gone the full evil

The Zeros (Prince Keith)

Yay for productivity! For the anonny who requested a Keith soulmate fic :)

It’s a soulmate timer fic, I hope you all enjoy! Meanwhile Joshua will be getting a stern talking to. How dare he, the butthead.

You tried yanking the sleeve down to conceal the mocking numbers. The fancy sleeves were a good couple inches too short. Damn it. The lacy trim almost reached, but almost wasn’t good enough. The zeros had been eerily still for almost seventeen years now. Every single one of  those days they mocked her. You couldn’t remember time before they stopped. Back when You were  a naive and blissful ignorant child, with a head full of dreams and romantic fairy tales.

~~~
The day would have been a glorious one spent for any child, for it had been a festival day. Papa started the day off by making a delicious breakfast. Bacon, eggs, biscuits, sausages, and the pancakes. Oh yes, the pancake incident. There were plates stacked high with pancakes everywhere. Mama finally had to yell at him to stop, it was way too much food for just the small family of three. Papa just stood at the stove confused, and the batter bowl in hand.
“But there’s more batter…” Mama collapsed her head in her hands and groaned aloud. At last you all left for the festival after freezing the remaining pancakes. They seemed to last for weeks afterwards those damn pancakes. Breakfast every morning was pancakes until at last they were all gone. Papa seemed to get an especially full stack with a side of  evil glare from Mama. Who always managed to get away with having none. Complaining of the carbs, that she was on a diet, and that fruit was a fine breakfast.
At last it was time for the festival! You bounced eagerly on your feet excited for the day ahead. The excitement soon wore off upon realizing you had to wait. The king must make his traditional boring speech first and blah blah. The king blabbered on while you lost interest almost immediately. Perched high atop of Papa’s shoulders, you wiggled and twisted looking for entertainment. Finding nothing you resorted to tugging and playing with Papa’s hair. At last the surrounding people started cheering. Festival time?!
“Little monkey.” Papa patted your knee to claim attention. You answered by tugging a patch of his hair.
“The royal family is formally introducing the young prince. Hence today’s celebrations.” The prince?! You perked up excited something was happening at last. Of course everyone knew about Prince Keith, but only important people had met him so far. Papa and Mama taught you about the royal family. They said Prince Keith was still little, only a couple years older than yourself. So he was sheltered away during his young years from the prying eyes of the kingdom and the media.
The pretty queen stepped out on stage. Her gown was so beautiful! You stared in awe, you wanted to wear something as pretty as that dress one day! A tiny figure broke your admiration of the queen. Standing behind and almost swallowed by the vastness of her dress was a boy clutching part of the skirt. The poor thing! He looked so scared, if he was in your preschool class you would surely share your snack with him. He looked to be too old for preschool though, maybe kindergarten. Or even *gasp* in grade school!
Suddenly everyone started cheering, the young prince’s expression changed in an instant. He went from looking frightful to as if something smelled terrible. Maybe someone farted on stage. You giggled at the thought of their dignified king farting. The king was still blabbering on and Prince Keith was now standing up front and looking out to the crowd. You were lost in giggles and the excitement of the crowd. You couldn’t hear the beeping coming from your wrist.  Papa cocked his head to the side and was about to question his wife if she too heard the noise. Another round of cheers distracted him and all was forgotten.
Mama hadn’t discovered the zeros until later right before dinner. Eating at the festival would be a special treat. Though Mama still brought her to a bathroom and ensured clean hands first. Mama assisted you in rolling up your sleeves when she gasped and held your wrist tight. She pulled your arm closer looking at something, Mama’s eyes were so big. Hand washing forgotten she picked you up and ran outside. She called out Papa’s name frantic, turning around in circles so fast you were getting dizzy. At last Papa found you and the spinning stopped. Mama was upset about something, she pulled on your arm again. Now Papa was looking too. You wish they would tell you! You were old enough! More important than that you wished for dinner greater. After a full day at the festival you were hungry! You were about to ask when Mama and Papa finally focused on you.
“Noms?” You asked trying not to whine. Papa only replied ‘soon’ and started asking you about a timer? You didn’t understand. Mama tried to simplify it for you. Oh the numbers! They meant the ones on your arm. Mama taught you what they meant awhile ago. When they reached zero you would meet your soulmate! But the numbers were so high, 6128 days Mama said. You couldn’t count that high, it must be a long time away.
