goings on about town

complicite  asked:

clouds & white sheets ♡

clouds: list your top 5 songs at the moment and how they make you feel.

oh thank you for choosing this one c: here they are:

streets of philadelphia by bruce springsteen - it forces me to turn back the time and go back to my childhood town, and think about how much i’ve changed through the years.

can’t help falling in love by elvis presley - it makes me want to find, you know, the one (although i probably won’t lmao). but it also reminds me of my otp jULES ST CLAIR AND GEM from @simstellation‘s LEGACY

to all of you by syd matters - oh god, this is probably my favourite. it reminds me of the happiest moments in my life; playing on the playground with my childhood friends, going to the cinema and to the library with my best nerdy friend (who left me a while ago so that’s sad), buying ice cream at my uncle’s shop, texting my internet friends, staying up all night…

ashitaka and san from princess mononoke - this one is so melancholic and smooth and calm and if you know the story of mononoke you just cry your eyes out.

undercover martyn by two door cinema club - this is pure nostalgia. i remember that a few years ago i recorded a dance video to this song with my old friends. it was hilarious, but, you know, i’m kinda ashamed right now :’)

white sheets: where’s somewhere you would love to travel to? why?

i’d love to go on a road trip around the us someday. or maybe just visit a few states, but still - it to be a proper road trip. i know i could die a happy girl if i did this. with a small group of friends, of course!

thank you so, so much for this ask, @complicite. i had such a great time!

ask me more!

Carolina

So, Harry has said before that his favourite song is Free Fallin’ by John Mayer, which as you may know is a cover of a famous song by Tom Petty. The opening line to Free Fallin’ is “She’s a good girl” - sound familiar?

Now let me draw your attention to another Tom Petty song (technically Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, he was in a band before going solo too) called Mary Jane’s Last Dance. If you don’t know it, you might guess from just the title that it’s about a woman, but the name Mary Jane might also make you think of a certain drug. Does this woman/drug ambiguity seem familiar?

Well as it turns out, the lyrics of Mary Jane’s Last Dance are quite thematically similar to Carolina. The opening line of MJLD is “She grew up in an Indiana town” vs the opening line of Carolina - “She’s got a family in Carolina”. Some other interesting lyrics:

