I remember when this album came out, just before the summer after GCSES, I spent hours laying sprawled across my bed as if I’d fallen there from a great height, kicking my legs in time to the music. By the end of that summer I knew every word and I started doing incredibly secretive impressions of Orlando Weeks, especially to this song, and then dancing around my drum kit as if I were sacrificing it to the great gig in the sky.
Every now and then I still sing along to this song and go apoplectic when it gets to, “I’ve lost all the coals and we’re running quite low”.
Bippy fresh has been following Dipper all day, comparing Dippers “weak” body to Dippy’s (since Bill’s possessed them both now). He’s been going on about how Dippy’s body is cooler and stronger, but little does he know Dipper isn’t the same kid from Sock Opera.
Back in 2012 when I was first getting into hs fandom, those big lyricstucks were starting to get super popular and I tried to make one too, for erifef. I never finished it, but I still really like some of the panels, so I thought i should at least upload for completion.
so i was talking to virtuousfantine and thinking about how music is so americanised (or should i say americanized) and all you guys (even most australian people) know of australian music is like iggy azalea which is just depressing. so i decided to make a post celebrating the gems of aussie music history because like how can you live without knowing:
and just australian culture is pretty cool actually and gets very little international attention other than negatively and people like iggy azalea and acdc who just do stuff that’s basically american. like there’s more to australia than the harbour bridge and racism and homophobia, we have a v rich culture and it deserves more respect. please add your fave australian music to this list!
I started trying to work out a design for Wilson when I had a cold after the US election – nothing cheers like good old Bill, but for whatever reason I had a terrible drawing block and didn’t get anything halfway decent until the week before Christmas, which you see here.
