize their notes/writing. Everything I read recommends interactive notebooks, but I'm afraid they will be time consuming and messy. My students will have their own chrome books, and I'm wondering if I can achieve the same effect through Google drive and having them create folders for notes/free writes. What do you use? Do you know of any ways to do an online notebook? Thank you!

Hey @trollocsdaleksandorcs-ohmy,

First of all, I owe you an apology, you sent me this ask a while ago, and I have been smack-dab in the middle of driving for Lyft, painting/setting up a new house, and prepping materials for Google-themed PD’s.

Anywho, full disclosure, anything that involves coloring or glue-sticks I don’t do. I don’t do poster presentations, I don’t do diorama or mobile assignments. Seldom do my kids use markers, or anything that’s NOT a black/blue pen. This is partially because I HATED those assignments when I was a kid, but mostly it’s because those projects only benefit those students with the time, money, and home support to complete them. If it CAN be done on a computer during class time, it is; it’s the great equalizer in my classroom. //End tangent.

I have a few Google-y tips for you.

#1: Utilizing Google Docs Header/Outline feature

Google Docs, when headers and formatting is used appropriately, will self-organize into a document outline over to the left of the document. By sending out a Google Doc (find a very, very, very generic copy here) where each entry is formatted with a heading, it will create a document where you’ll be able to click around the document.

If you teach students that every time they add a new entry, they need for format the title as “Heading 1″, they could revisit this document and by sending it out, you would have all their journals in Google Classroom to review at any time. This document could last the entire year, and you could just click to the section you wanted to view/assess.

#2: Google Keep pad for activities

A part of interactive notebooks is sending out the activities. Due to its interconnected nature, I might suggest Google Keep. Create the activities in Google Keep and share the note with your students. Those activities will remain as a “timeline” of activities that are then drag-and-drop-able into their writing journal.

OR conversely, you could send out prompts for Google Keep 5-minute free-writes that they could then drop into their final writing journal. You would need to determine what you wanted your students’ workflow to look like.

#3: A Google Slide Journal

To be fair, this is my least favorite idea, but if you edit a Google Slide deck so that the pages appear book-shaped (I’ve discussed before how to create posters.) you could then send each kid a copy of a slide deck that they would then add individual slides as “pages” when needed.

You don’t get the Google Keep integration, and “importing” slides from decks that aren’t technically yours can get tricky. However, it is an option, and I’ve heard of it working for other teachers.

There are other options, non-Google ones as well. However, all the advice I can give is what I would do if I were in your shoes. I hope you find these tips helpful, and feel free to send me another ask if there’s anything else I can do.

[TRANS] BTS Japan Official Fanclub Magazine - Suga’s Biography

A mischievous kid growing up into a boy who enjoys reading

I was born in Daegu in the South, the third biggest city of Korean, and grew up there until I came up to Seoul. When I was young, I was pretty much an ordinary kid. I loved playing around so my kindergarten teacher didn’t seem to like me. (laughs) I remember being scolded “It’s dangerous!” a lot. I also loved sports and was good at running, to the point of being picked as a relay runner from elementary school all the way up to high school. When it comes to studying, I’m slightly above average.

I used to love playing outside with friends back then, but I changed as I grew up. Even when we went outside, it wasn’t like we did anything, we just gathered at the park. I wasn’t fond of that so many times I just stayed at home on weekends. My mother told me to go outside and meet my friends sometimes. (laughs)

I had a thing for collecting, so I collected a lot of books when I was young. It was a time when I wanted to be a cultured man, wanted to pretend I know things too. Mature stuffs that didn’t suit my age or novels, poetry books, essays, newspapers,… I read everything regardless of genre. I don’t know why but up till middle school, I had the habit of reading books from the back page. I still read books sometimes now. My reading speed gets faster by reading multiple sentences at a time.

Memories of first love from elementary school… I really don’t have any. Unlike Seoul, the provinces are conservative, and my school didn’t have that kind of atmosphere in which boys and girls talk to each other. If I was with a girl, I would become really shy and wouldn’t even say a word.