You looked to your arm in question, but the high numbers that counted down everyday were gone. In their place stood zeros. Zeros!
“Mama, zeros! Where soulmate?” Mama didn’t respond, her eyes were wet. Papa had lots of questions though. You tried answering them but you were so hungry. You didn’t know why he was asking you these things, Papa should know that you didn’t meet anyone! You were with him all day long!
THREE days until THE COPPER GAUNTLET. Holly and I in Port Douglas, Australia, about to depart for Brisbane. How beautiful is it here? So beautiful.
A snippet from Copper Gauntlet:
“Let’s kill him,” Call said.
Havoc growled.
“Master Rufus?” Aaron looked alarmed.
“No, of course not Master Rufus! I meant Jasper,” Call said. “Bury his body under a pile of rock. Who’d know?”
“Call, stop being ridiculous,” said Tamara.
“Havoc could kill him,” Call suggested. Havoc turned at the sound of his name, looking interested by the prospect. Although the Chaos-ridden wolf had grown over the summer, Call wasn’t sure he could actually kill anyone, but he could sure take Jasper outside and chase him around the Magisterium a few times.
“And I’m supposed to be the psychopath?” Jasper grumbled.
Call wasn’t sure what it meant that he’d gone full Evil Overlord on Jasper but still couldn’t manage to impress him.
Aaron raised his hand. For a moment Call thought that Aaron was going to settle them down, say that Call should quit threatening Jasper and they should all just go back to their rooms. Instead, black fire sparked between Aaron’s fingers, a web of darkness. “Don’t make me hurt you,” he said, looking right at Jasper, chaos burning in the palm of his hand. “Because I really could.”
The Lyman Timeline
Lyman’s first appearance. Here, he’s shown joking around with his ostensible friend. He seems good-natured, but if you look at Jon’s expressions, it hides a deeper motive. I think Jon was first surprised, but then happy to know he had a new potential victim - Lyman. That look on his face in the last panel is not a good look.
This is a good moment between Jon and Lyman. Lyman is clearly worrying about Garfield, not wanting to hurt him - and I’m positive, if Garfield reacts THAT badly to being rubbed the wrong way, Jon has to have known. I propose that he deliberately didn’t tell Lyman just so he could A.) see Garfield in pain, and B.) watch Lyman get attacked.
This was the very next comic after the previous strip. From my analysis, it seems Jon is trying to push Lyman - he obviously put Lyman in a sour mood after allowing Garfield to beat him up, and though Lyman seems fine with it in the previous comic, it goes without saying that being ripped into by a cat is bound to leave someone in a bad mood. I also think this is early evidence of Jon’s mere presence causing Lyman to go bad.
This is blatant manipulation on Jon’s part. He literally wants Lyman to start beating Odie! For those who will call out Garfield for offering a bat, keep in mind that Garfield is a cat, not a human - he’s naturally opposed to dogs, and not aware of the connotations of an owner beating a dog. Jon seems surprised, though, hinting that he didn’t expect Garfield to be so violent - maybe his presence has been getting to Garfield too?
Here, we see an obvious display of Lyman’s legitimate love of his dog compared to Jon’s ire towards Garfield. Lyman seems to persist through Jon’s evils somewhat, having not yet gone full-on abuser… this suggests his earlier lapse in judgement and morality isn’t normal.
A few comics later, we get this. I think this is MORE evidence of Jon’s manipulations getting to Lyman - though Jon appears to be worried, he’s evidently not worried enough to stop Lyman from endangering his dog. I bargain that he’s not worried at all. On another note, Jon smokes in a house with two pets!
More evidence of Jon getting to Lyman. After Jon attacks Lyman, Lyman’s first instinct is to attack his  dog. He’s slowly becoming more and more liable to hurt his pet - if this isn’t evidence of Jon’s demonic presence hardening Lyman’s heart, I don’t know what is.
Yet, he still cares about Odie. Jon hasn’t totally brainwashed him.
I’ve brought this one up before. Lyman has become willing to bait Garfield into setting out mouse traps - he couldn’t possibly have NOT known Garfield loves lasagna, as Jon told him that multiple times before. Lyman deliberately wants Garfield to get hurt.
That was Lyman’s last major appearance. It seems like Jon finally got to him - until, of course, he either imprisoned or killed Lyman to take Odie in as another animal to abuse.