where marinette flirts
  • so alya told her to start flirting with adrien if she liked him so much, and the magazines give her step-by-step guides with 15 ~Chill~ Ways to Flirt With Your Crush Without Totally Embarrassing Yourself, so there’s no way this can go horribly wrong, right?
  • okay but marinette has to be realistic, when has anything ever gone right for her?
  • 1. like their instagram and watch their snapchat: okay but marinette already does this, she follows all of adrien’s social media and collects his takes from photoshoots and knows his schedule, and honestly, there’s really nothing he does that she doesn’t know about it? the whole point of watching his snapchat and liking his instagram would be for him to notice her, but it’s not like she can tell him that she does this, because that would be creepy right? but for the most part she thinks she has this part down pat.
  • 2. make eye contact: and this one is damn near impossible. every time she looks at adrien, and he looks back, her heart turns into a puddle and she wants to melt. but okay, the magazine said to make eye contact, so that’s maintain eye contact, right? don’t look away as soon as he catches her looking. okay, she tells herself. i can do this.
  • adrien and marinette spend the rest of the week in multiple staring contests. alya and nino are extremely confused, but the game catches on, and soon the whole class spends Madame Bustier’s lectures in staring contests with the rest of their classmates. there’s a running scoreboard, and chloe and alya are surprisingly good at the game, which isn’t that surprisingly at all considering how many glare-showdowns they’ve had throughout the year.
  • adrien just wants to beat marinette once, and how is it fair she’s so good at this??? marinette just wants to know why it’s not working; she hasn’t gone through dry eyes, blurry vision, and headaches for nothing. at this point, she’s read to pour Johnson’s No More Tears shampoo directly in her eyes to get them back to normal.
  • 3. let your emojis do the talking: 🍆😛:eggplant: :yum:
  • alya sent it from marinette’s phone, and marinette is too busy dying to say anything about it. adrien still buys her eggplants for a month because he thinks they’re her favorite.
  • 4. wave and say “hi” when they walk by: marinette had to quit when her over-aggressive wave nailed nino in the nose and broke it. alya called him “raccoon eyes” for weeks. it didn’t matter though, adrien didn’t even wave back (though it might have been because his best friend was bleeding on the school steps).
  • 5. invite your crush to hang out as a group: seems easy enough, right? she invites alya, nino, and adrien over for a study group at her house, but alya and nino cancel at the last minute to give her “some alone time with adrien”. only it doesn’t work out that way because she’s forced to actually learn physics when adrien notices she had some troubles with it and tutors her for the rest of the night.
  • 6. say something simple, then keep the conversation going: marinette had trouble talking to adrien in the first place, so it was a miracle if she even got something simple out. adrien saves her the trouble anyway when he complicates her cat sweater, but it doesn’t go the way she imagined because it devolves into a heated argument over whether chat noir or ladybug was better, and oh my god, how could she be arguing with her crush over how much she sucked?
  • 7. remember what they tell you, and bring it up later: so adrien refuses to speak to her since she said ladybug sucked, and marinette is panicking internally 24/7. she makes him a hat to apologize because it’s summer and it’s blue, and when he asks her how she knew blue was his favorite color, she just smiles and tells him she read it in a magazine article.
  • adrien looks touched either way while marinette wishes she could sink through the floor because she’d gone nearly a whole year without adrien knowing she read magazine articles about him.
  • 8. give them a sincere compliment:
  • adrien: “so what do we know about penguins already for this biology presentation?”
marinette: “penguins are inefficient walkers…. they’re cute…. but not cuter than you.”
    adrien: “…thanks, marinette.”
  • adrien: “thanks, marinette. you’re so helpful.”
marinette: “that’s me. i’m always helpful. i’ll always try to help you. you know, like… i’d totally hold a revolving door for you. i know that’s counterproductive, but you’re worth it.”
  • adrien: “god, they never get all the makeup off after a shoot.”
marinette: “you know, i would really be okay with seeing you without makeup. that’s how much i like you.”
    adrien: “what?”
    marinette: “what?”
  • 9. casually touch their arm when you’re talking: marinette casually strokes adrien’s arm during their next study session.
adrien: “… why are you touching my arm?”
marinette: “i’m checking the seam work.”
    adrien: “….that’s my skin though.”
marinette: “shh, don’t disrupt a designer at work.”
  • 10. offer them a fry: okay, but marinette doesn’t particularly like fries, so she figured she’d find another way to work this in. it happens one morning while she’s about to go to town on her croissant when she overhears adrien mentioning to nino that he’d forgot his breakfast, so she shoves the food in front of him and rushes away. alya can’t stop laughing at agreste’s startled expression when marinette shoved a croissant in his face without prompt. regardless, alya shares her own breakfast when marinette admits she didn’t have anything else to eat.
  • 11. give them something thoughtful: marinette buys adrien a ladybug-spotted scarf because she knows he likes the superhero. he protests when she gives it to him, but she just shrugs and said she owed him one anyway after dissing his favorite superhero before.
  • the next day he gives her a matching chat noir one.
  • 12. tease them: she can barely keep a straight face when she teases adrien in front of nino and alya about always smelling like camembert. she even buys him three cheese wheels one day, but he only flushes darkly as he shoves them in his bag. she wants to apologize in case she hurt his feelings, but later that day, she notices that the cheese is gone.
  • man, he must really like his cheese, she thinks in awe, and spends the rest of the day trying to figure out why adrien kept glaring at his bag during class.
  • 13. steal their hat and put it on your head: adrien doesn’t wear hats, so she stole nino’s instead. adrien spent the rest of the day trying to set her up with his best friend.
  • 14. ruffle their hair: marinette ruffles adrien’s hair when she walks into the classroom one morning. some strands end up tangled in her bracelet, and the two spend the remainder of class in the nurse’s office as she tries to cut them loose.
  • 15. sit in their lap: marinette is a little hesitant to try this one, but alya ends up taking matters into her own hands and pushes marinette into adrien’s lap one day while the three of them and nino were visiting a cafe for lunch. marinette is flustered and apologizes profusely, and she finally finds the courage to look into his eyes. but instead of angry!agreste, she seems wide, shocked green eyes as adrien begins to laugh uncontrollably. marinette starts to giggle and shakes her head and it’s not until she looks at him again that she realizes… this whole situation seems really familiar…
  • “…chat noir?” she asks suddenly.
  • “what?” adrien asks.
  • “what?” alya asks.
  • “what?” nino asks.
  • “oh my god,” marinette says and dies.