The encounter with hip hop
Started composing in middle school

I started to be interested in music in 5th year of elementary school, while watching the performance of “Stony Skunk”, Korean artists, on TV. It was the prime of ballad back then so if 18 teams perform on a music program, 10 would sing ballads, 5 would be idols and the other 3 would be other genres. They were one of those 3 teams. It was so cool how they were different from other singers. Up until then, I didn’t have any interest in music, but with Stony Skunk, I started listening to hip hop and reggae music, and was influenced by Epik High as well. MP3 player was starting to come out at that time, but I bought a Panasonic CD player and listened with that.

Along with listening to music, I also started writing music at the same time. It wasn’t like someone told me to do it, I just had the thought of having to do so. I started writing rap lyrics in elementary school and started composing after I went to middle school. Back then, no one around me liked hiphop… It became extremely popular in Korea now but when I first started listening to it, hip hop was a genre once popular a long time ago. I think there probably wasn’t anyone on the streets who raps, except for me. If I rap at the karaoke room, it would just become some kind of sound to my friends. You know the moving hand gestures that are hip hop’s specialty? I was picked on for that too.

Despite that, I still kept liking hip hop and in my 2nd year of middle school, I went on the stage for the first time at a festival. I performed Dynamic Duo’s “Go Back” with a friend. I didn’t like standing in front of people, but at that time, I only felt like I have to do it. I showed the rap that I practice too, although it wasn’t anything great. (laughs)

Actually in middle school, I wanted to go to an arts high school so I composed classical music. But the tuition was too expensive so I ended up just going to a regular high school. I told my father “I have done enough music now so I’ll study hard in high school” and went to that school, but of course I didn’t. (laughs)

Full-fledged activities as a rapper after joining a crew in town

Middle school years was when I composed music to satisfy myself only, on a hobby level. It was after I changed the MIDI software that I started full-fledgedly making music. In 1st year of high school, I showed my song to a person that was like a mentor to me, and he liked it a lot. I was introduced to a hip hop crew called “D-town” and joined. That song had the feeling of new-age music but had hip hop beats similar to Nujabes. For your information, the mentor that acknowledged me studied at Berklee College of Music and is currently working as a movie music director.

I think I started rapping properly after joining the crew. I have been rapping since elementary school, but since there wasn’t anyone who raps around me, I thought I was the best. (laughs)

After that, I came to the Daegu underground scene, and from then, I also got to know that you can’t make a living out of music in the underground scene. Most of the hyungs who made music with me that time was about 10 years older than me, there were also people over 30. They worked part-time jobs and made music at the same time, but it seemed very hard. Even when performing live, it was already a huge deal to have 100 audiences, and I hated that fact. I thought “If I success, could I be the liaison of the underground scene?”. There are plenty of people who make good music in the underground scene, so I thought when I become famous, I want to create a better environment for them, I want to show their music to the world.

Just then, I knew Big Hit was holding an audition in Daegu. I came there knowing nothing but that it was a company formed by composer Bang Shihyuk, but I was told that I was accepted the next day. I heard it later that when he saw me, he immediately thought of letting me pass. Even though I wasn’t good at rapping that time. (laughs)

Coming up to Seoul after becoming a trainee
Different from first thought…!?

I came to Seoul on November 7th, 2010, when I was in 2nd year of high school. I still remember it now.

I joined to company not to rap, but to become a composer. So I thought I didn’t need to dance, and let people who are good at rapping rap, I just needed to follow the producer path. But it became a totally different thing. (laughs) At that time, rather than idols, the company was planning to create a group consisting of rappers, but that changed. The members were Rap Monster, J-hope and me. There were also Supreme Boy, i11even-hyung who is now active in the underground scene and Iron-hyung who made it to the finals of Show Me The Money 3. I think if we debut like that, despite being good at rapping, we would fail. (laughs)

Rapper & producer
The future Suga thinks of as a goal

My 4-year-older brother plays a very big role in letting me be able to walk on the music path like this. He started liking hip hop under my influence, but when I came to the audition, everyone in my family opposed it except for my brother. They didn’t view music activities nicely, even my relatives told me “What music for you, go study.” So I only showed my songs to him. He was the first person I informed that I passed the audition too. Our relationship is so good that we’re like friends. I basically don’t drink alcohol, but I drink it with him only.