Okay, that’s it. Juliette is officially on my shit list and will stay on their till the bitter end. She may not have been the one to kill Nick’s mom, but she played a huge part in it. Not to mention she tried to kill Monroe and that is a huge no no!! As Rosalee put it perfectly….THAT BITCH!!! I will never ever forgive her for that, she has gone full on evil.
Oh and I officially ship Nick and Adalind now…I want to watch that slow burn where they slowly begin to trust each other, work together and tumble into friendship and maybe more.
Once Upon a Time bosses tease Dark Swan, Rumple's fate and more
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Will there be a time jump when the show returns?
ADAM HOROWITZ: You will see the direct aftermath of where the show left off.
What can you tell us about Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the Dark One? What are her powers like and has she gone full on evil?
EDWARD KITSIS: The right answer is you’re going to see both. We intend to show you how she would become dark and what would happen if she was.
HOROWITZ: It’s a slow burn as opposed to all of a sudden.
Is there a part of her that’s fighting her dark urges, or has she succumbed to it?
KITSIS: Every part of her is fighting her dark urges. Really, the question we want to ask in the premiere is: We saw Rumple and his weakness, and we saw the Dark One before him literally trick Rumple (Robert Carlyle) into killing him so he no longer had to have this curse on him, so what happens when that mixes with the lightest magic of all, and will Emma have the strength to fight it?
What differences will she have from the Dark One that was Rumple? Does she make deals like Rumple?
HOROWITZ: How a Dark One manifests is specific to each person who takes on the mantle. Emma will have her own unique spin on what it means to be a Dark One.
KITSIS: We’re going to get really into the Dark One mythology. One thing that we think about is once you become the Dark One, it allows you to have the freedom to have no inhibitions.
HOROWITZ: You become the ultimate version of yourself, but on the dark side.
What are you guys calling her?
KITSIS: We had a lot of debate about it. Since she is the Dark One and she is Emma Swan, we felt like, how could we not go with Dark Swan, but deep down in my heart, I still like Black Swan best. Dark Swan is the one for us.
What are some of the themes you’re going to be exploring this season?
KITSIS: We are going to be exploring hubris. We are going to be exploring love and what happens when you use it as a weapon and what are the things that it makes you do. In the past, we’ve said love is the most powerful magic of all. It makes you do many things you normally wouldn’t think you would. That’s a lot of what we’re going to be exploring.
The first thing that pops into my head: Because of Emma’s love for her family, she might want to get vengeance on certain people who have done bad things to her family in the past.
HOROWITZ: This is all part and parcel of the darkness that she’s going to be wrestling with.
KITSIS: Vengeance is a very low hanging fruit you want to grab.
How is Henry (Jared Gilmore) dealing with Emma being the Dark One?
KITSIS: Henry starts out the way he always has. Henry’s has the heart of the truest believer. He believes in his mom, believes she will fight it and stop it, and he will save her like always.
Who possesses Emma’s dagger at the moment?
HOROWITZ: That’s an excellent question. The possession of the dagger, who has it, where it remains and how that works is something we get into pretty quickly.
KITSIS: In the premiere we do.
What’s Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming’s (Josh Dallas) main drive at the beginning of the season, convincing her to be good or solely focusing on tracking Merlin down?
KITSIS: Really it’s a combination of both in a sense that the quest for Merlin is the quest to free Emma. For us, Emma, as we’ve seen since she united everyone, everyone was on their own side. We feel like when they got to Neverland, Emma finally united them and became the leader. Now, what happens when you have to save the leader and they’re not leading anymore?
When Rumple became the Dark One, he didn’t suddenly disappear, so are we going to get an explanation of where Emma has gone off to?
HOROWITZ: Absolutely.
KITSIS: We’re going to show you that. I’d say the main difference is that Rumple killed the previous Dark One, so he immediately became one. What we saw was the Apprentice take the darkness out of Rumple and then it was uncontrollable, so it’s a whole different way of receiving the Dark One curse.
How is Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) dealing after Emma finally said she loves him and then became the Dark One and disappeared?
KITSIS: We’re picking up with him in a state of, “I’ve come too far to not be happy now.” He’s going to go and save Emma come hell or high water.
Is Emma your villain for the first half of the season or will someone else have that mantle?
HOROWITZ: I would say it’s not as simple as that, but she certainly is villainous. There’s certainly her darkness to contend with.
KITSIS: There will be new characters that come in and out. One of the things we really love is that Emma becoming the Dark One has really focused it back on that family dynamic again.
