I keep thinking of how much I love talking to you,...
how good you look when you smile. How much I love your laugh. I daydream about you all the time replaying pieces of our conversation, laughing at funny things you said or did. I’ve memorized your face and the way you look at me. I want you to know that I cherish every moment that I spend with you.
If I could offer you one piece of advice to hold in your heart, it would be to appreciate every second you have with the things that you love; be they places, objects or people…. Because there is a last time for everything and you don’t always get to know that it’s the last time when you’re in it.
There will be a last time you see a sunrise, a last time you taste ice-cream and a last time you smell a rose.
There will be a last time you enter every room, a last time you hold every pet, and a last time you hear a loved one’s voice.
Sometimes we know we’re in those moments and we can saver ever second of them - but so often we don’t know until that moment is gone and it’s too late to go back and relive it.
So hold onto those moments while you have them… live inside them…. appreciate them to their fullest every time so you’ll never regret taking them for granted one day when they’re gone.
Granny Weatherwax was often angry. She considered it one of her strong points. Genuine anger was one of the world’s greatest creative forces. But you had to learn how to control it. That didn’t mean you let it trickle away. It meant you dammed it, carefully, let it develop a working head, let it drown whole valleys of the mind and then, just when the whole structure was about to collapse, opened a tiny pipeline at the base and let the iron-hard stream of wrath power the turbines of revenge.
Hakuouki Sekkaroku Episode 6: Dance of the Snowflakes
All infamous fan smacks aside, I actually feel that this conversation is a good deal more entertaining overall. At the very least, it provides one more canon interaction between Kazama and Sen for me to use as reference, and I’m always down for more of those.

He said that my past would always go with me, but that the more I freed myself from the facts and concentrated on emotions, the more I would come to realize that in the present there is always a space as vast as the steppes waiting to be filled up with more love and with more of life’s joy.