My family all support me now, of course. Even the relatives that told me to study ask for my signatures. (laughs)

These days, I have thoughts about wanting to also be active as a producer. I have no greed of being in the center, I just want to make music. I don’t have interest towards the entertainment world too, everyone says they want to act, or to go on variety shows, but I don’t want to do those. (laughs) But still, the first thing is to make BTS get 1st place in Korea as well as Japan. And myself too, I want to be the best rapper, the best producer. I don’t know if it would take time, but I have to try.

⋆Singing Newt to sleep sometimes

⋆Asking newt about his adventures when you can’t sleep so he just holds you and quietly tells you a story

⋆Sometimes he comes home to you after a rough day.

⋆He sees you on the couch in the living room and just walks over and lays on you while you hold him

⋆This makes his day just a bit better

Shakarian prompt: Early morning

She wakes in darkness.

It threatens to close around her, as it is wont to do as of late. She grips her chest, feeling her steady heartbeat beneath her cold hand, and takes a long, slow breath.

As she is about to make a request for EDI to turn on the lights, another breath hitches beside her, and she pauses. Memories from the night before flicker into her thoughts, like stars brightening in the skies during night’s progression.

A talon following the bumps of her spine. A rattling breath in her ear, hitching on the inhale, groaning on the exhale. The flicker of mandibles against her cheek. Warmth spreading through her body, from fingers to toes.

Garrus.

He has spent several evenings in her quarters now, as prone to nightmares and sleeplessness as she. Together they insist the sexual release assuages the horrifying images from the base, crew members melted into liquid before their very eyes as they stand by, helpless.

But Shepard is wise to her own deception. The sex is wonderful – awkward and filled with nervous laughter, but wonderful nonetheless –  but it is not the reason her resting heart rate and blood pressure have decreased as of late. It is not the reason she now sleeps more, eats more, laughs more.

He is.

But infatuation isn’t a good look for Commander Shepard, while casual sex is, so she buries the deeper feelings. Yearning to feel his hide beneath her fingertips she reaches out in the dark, slowly, tentatively, and rests her palm on whatever it may find; which, it turns out, is his cowl, rising and falling slowly with his rhythmic breathing.

Garrus is composed of tough hide and sharp lines, the turian exterior reflecting the rigid philosophies of their species. Yet in spite of the hard exterior Garrus only reminds her of softness: he grips her tenderly, whispers gently, fills her softly, embraces her warmly. With Shepard, he is the opposite of everything he had ever been taught to be. Her fingers venture further, her sense of touch amplified by her lack of vision, tracing along his neck, mandible, waist – he shivers –

“You’re not very good at sleeping in, Shepard.” His voice is low, gravelly with sleep. She smiles at the sound.

“Never have been. I abhor the idea of wasting perfectly good time lying in bed.”

“Is that so?” Curious fingers trace up his body to rest on his mandible, which flickers under her touch. “Nothing good ever comes of lying in bed.”

“Absolutely not.” She’s grinning now. “Not when we could be productive.”

He inches closer to her, hands seeking her out blindly, fingertips coming to rest on her waist. She sighs contentedly at the feeling of his warm body pressed against hers. “How should we spend this fine morning, then?” Idly he traces circles along her waist, letting out a breath when her muscles clench beneath his touch. “Cleaning our armour? Filing reports? Training simulations?”

His fingers trace lower, and she can no longer maintain the facade. “I have much bigger plans for you, Vakarian.”

Shepard didn’t know and wasn’t in a place to dream about what the future held for them.

But for now, this? This was exactly what she needed.

-the eldest bairn, kait xxx

“Did you really think that I would swallow this… fairytale? Do you think I’m still five years old?”

It’s not a fairytale, Bree.

The door shut behind her with a sharp bang! that echoed throughout the house, reverberating off of the walls and causing the vanity to shake. Unperturbed with the state of the mirror or the trinkets that surrounded it, she stomped over to the bed and unceremoniously plopped down on it, grasping the hairbrush and angrily running it through her hair.

All of her life, she thought that she was someone else–countless times she had helped her father, spending hours upon hours looking through their genealogy chart in an attempt to trace their ancestry throughout Europe. He had played along, telling her about his grandparents and great-grandparents, all the way to the eldest ancestor that they knew of: a Captain of Dragoons, stationed in Scotland with a pristine record and high regards from the Crown for his service. Frank had always talked so highly of him, but whenever his name was mentioned, her mother would leave the room.