Needless to say, flirting was not her forte. But hey, she still got the man in the end, right? …. alright, it’s a work and progress, but still.

shakespeare aesthetics

romeo and juliet: suburban july. scraped knees, bruised knuckles, blood in your teeth. bare feet on hot concrete. restlessness. your high school’s empty parking lot. love poems in your diary. a window open to coax in a breeze. burning inside. an ill-fitting party dress, a t-shirt you cut up yourself, the time you tried to give yourself bangs. biking to your friend’s house. bubble gum. gas station ice. the feeling that you’ve met before. rebellion. a car radio playing down the street. cheap fireworks. a heart drawn on the inside of your wrist with sharpie. switchblades. red solo cups. dancing in your bedroom. screaming yourself hoarse. running out of options. the forlorn-looking basketball hoop at the end of the cul-de-sac. climbing onto your roof at night while your parents are asleep. flip-flops. a eulogy written on looseleaf. the merciless noontime sun.

king lear: cement block buildings. power lines that birds never perch on. the end of the world. useless words. rainless thunder, heat lightning, a too-big sky. arthritic knuckles. broken glass. chalk cliffs. the pulsing red-black behind closed eyes. something you learned too late. wet mud that sucks up your shoes while you walk. a cold stare. empty picture frames. empty prayers. the obscenity of seeing your parents cry. a treeless landscape. bloody rags. grappling in the dark with reaching hands. the sharpness at the tips of your teeth. the blown-out windows of skeletal houses. decay. jokes that aren’t jokes, shutting up, holding your tongue. prophecies. aching muscles, tired feet. stinging rain. invoking the gods, wondering if the gods are listening, wondering if the gods are dead. white noise. shivers. numbness. the unequivocal feeling of ending.

a midsummer night’s dream: wet soil/dead leaves smell. listening to music on headphones with your eyes closed. wildflowers. the distant sparkle of lightning bugs. a pill somebody slipped you. fear that turns to excitement, excitement that turns to frenzy. mossy tree trunks. a pair of yellow eyes in the darkness. night swimming. moonlight through the leaves. a bass beat in your chest. a butterfly landing on your nose. a kiss from a stranger. a dark hollow in an old tree. glow-in-the-dark paint. drinking on an empty stomach. a twig breaking behind you. spinning until you’re dizzy. finding glitter on your body and not remembering where it came from. an overgrown path through the woods. cool dew on your skin. a dream that fades with waking. moths drawn to the light. giving yourself over, completely. afterglow. the long, loving, velvety night.

Jar Alternatives

While many of us have a plethora of jars, not everyone does. I know I couldn’t use jars in spellwork when I was practicing as a minor. Maybe, you’re a student, living with others, or still in the “broom closet”, either way here is a list of alternative ideas to jars.

1. Christmas Ornaments
(The clear Christmas bulbs you can put things inside of are great for fitting in small crystals and herbs!)

2. Boxes
(I’ve used a small gift box before and filled it with herbs and intent, the box could be any size you want [even a ring box])

3. A Casette Case
(These may not be as common anymore [You may still be able to find at a thrift shop. but I personally like the aesthetic. You can take a lighter to seal it shut or add candle wax if you’d like to use in place of a Witch Bottle.)

4. A Juice/Pop Bottle (Personally, I’d choose something like a Snapple bottle if I were to go this route)

5. Shot bottles
(I found some littered about town when I was 18 and actually used one to store sand I ended up using for putting out my sage. If you’re under 18, I don’t suggest upcycling shot bottles found littered about. If you’re of legal age to buy alcohol, this is another way to upcycle.)

6. Gumball machines
(I remember for my birthday one year, my mom had me decorate a mini gumball machine. You could use it magically as well. You can buy things to make them from dollar tree. You’ll need a terra cotta pot and dish as well as a fish bowl. Turn the pot upside down, glue the bowl to it and place the terra cotta dish on top as a lid. Decorate as you will. I think this would be awesome for something to do with promoting happiness, prosperity, and the like.)

7. Sachets

8. Books
( You can get one of those stash boxes that look like books OR if you’re crafty, take a damaged book and cut into and turn into into a stash box.)

9. Stash Cans
(If you need to be discreet, you can purchase a marijuana stash can. They sell ones that look like Arizona Tea cans on Amazon.)

10. Locket
(There isn’t very much space but you can still fill it with a pinch of herbs and intent.)

11.A Coin Purse
(I had one somewhere…possibly stolen or thrown out… That I used for a set of runes I made out of deer antler buttons. They’re perfect for holding small things like crystals too!)

12.
Zip-lock bags
(This isn’t as creative as other items on the list but it gets the job done.)

13. Witch’s Bottle Necklace
(Okay, so this is still using jars technically. However, it’s easy to make it look more like a fashion statement than a spell. )

14. Sea shells
(They come in many shapes and sizes. You may not be able to close unless you have a whole clam, but they do look pretty and many people do collect sea shells.)

15. Tins
(You can re-use an old Altoids tin. You can purchase tins from Mountain Rose Herbs. They’re convenient if you’re on the go. They can be used as travel altars, containers for crystal chips, feathers, odds and ends, herbs, etc. )

Something about Fate

Dean decides to go to a new psychic in town - just for the hell of it, of course - with his roommate Castiel, and doesn’t get the reading he was expecting.

