gomnomnom

The lovely GOM on the TGC forum has turned me into a wayfarer!

I’m so happy with the way it came out!

Now, the text that’s surrounding her isn’t random. It says

“Was yea ra enne ar ciel/.”
and
“xA harr hLYUmLYUmOrO eje/.”

Which is hymmnos for:
“A wish for all the world” and “ She sings the songs of her (crazed) heart.”

:D  Thanks so much for GOM to do this!! She came out so amazing!

due to weather we ended up missing all the early stuff (photos & autographs) and then we had a bunch of dead time before the concert so we went to the movies.

the concert itself was wonderful and my little cousins really enjoyed it. there were so many awesome costumes there. i recognized a few people from tumblr and the cav–wanted to say hi but then i chickened out.

this is my second time doing grommet’s makeup and i have learned a lot. i’ll be making a couple slight adjustments for the future (maybe reducing the number of eyelashes and shading the perforated steel tape, stuff like that). i can’t wait to be her again

work in progress!

i’ve been wanting to make a fanbot for a while so today i started scribbling over pictures of my face. design is subject to vary WILDLY depending on how bad i decide it looks :X

the end goal is to cosplay this at some point. i have the little hat already and i’ll use the same wig from my team rocket outfit.

currently alternating between calling her gasket or grommet but those names seem like they’d be super common for bots. does anyone know whether those names are taken? basically i just want something that starts with a g

White Cloak Scarf WIP

I don’t think I’ve posted this here before, but I started this scarf a while ago. Haven’t had much time to work on it this past month but it’s currently seven symbols long.

injured myself a couple times (minor) but the grommet skirt is finished. it isn’t perfect but i’m super proud of it. vest is halfway done. will try to make an oversized wrench for paul (to match the screwdriver).

but! i finally came up with possible company names and designed the logo. still no backstory, but the logo was somewhat important since i needed it for paul’s nametag.

company name’ll be something like guentzler tech or guentzler research. or i may end up changing it to something else starting with g. but i wanted to base grommet’s inventor off my grandmother, whose maiden name is guentzler.

you can see the two final logos above (flat + 3D), along with all my brainstorming. briefly toyed with the idea of calling it “miller tech” and thought it might be funny to use the walter robotics logo upside down so the w looks like an m.

ultimately decided on the hex nut shaped like the letter g.