She realized that her mother never truly told her much about her own heritage, just about Uncle Lamb and her parents, but besides that…

I suppose she wanted to keep that under wraps, too, she thought, brushing the other side of her head.

A moment passed before she fully paused, looking down at the curling waves of her auburn hair. Her father didn’t have red hair–granted, neither did her mother. She remembered asking him once where her red hair came from, and he had just replied, “One of your relatives.”

One of my relatives. My father…?

She set the brush down on the bed, running her fingers through the soft strands. As much as she didn’t know right now, one thing was certain: Frank Randall was not her biological father, this Jamie Fraser–whoever he might be–is. However, that was the only straw she could grasp from the bunch that her mother gave her; she had lost Brianna as soon as she said Culloden.

How could one believe such a tale? Her father apparently did–the other one.

Jamie Fraser.

So many emotions were coursing through her veins, but the one of highest supply was frustration and anger. She felt betrayed by her mother, of whom she felt had lied to her all of her life, making her believe that Frank Randall was her biological father. And after a moment, anger seemed to triumph over all other emotions, and she flung herself off of the bed, pulling a bag off of the floor and stuffing as much into it as humanly possible. She needed to get out of there. Now.

After realizing that not everything was going to fit if she kept shoving everything into the small opening of the rucksack, she instead started emptying the contents onto the floor. She shook the bag harshly, taking her anger out on the innocent fabric pack, before she heard something plop unceremoniously onto the floor. At first, she didn’t recognize it, but after a moment’s pause, her racing pulse leveled.

It was a small, leather-bound notebook, no more than 5 inches in width, 6 in height. The book was about 100 pages thick, covered in both her mother’s and her own scrawled hand across the pages, alternating between different colors of ink.

A fairy-tale told to her by her mother in her youth.

A five-year-old Brianna Randall sits upright in bed, excitedly gripping the edges of her quilt as she waits for her mother to return home. At this point, they had their schedule down to a science: Claire would walk in the door, go straight to the eagerly-awaiting Brianna, and she would recount to her daughter the adventures told the night before.

Tonight, however, was different. Daddy had come home from the University with a beautiful leather-bound, handheld notebook. “Fill it with whatever your heart desires, little beauty,” he had said, and she took it to heart. She would fill it up, cover to cover, with her favorite story of all time.

Her heart began to race in excitement as she heard her mother’s voice coming from downstairs, the beats getting more frantic as she heard the footsteps getting closer and closer. When the door finally opened and the bright blue scrubs came into view, she jumped up and down in her bed.

“Mama, guess what I got from Daddy today!” She squealed, thrusting the notebook at her mother in excitement.

“Oh, Bree, how lovely!” She examined the book delicately before handing it back to her daughter. “What will you write in it?”

Bree giggled, “Silly Mama, our story!”

Instead of replying right away, she swallowed hard, turning herself away from her daughter and towards the window. Confused, Brianna ignored this strange behavior and went to her desk, pulling out a pen and holding it out to her mother. “Write, Mama?”

She cleared her throat once before turning back around, a smile forming on her lips. “Of course, love. Now, where did we leave off?”

“No, we have to start over!”

Smiling, Claire took the pen from her daughter’s tiny hand and balanced the book on her knee, starting to write. While she wrote, she had Bree read the words out loud to her.

Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a King and his fair Queen. The pair loved each other very much, and to prove that their love was eternal, the King took his wife away from the business of castle life to a remote village in the mountains.

While there, they visited their subjects and attended to their duties, as Kings and Queens do, but one day, the Queen was separated from her King and fell through a portal to another world. Frightened and alone, the Queen ran for miles and miles to find her King, but couldn’t find her way back. Getting lost in the ever-thickening wood as she ran, she encountered the most fearsome dragon in all of the Worlds. Fortunately, however, she was rescued by a knight in shining silver armor and taken away to safety.

On the way to the castle, the Queen’s escort introduced himself as Sir James the Red, Knight of Lallybroch. The Queen introduced herself only as Christine, in fear that someone would recognize her.