~5.2k

AO3

“Hey, Cas, have you ever been to a psychic?”

Dean watched as Castiel looked up from his book with his eyebrows pinched together.

“No.” A pause. “Why do you ask?”

Dean shrugged.

“Garth texted me. Apparently there’s one in town that he went to yesterday and he’s obsessed. He said she really knows her stuff.”

Castiel raised an eyebrow before returning his attention to the textbook he had sprawled across their kitchen counter, so he could eat and study at the same time - a sight that was not all that uncommon in their apartment.

“Psychics don’t exists, Dean,” he said, matter-of-factly, as he turned the page. “People who claim to be psychic are scammers hoping to draw in the desperate or the gullible. Garth is the latter, I’m afraid.”

“Hey, he’s not -”

“Remember when Gabriel told him that stop signs with a white rim around them were optional?”

Dean rolled his eyes and pulled out a stool on the opposite side of the counter from his roommate.

“Duh, Cas. I know that they aren’t legit. Everyone does. But at the very least they’re supposed to be super good at reading people and then you essentially pay them to tell you what their first impression of you is.”

A small smile crept its way across Castiel’s face.

“I could tell you that for free, you know.”

Dean flipped him off as he got up and pulled out an apple from the refrigerator, not even bothering to look back as he did so.

“Whatever. I think it could be kind of cool.”

“Then by all means…” Castiel wrote something down in a notepad and flipped to the next page. “I think you should do it. I have free time tomorrow if you’d like to find this psychic then.”

Dean tossed the apple between his hands.

“You’d come with me?”

“Of course. I would never miss the opportunity to witness someone predicting your death.”

Castiel laughed as Dean flipped him off again.

How OW Characters Be Like as College Roommates

Mercy:

  • So sweet and easily likeable.
  • Very clean but she has a huge stack of medical books on her desk built like a fortress.
  • Always fretting over her roommate to make sure they are taking care of themselves, exercising, eating healthy, sleeping at a decent hour (honestly when you are in college wtf is sleep)
  • Always a great study buddy during exams or needs general advice

Symmetra:

  • The room has to be clean and follow a specific aesthetic on both sides of the room or else it will drive her crazy.
  • Cleans and moves items around every day so the space looks “presentable”
  • Generally very quiet and distant but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be your friend. She just isn’t the best at socialising at times.
  • Loves having cute small plants in the room to give it some…life, haha.

Tracer:

  • Very energetic roommate who insists on spontaneous outings whether that is going to McDonald’s at midnight or going to one of Lucio’s parties
  • Pretty clean room overall but she often leaves her hoodies scattered all the place. Girl can’t stay committed to one jacket in a single day.
  • Instantly become BFF’s with this gal as she is very open and LOVES to talk about dating or gossiping.
  • Insists that every Friday you and she go out to have a girls night. It could be anything that the two of you like whether that be shopping, watching a movie, getting a pedicure, a n y t h i n g.

D.Va:

  • So. Many. Bloody. Posters. All colourful of her favourite video games and K-Pop stars.
  • She is very cool as a roommate but beware you will have to stay up late every night when D.Va streams and is playing video games. So noise may be a problem.
  • Has a terrific fashion sense and will always hook you up with a cute outfit depending on the occasion (she will dress you up for a party or a date, no matter what)
  • She isn’t the one to go to for studying as she is the master at procrastinating. Somehow she does everything last minute and gets decent grades.

Zarya:

  • You barely see her that much in residence or on campus since she is either working out or practising with her competitive team.
  • Kinda like a big sister figure who is totally down to crushing some guys who were being dicks.
  • Because she isn’t around much, the room is relatively clean and barely do you have to remind her to do her part of the cleaning. She always takes her vows seriously.
  • The closet space is full of Zarya’s weights, sports balls, and other equipment.

Mei:

  • Pretty shy and has the cutest smile. Like you want to engulf her in a hug upon meeting her and omg you were so lucky to have her as your roomie.
  • She is always so positive and an early riser. While you might feel a bit dead inside this girl has brought you a cup of coffee to see if it will give you that wake-up call.
  • A great study buddy when needed. She knows everything about geography and various sciences. This girl always gets straight A’s in everything she does.
  • Loves buying you cute small gifts when you are stressed. Bless her soul <3

Sombra:

  • Has so much tech in the room that it looks like a hacking centre rather than a bedroom.
  • While she might look a bit shady she is pretty darn cool and will be brutally honest with you.
  • Always has some random person in the room. Often times she is helping them get back at another person for their douche behaviour. Sombra is like the avenger for all broken hearts.
  • Does this girl get any sleep? Or leave the room? Whenever you get back from a class, Sombra is always seated at her desk doing god knows what. When you remark on her hermit skills she just laughs and says, “You don’t even know half of what I do sweetheart.”