HOROWITZ: The Charming family is in crisis. That’s the big driving element of the beginning of the season.
KITSIS: And the Charming Family now extends to a lot more people, I would say.
[…]
Because Emma made it her goal to give Regina (Lana Parrilla) her happy ending, will Regina make it her mission to repay the favor?
KITSIS: I hope so, or else she’s really selfish.
Once Upon a Time bosses tease Dark Swan, Rumple's fate and more
Now that Emma has become the new Dark One, there are so many burning questions Once Upon a Time fans have about the new season! Has she gone full-on evil? Can Hook save her? What really happened to Rumple after Emma became the Dark Swan? Ahead of Once Upon a Time’s Comic-Con panel on Saturday, EW caught up with executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis to get some juicy scoop on what’s in store:
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Will there be a time jump when the show returns?
ADAM HOROWITZ: You will see the direct aftermath of where the show left off.
What can you tell us about Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the Dark One? What are her powers like and has she gone full on evil?
KITSIS: And the Charming Family now extends to a lot more people, I would say.
What can you tell us about these new characters, Merlin, Arthur and Guinevere?
HOROWITZ: We’re doing our Once Upon a Time spin on these characters. There will hopefully be things familiar to the iconography to all the characters from Camelot that you’ve known about in a way that’s hopefully unique and fun. How they intersect with our characters and their dilemma and their quest is where a lot of the fun hopefully comes.
Now that Emma has taken his place, how does not having the darkness inside of Rumple change him?
KITSIS: Well, the last we left him, he was doing his Han Solo Carbonite impression, so the real question is: Will he ever wake up? That’s what we’re going to explore.
If he does wake up and if he is a good person again, is there a possibility for Belle and Rumple?
KITSIS: This is a show about hope, so to give up hope would be horrible, but that doesn’t mean it will be an easy path or a successful path.
You do have Rumple’s mother coming in. Is there anything you can tell us about her or what side she brings out in Rumple?
KITSIS: I would say people will see very clearly in the premiere what we intend to do with that character.
The Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) and Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) are sticking around! Is there anything you can tease about the love triangle and what Regina is facing as Zelena and Robin’s baby is due to arrive?
HOROWITZ: I wouldn’t call it a love triangle. It’s a—
KITSIS: —love obstacle. It’s the annoying guest that won’t leave your house. They say they just need a place until they find an apartment, but they never find an apartment.
HOROWITZ: Obviously, Zelena’s presence presents many issues.
KITSIS: I would say it’s the guest who won’t leave, but instead of just eating your ramen, they’re trying to kill you.
So Zelena is not aiming for redemption then?
KITSIS: Well, she’s certainly not aiming for it when we see her.
HOROWITZ: No, that’s for sure.
KITSIS: There’s no fun in that.
HOROWITZ: The Wicked Witch is still wicked. I would say she’s pretty unrepentant about what she’s done at the start, which is not to say there’s not a tortured soul inside of he. We obviously have her to have some depth, but she has done some pretty horrific things. It’s created some issues that Robin and Regina have to deal with. Yeah, it’s not a love triangle.
Because Emma made it her goal to give Regina (Lana Parrilla) her happy ending, will Regina make it her mission to repay the favor?
KITSIS: I hope so, or else she’s really selfish.
Much like Hook and Emma’s relationship took a backseat as Emma tried to help Regina find her happy ending, is that going to be the case with Regina and Robin Hood’s relationship this season?
KITSIS: The one thing I know about Merlin is he’s tied into King Arthur, and the one thing I know about Arthur is he’s from Camelot, and if there’s one thing I know about Camelot is it’s a place for romance. As far as we’re concerned, all the couples will still be very active.
Since you scaled back on Michael Socha’s role as a series regular, does that mean we won’t be getting the story of him and Anastasia this year?
HOROWITZ: We hope to get to it. We hope to see Michael more. He’s not a regular anymore, but he’s still a part of the Once Upon a Time family and universe. We’d love to get to it.
KITSIS: We remain big fans. It is a large cast with a lot of people that are front and center.
How much will we be seeing of Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Lily (Agnes Bruckner) since we know she’ll be searching for her father, and Maleficent could also make an ally in the situation with Emma?
KITSIS: We intend to tell that story at some point this season. We set it up for a reason. That is one we are definitely intending to do. It’s not going to be in the first five, but that’s not to say that it might not be in the first five.
Is Lily’s father somebody we might recognize?