For many months the Queen took refuge in the new castle, Leoch, becoming a guest of it’s King and making many friends among the subjects. One day, after a great Gathering was held, the Grand Duke requested she be present on a hunt, to which she agreed. While on the hunt, she became very close to Sir James, who promised to protect her from anything and everything she could encounter on the journey.

And as Sir James predicted, Christine came face-to-face with the monstrous dragon once more. With his fiery breath, he burned her repeatedly. But ever so true to his word, her Knight came to save her and, in order to protect her, offered his hand to her, which she accepted. The two of them became extremely close while continuing the hunt. She missed her King dearly, but was starting to accept her life with her red Knight in shining armor.

Eventually, the Knight found out about her travels through time, and offered to take her back home. They traveled on horseback for days while the Queen figured out what her heart truly wanted. Her duty was to her King, but how could she leave her Knight, a man that she had grown to love more than life itself?

It all came down to a single choice. Sir James took her to the portal, where she had to make her final decision. Who did she want to be: Christine the Queen, or Christine, the Knight’s wife?

In the end, she chose Sir James. The pair went back to his home, to begin their happily ever after. That is, until the creature returned, this time to take him for retribution, and it was up to Lady Christine to be her Knight’s savior.

With the help of Sir James’ fellow knights, and a few cows, Lady Christine was able to save her knight in shining–

“Mama,” Bree, now an inquisitive eight-year-old, interrupted, looking at her mother in confusion. “What did the cows do?”

Claire laughed, caught off-guard by her question. “Well, Sir Marcus decided that it would be the easiest way to get Sir James out of the dragon’s keep, without drawing too much attention.”

Bree’s eyebrows creased together and her lips pursed outward. “But… wouldn’t a large group of cows draw attention to them, anyway?”

“Do you want me to continue or not?”

She nodded eagerly, leaning away from the headboard.

Lady Christine was able to save her knight in shining armor, and together they traveled away to a distant land full of delectable foods, beautiful dresses, large parties, and lots of intrigue. But Sir James’ experiences with the monster left him scarred, emotionally and physically. She tried her best to help him, but nothing she did soothed his suffering. Eventually, their marriage began to crumble, and she feared she would lose her husband.

One night, she talked to him about it. He told her all of his heart, as one should in a marriage, and the patches seemed to be healed. However, when the evil creature returned for his just desserts, Sir James vowed that he would be the one to slay it. Afraid for her husband’s life, as well as the dragon’s, she begged him to leave it be. His grudge, however, would haunt him forever as he attempted to slay the beast, eventually doing so with all three of them seriously injured. Lady Claire saved Sir James once more, and, after losing their faith, the pair moved back to their country to be with their family. Fate, however, would not be on their side.

A war was rapidly approaching, and as much as they tried to stop it from coming, Sir James and Lady Christine were faced with no other choice. Pregnant with his child, he sent them back to her own time, where they could be safe in the protection of the King.

“She never goes back to him?” Thirteen-year-old Bree inquires of her mother with her elbows on her knees and her hands resting beneath her chin.

Claire pauses, swallowing an invisible lump in her throat. “No, she doesn’t.”

“Why not? If she truly loves him, wouldn’t she want to be with him forever?”

“Of course she would.” She smiled softly, wrapping her arms around Bree’s shoulders. Leaning her head on top of her daughter’s, she asked, “Do you remember the battle, the one that they were all preparing for at the end of the story?”

Bree nodded, urging her to continue.

“Well, before they parted, Sir James promised m–Christine–” She cleared her throat. “He told Lady Christine that he would die on the battlefield, defending his country. And she took his word for it.”

“So, she didn’t even try to find him? Not even for the chance that they could be together again?”

Tears formed in Claire’s eyes, but Bree couldn’t see them. Instead of replying, she finished the story.

Lady Christine returned to her time and resumed her position as Queen. She was reunited with her King, and he promised that they would raise Sir James’ child together, as their own.

A few months later, a princess was born, and they named her Ellen, after Sir James’ mother. And together, the three of them lived a happy life, the child unaware of her true parentage.

Every once in awhile, however, the Queen would see her daughter’s red hair catch the light, and she would see her husband. Her red Knight.

Her one and only love.

The End