Jack Morrison:

  • Really clean, simple, minimalistic look space.
  • A polite and honest guy overall. He isn’t really into parties but isn’t a hardcore introvert who stays in his room all day.
  • Always willing to help and always knows when something is on your mind. He just sits in his seat and watches you carefully before speaking if you are alright.
  • That guy who will always invite you to go to the dining hall with. He just wants you to feel comfortable and included <3

Gabriel Reyes:

  • Like Jack, his room is pretty average and simple but carries his go to basketball, small weights, jump rope,
  • I swear this man have so many pairs of sweatpants. That’s all he really wears so the laundry basket is always full of his dirty sweatpants.
  • Really chill and can be such a tease and a pain. But if you are stressed or pissed about something this guy will insist you two go out to town or exercise that toxic out of your system.
  • Did I say that he gives great advice and is the perfect wingman? This guy knows how to make chicks soon and he always has a guest over.

Genji:

  • So much anime posters and one inspirational quote is plastered on the door. Despite his weebness he is really cool and inspirational to others!
  • The room always feels so clean and calm. Genji always makes sure that a nice scent of peppermint is circulating in the air.
  • Wakes up very early in the morning and is so quiet about it. Like if you had a busy night he will make sure the next morning that he is extra careful to not wake you up.
  • Will unexpectedly bring you a cup of tea every day. The flavours vary and it is always exciting to see what he brings the next day.

Lucio:

  • Dude’s got cool lights attached around the ceiling and glow a faint light that isn’t too harsh for the eyes.
  • So excited and hyper to be here! Honestly, this sweet guy is asking all kinds of question such as where you from, your name, what program you are in etc.
  • Encourages you to go to parties. He is little too great at persuading you to join him. But the night always ends on a good note so who cares.
  • Always asks for your opinion on his demos. If you don’t like it, he will work on it again until you are satisfied with it. Seems like you got a good music taste.

McCree:

  • The room is like military clean on the first week but afterward it is pretty messy, with McCree’s shirts and pants littered all over the floor that didn’t quite make it to the full basket and more dirty clothes.
  • If you need a friend to binge watch a tv show or movie series, this guy is so down with it. He likes to just sit back, share a case of beer and have fun.
  • He snores very loudly at exactly 4 AM and it drives you crazy. The cowboy on rare nights does have bad nightmares and when you wake him up to ask if he is okay he will just smile and shrug it off.
  • Probably spends most of the time in the common lounge room as he likes to sit back and talk to anyone who may be around. Literally brings the floor together with his cheesy jokes and natural charms.

Junkrat:

  • The room looks like a bomb went off….oh wait a bomd did just go off!
  • Crazy messy that honestly it is probably best that you burn the room and start all over (don’t give Junkrat any ideas now!)
  • Junkrat is rather wild but when he isn’t doing something dangerous he is just fun to be around. Dude always has the most wicked sense of humour.
  • This guy barely studies but in certain courses he is brilliant. No one on the floor expected this kid to be really smart at something. Don’t be deceived by his wild looks.

Winston:

  • Looks like a space station. Kidding. But he does have a poster of Albert Einstein.
  • Has the biggest stash of peanut butter tucked away under his bed that no one knows bout except his roommate.
  • A gentle fellow who always encourages you to reach your potential. He is amazing at teaching and giving very heartwarming lectures about working hard and doing what you love most.
  • Is the floor representative and all the RA’s in the residence building loves him for his optimistic attitude (plus he doesn’t break the rules…unlike Junkrat).

A few months ago, my oldest son, Charlie, came out to me as a homosexual.

He sat his mother and I down in the living room and confessed everything to us; about how he had always felt attraction towards men, for his entire life. He even told us that he had a boyfriend who he wanted to introduce us to. Justine and I had always had our suspicions about Charlie, but we were still shocked by our son’s revelation.

Suffice to say, Charlie is no longer a son of mine.

You see, every now and again, teenagers in our town get unnatural urges. We try to correct these impure desires early- teach kids right from wrong. If you don’t nip these thoughts in the bud while they’re still young, they’ll manifest as behaviour in adolescence. We pull offending children up and tell them, again and again, from morning worship to Sunday school.

“Your ungodly impulses are a choice” we lecture. “You can choose Heaven or you can choose Hell. Which will it be?” For many youth, the threat of damnation is enough to set them on the right path. But there are those who cling to their perversions, convincing themselves that their lifestyle choice is the correct one.

If only we had beat it out of them. Maybe that could have saved Charlie.

