godstorm 0

Godstorm #0 written by Pat Shand, Raven Gregory, Joe Brusha, and Ralph Tedesco

There is nothing new about Greek Gods living as humans in the modern world. There is really nothing new about any mythical being posting as humans–hiding their secret identify in fear or because of some mistake that caused rules to be placed.

However, that does not mean that every once in a while some kind of written material will not come out and make you think “Oh Snap!”

Godstorm #0 is a prologue that starts off with Zeus (doesn’t it always) who is not the cocky, “I can do whatever I want and not care Zeus,” but he is a father. Granted Zeus has always been a father but he is a father in every sense of the word. He misses his children and he feels bad for not being there. This brings something different to the Greek Gods living posing as humans story.

Beyond the content of this comic book, the illustration is amazing and simply breath taking. As detailed as the drawings are it does leave the reader yearning and honestly I am extremely upset I have to wait for #1.

This book gets a 8 out 10. Although it did give reader’s a new side of Zeus and the illustration was moving there was still something missing.