HOROWITZ: We don’t want to comment on his identity right now. It is a thread we left open for a reason. We look forward to exploring it.
ARROW 3x22
I. AM. SCREAMING.
This episode was phenomenal. Absolutely perfect. Can’t find a single thing to complain about. Everything is working out beautifully and I cannot wait for next week’s finale.
Oliver letting the virus be unleashed on his friends? Please. As if Oliver didn’t have a contingency plan in place for such an occurrence. Either they’ve all been secretly inoculated without knowing it, or the vial wasn’t the virus but actually the “fake your death” drug in aerosol form. Or both. Moving on…
Nyssa, good god, how I love you. Fighting it until the end. Now they can go be alone together as man and wife and he can fill her in on his game plan. Just as I had hoped.
And that promo? Oliver pulling his sword on Ra’s while on the plane? Everything is coming up so nicely for how I’ve speculated. This finale is going to be amazing.
As for Olicity, I don’t think we need to worry too much. You hear her in the promo saying Oliver needs help. Doesn’t sound like a woman convinced her man has gone full-evil and actually tried to kill her. It’s all going to be okay.
And I, for one, am so damn excited.
It's theory time
O.K, so now that the comic con is behind us (although we are still under its enormous effect), my mind has been starting to analyze some of the things we have heard from A&E in the last two weeks or so.
So I have this theory of how they are gonna approach the Dark!Emma issue and Camelot. I’ve been thinking about two things that they said:
One was in the main panel in comic con when they were asked about Camelot time zone. They said that Camelot is a place that can be in the past, present or also the future.
The second thing that caught my attention is this answer they gave when asked about Dark!Emma:
What can you tell us about Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the Dark One? What are her powers like and has she gone full on evil?
The right answer is you’re going to see both. We intend to show you how she would become dark and what would happen if she was.
Also, in many interviews they said that it’s a slow burn and that we would see her trying to resist.
O.K, so after reading/hearing these answers, along with seeing the preview of Dark!Emma, I came with this theory on how it’s gonna be played.
Now, I don’t have all the details fixed in my head, just the general concept, but I hope it makes sense lol.
So I thought that maybe Camelot is a place where past, present and future interacts together. What I mean by that is that these three times are not separated by time dimension, but separated by places. So for example, if one has a map of Camelot, if he goes to a certain direction he would go to the past, other direction to the present, and another direction to the future.
And if that’s the case we can see Dark!Emma in the future zone, where she is completely dark after many years of letting her heart turn black little by little. Assuming this version of Emma is a person that waited for years for the people she loves to come and get her, but they never did because for them the time stayed in the present.
At this future zone we can also meet Merida that can that way easily be the daughter of Robin and Zelena. She will be interacting with Dark!Emma.
In the past zone we can meet King Arthur and Lancelot (that I remind you have died in the EF in season two, so the only way to see him in Camelot will be on flashbacks, or in this alleged past zone).  This zone can also be related to Killian’s past and Arthur can be the king who sent him on that mission.
The present zone is the zone where the Emma who just became the DO is at. There she would be facing with the temptation, while trying to resist.
I have no idea if I’m way off with this theory, but it would give them a chance to show us how dark Emma can get, but without actually bringing her to the other side. I mean, the one we saw in the cell should be after Emma went completely dark and I don’t see her becoming that person after 10 episodes (or a few weeks).
Also, I would want them to rescue her (and her resisting the darkness with their help) before she goes completely dark, but also it will be very interesting to see how she would become if she would be completely dark and this could be a good way of showing it.
I also think it can be interesting to see Hook coming to this future zone and meeting Emma after she has been the dark one for many years. I want to see their reaction to one another, but also to see him more determent to go to the “present Emma” and save her.
Again, I don’t have all the details in mind (like if someone from the present zone can visit the future zone and so on), but IDK, I think it can be a cool thing to do maybe.
What do you guys think of it?
Can you imagine the scene though?
Regina in full Evil Queen mode, wardrobe and all, gone crazy, and in no control of her actions (maybe because of the Shattered Sight curse), and Robin fighting for her and believing in her, believing that she has good inside even while she’s the EQ. The townsfolk would be scared of her because she’s back to being evil, but Robin would refuse to leave her and would stay by her side until she realises that she is good.
What can you tell us about Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the Dark One? What are her powers like and has she gone full on evil?
EDWARD KITSIS: The right answer is you’re going to see both. Basically, I’m 99% sure it went like this.