I’ll never understand what compels teens to commit such awful sin. Some say that it’s the media, corrupting the minds of the youth. Others think that it’s just the primal evil of humanity, inevitably seeping through. All I know for sure is that these teenagers go about defiling the Lord, and our town, remorselessly.

There are probably those out there who would call us intolerant. That’s fine by us. We believe that there are some transgressions that simply shouldn’t be tolerated, under any circumstances.

And we will never tolerate abduction, torture and murder.

No, I don’t have a gay son. I don’t have a gay son, because those twisted f*cking bastards killed him.

What Do You Feel?

Who: Jughead Jones
Where: Riverdale

{Decided to try out a jug imagine}

Part One ||| Part Two

[Y/N] had, had enough. She couldn’t stand the one-sided tension between herself and Jughead. She respected Jug enough to give him space and time for this novel of his. She was thrilled about his idea and fully stood by what he was trying to achieve. [Y/N] would always support Jughead in everything he did because she absolutely loved him for who he was. She would never dare try to change a single thing because that was what made Jughead, Jughead.

But, this summer and the beginning of the school year was driving her insane. She felt second best and despite knowing that Jug needed to invest as much time as he needed into this novel, she just couldn’t’ stand having one-sided conversations. [Y/N] needed to know if anything more was going to come out of their odd relationship.

Nothing was ever talked about what they were, it just sort of happened. It was known that [Y/N] was off limits to any boy in Riverdale and not that Jughead had a line of girls waiting for him but it was clear who had his attention. Even Archie and Betty never talked about it, it was just there. A relationship built without words. But, [Y/N] needed answers. She could deal with the little notions of affection Jug would throw in her direction. In fact, she loved it. She loved that Jughead would reach across the table and gently grab her hand and hold it while he reread paragraph after paragraph; running his thumb over the top of her hand while she worked on her homework or read a book. She especially loved it when he’d just look at her and cup her face and press his warm lips against hers. Or when he’d gently bump into her on their way to her house and swiftly fit her hand inside his. And even the moments when he’d finally put his laptop away and they’d binge watch horror movies and pull her into his chest.

No words. Just actions. And [Y/N] could live with that. But being blatantly ignored and feeling as if she was talking to a brick wall, just wasn’t cutting it. She couldn’t sleep at night thinking that everything she had tried to talk to Jughead about, he didn’t even hear. It was frustrating because she was a human being that wanted to talk out her feelings. Express her everlasting love she had for him and wanting to know if he felt the same.

“Jughead.”

The tone in her voice snapped Jug from his thoughts, tearing his eyes from his screen. His brows furled as he looked at her standing in the doorway of the Blue and Gold news room. “[Y/N]?”

Stepping inside, she flickered a look towards Betty who gave her a concerned look. [Y/N] was never stern, and it was odd that she sounded so. “Could you give us a minute, Betty?”

Betty nodded, ruffling around and gathering papers to sort through in another room. “Of course, [Y/N]. Um, I’ll be back later.” Zipping by her friend, she exited the room.

“We need to talk.” [Y/N] said with the same tone as before, she was fidgeting with her fingers, trying to figure out her next words. It was now or never.

Jughead chose to ignore her strange behavior, “I really can’t, I’m finishing up the last few pages of this chapter.” Turning his focus back onto his laptop, his fingers started typing away. “You understand.” He spoke quickly before diving back into it.

An irritated sigh came from her lips as she turned around and shut the door. Slamming it loud enough to catch Jughead’s attention again. Turning to face him, she crossed her arms across her chest. “That’s the thing, Jug. Your novel is exactly what I want to talk about.”

Sensing that [Y/N] was as serious as her tone, he turned in his chair to face her. Nodding, he motioned towards the air. “Okay, shoot.”

“Am I second best to it?” She asked, her voice faltering a little. Her eyes were drilling into his, glossed over from feeling the emotion building inside her.

“What? No.” His eyes squinted, slightly shocked she asked. “What does that even mean, [Y/N]?”

“Second best, Jughead. Am I a less adequate, less desirable alternative?”

“Why would even ask me that, [Y/N]?”

Tears were brimming her eyes, taking a deep breath, she walked over towards him. Pulling a chair right in front of him. She sat down, her heart sinking further into her chest. Afraid to venture into this conversation. “Jughead, I love this novel of yours. I think it’s great, and if anyone is going to write about this town, it’s you. No one else could ever pull it off like you will.” Pressing her lips together, she looked up at the cracked ceiling. “But, it seems like that’s all you ever do. We used to talk to Jug. Talk all night about everything and anything. And when we would, I forgot where I was for the moment. All that mattered was that you and I were together. And that one day we would leave this town together and embark on this adventure away from Riverdale. But, I feel like you don’t feel the same.”

