Happy Monday!! Today was a decent start to the week, I made myself a smoothie for breakfast and started a new book, followed by a 5 km run in my neighborhood. The run was decent, I began with piriformis pain, but it semi-went away by the end of the run. Felt a bit gassy from the smoothie but otherwise I was okay. And I had negative splits, albeit at a slow pace, but it still counts! Afterwards I went to South Block and got my favorite PB&J acai smoothie because I am obsessed, and they even gave me some extra smoothie in a little cup! Needless to say, 2 smoothies in one day made for one happy lil tumtum🤰
In the evening I went to the 6 pm hot yoga class. Started out strong and feeling good, but by the time we got to standing separate head to knee pose, I was beginning to feel a bit nauseous and dizzy, so I had to back off and sit down. I missed tree pose too. For the the floor poses I was okay, still couldn’t put in 100% during the spine-strengthening series, but I didn’t stop. I picked a spot in the front row, and for the past few classes I’ve been choosing different spots in different rows, not sure if that is contributing to how lousy I’ve been feeling. Also, I’ve gone in the evening yesterday and today, and tomorrow’s class in the evening as well. If I don’t feel good during tomorrow’s class either, I’m going back to morning classes, because I think I feel much better when I do AM exercise.
Went out on a dinner date with my mom, and we had the best chocolate cake for dessert, so it warranted a photo.