Jughead took in her words, analyzing them in his head. Taking in her hurt tone and trying to understand them. Was he invested in his novel, of course. Did he want to make [Y/N] feel like she was second best? Absolutely not. As much as he was a fluid with his words on paper, speaking them out loud was a different story. Jughead wasn’t normally one to shy away from voicing his opinion or putting his two sense in something he shouldn’t. But when it came to [Y/N], she took the literal words straight from his mouth and put them in a blender. He could never express what he felt other than by just showing her what she meant to him.

“Can you say something, Jug?”

Biting his lip, he looked down at his hands. “I don’t know what you want me to say, [Nickname].”

Sucking in hair, she ran both hands through her hair. “I want you tell me what you feel, Jug. I want to know what you truly think of me. If I’m just crazy and think what we have is more than what it really is. You write so beautifully, Jughead. I’ve read your stuff and for someone who’s so elegantly articulate, you never use them with me. I want you to use your words, Jug.” Her voice was breaking and it pained Jughead to see her so upset. How did he not see this coming? How could he have been so blind?

“[Y/N],” He started, his mouth pursed as he tried to pick the perfect words from the garden in his brain. “We function without words. That’s how it’s always been. I couldn’t tell you when we started us, because in a way we were always us. Just somewhere along the line, you and I delved into different world and never left. It worked. I shouldn’t have to tell you that I care about you, [Y/N]. It’s written clear as day on my face when I kiss your lips.”

Closing her eyes, she bowed her head. “That’s the point. We never talked about us and maybe we should have because I’m so confused, Jug.”

His brows knitted together, the wrinkle along his forehead becoming more defined. “What are you confused about, [Y/N]?”

Looking at him in his eyes, she calmly asked. “Is your novel more important then what we have?”

Jughead hesitated, the words getting caught in his throat. Closing his mouth, he shook his head. “No.”

“Oh, Juggie.” She breathed, a tear falling from her eye. “If you had to think, then I know my answer.”

“What do you want me to do, [Y/N]! This is who I am, you knew this before you dived head first into my dark waters. I am not the only one to blame for this.”

Standing up, [Y/N] whimpered out. “I want you to fight for me, Jug. I want you to tell me I’m being crazy and that this-whatever I’m feeling will pass. That you’ll make it up to me or that you love me or something.”

Jughead stood up too, his eyes searching hers. “I don’t know what to say, [Nickname]. What I feel for you can’t be described because I really don’t know what I feel. You’ve always just been there, [Y/N]. I care for you, I do. I just don’t know what more I can give you then what I’m already giving you.”

She stepped forward, “What do you feel when you kiss me, Jug? What do you feel when you hold my hand? What do you feel when I’m lying on your chest in the middle of the night? What do you feel when you haven’t seen me all day? Do you even feel anything for me at all? Am I just some girl you can practice on for the real thing?” Tears were falling now, she couldn’t hold them back anymore. “We’ve been best friends since were six, Jughead. I’ve grown up with you, watched you turn into the person you are and fell in love with it all. You’re flaws, you’re oddly humorous morbid personality, everything.”

Shaking his head, and turning slightly away from her. His hand reached up to his forehead, “[Y/N],” he warned.

Taking in a deep breath to settle her tears, she scrunched up her nose and wiped underneath her nose. “I can’t do this anymore, Jug.” Biting her lip, she held back a whimper at his darkened facial expression. The cold look he gave her was enough to shatter her fragile heart.

“So, that’s it, then?” Jug asked coldly.

Avoiding his harsh stare, she softly spoke out. “I asked a simple question and you couldn’t give me the answer. So why should I pretend that I never asked? I screwed up, I had this picture in my head of how we are supposed to be and we are far from that picture.”

“You’re throwing away years of friendship because-“

“-because I love you, Jughead. It’s just like Betty and Archie except in our case, you fed it. You kissed me, you held me, you caressed me. Over and over again.” Moving the chair back to its place, she wiped away more tears. “I’m too emotionally invested in you to continue our friendship right now but maybe when I get over it, we can go back to how it used to be, the days before you first kissed me on my front porch.”

“[Y/N],” he called out to her.

Shaking her head, she headed for the door. Swinging it open, she looked over her shoulder and pressed a smile. “I’ll always love you, Jug. That I have no control over but they say the soul usually knows what to do to heal itself, the only challenge is to silence the mind.”

Jughead watched her walk out of the news room, his heart pounding in his chest. What in the world just happened? Never in a million years would he have ever pictured his life without [Y/N]. She was essential to his life. She had always been there, always. Despite Archie being his best friend, so was [Y/N] but in a different way. She believed in everything he wanted to do, no matter how crazy. She was always someone he could rely on no matter what. And even though she would still be present in his life by going to the same school.

It felt like a part of him had been ripped from his body and thrown away, lost in the cruel world they lived in. He felt empty.

“Juggie?” Betty was leaning against the doorframe, “Everything okay?”

He stood there for a minute, still stunned that apart of him just walked away from him. “No.” He shook his head, “No, everything is not okay.”

Imagine Crowley has a confession for you

Crowley X Reader

“We need him, whether you guys like it or not.” You stood in front of the demon, your hands on the blades you kept in your pockets, ready to pull them at any second. The Winchester’s exchanged surprised glances at your behavior. “You kill him, I kill you. Got it?” You looked between the two, waiting for an answer other than their shocked facial expressions.

“What has gotten into you?” Dean growled, taking a step towards you. You pulled out one of the blades and rested it against your thigh, a subtle threat.

“I’m doing my job without letting my emotions get the best of me. You should try it sometime.” You snapped. Dean’s jaw clenched, obviously more than annoyed with you. This was out of character for you. You always showed Sam and Dean the upmost respect, but something about the man behind you caused a shift within. You knew you had to protect him.

“Then you deal with him.” Dean pointed a finger at you, something a father would do to his daughter, and then turned to leave, Sam following behind. Sam looked over his shoulder at you, concern in his eyes. You sighed, giving him the smallest of smiles to reassure him. Once the Winchester’s were gone, you turned to face the cause of the situation.

“That was quite the show, Poppet.” Crowley smirked. “Seeing you get so defensive over little old me gets me bothered in all of the right ways.”

“Shut up.” You snapped, running a hand through your hair and pulling up a chair so that you could sit across from him. “I just need you to tell me about the deals going on in this town. There’s too many and we don’t know how to stop them all.”

“You don’t. They’re deals, (Y/n). Once those morons lock lips with one of my demons, that’s that.” He shook his head at you. “Why don’t we talk about something else, yeah? How about the way you can’t stand to see me tortured and beaten? Or the way you’re constantly trying to justify the evil things I do?”

“Don’t try and turn this into some twisted romance. I’m here to save those peop-”

“Romance? I didn’t say anything about romance, Kitten.” Crowley raised his brows, feigning innocence.

“I don’t care what you said.” You threw your hands to your side, starting to get aggravated.

“How about you tell me why you haven’t pulled a knife on me for pissing you off when you were so quick to threaten Moose and Squirrel. They’re like family to you and you were ready to kill them to protect a demon.” He was getting inside your head. You stood up from your seat, turning away from him. You considered pulling out your other blade, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Why couldn’t you do it? You shook your head, annoyed with yourself. “You know, I’ve done the same thing.” You turned back to him, confused.

“What are you talking about?” You almost snapped.

“Have you never found it off that none of my demons have ever come after you?” He asked. Honestly, you never really thought about it, but now that he’s mentioned it, you can’t remember a demon ever attacking you specifically. “That’s because when the thought even crosses their mind, I take their head off their shoulders.” Crowley’s eyes were following your every move. “Because I can’t stand the thought of you getting hurt.”

“Why are you telling me this?” You blinked, more confused than ever. “Listen, I just want to know how to stop-”

“No, you listen.” Crowley interrupted. “You’ve been dancing around this for far too long and I know damn well if I’m not the one to say this, you never will. We care for each other, (Y/n). We protect each other, we go out of our way to make sure only good things come to one another. What does that look like to you?”

“Are you trying to say that you’re in love with me, Crowley?” You walked towards him.

“Well, when you say it like that..” Crowley raised his brows and looked to the floor. “Yes, I guess that is what I’m trying to say.”

I have this really soft fondness for a WWI AU

Conner, Wally, Dick, Roy, and Kaldur are sort of a squad of misfits. Probably why they’re put together, commanders thinking they’d be decent canon fodder. But they get on like a house on fire once they get to know each other.

Kaldur’ahm is constantly battling the incredible amount of racism as a biracial soldier. His father was African American and his mother was a Pacific Islander.

The you have Wally, the smart talking red headed Irish American who deals with that prejudice, but damn can he run. He wanted to be a soccer player - got drafted instead.

Conner is a tank, but he’s got some major authority problems and anger issues.

There’s Dick, who would be the model soldier - but he faked his age when he signed up for the army. He went in under the name Robin, aged 18 but when the team finds out he’s only 16, they cover for him. They’re pissed, but it’s too late to send him home now. They become a little protective of him.

Then there’s Roy, their sniper. Nothing odd about him, he’s just a jackass.

They would look out for each other. Like, they insist on Kaldur being their leader despite higher command sputtering and refusing to give him rank. He gets it anyway. Wally and Dick end up falling in love, and they all keep the relationship quiet.

okay this is going to get long so readmore
