Can I get headcanons of Kid and Law with an s/o who has panic attacks and insomnia, but doesn't show it until it really effects them?

I’ll split this into two sections, so it’ll make better sense.

S/O with panic attacks:

Law:

  • He’d be really good with handling it.
  • Because I imagine that when he was a kid, he had panic attacks for a long while. (After losing his family, and again after losing Cora-san.)
  • Has personal experience of knowing others that are prone to panic attacks. Like his crew/allies. I also think that his sister Lammy would get panic attacks sometimes when in a huge crowd for too long.
  • He’d be pretty calm, telling them to focus on him, pulling them out of the crowd and into a quieter, more open area. Deep breaths and such.

Kidd:

  • Oh god, don’t go to him for help.
  • He’s HORRIBLE.
  • No idea what to do. CLUELESS AF
  • Most likely ends up making it worse.
  • Probably ends up panicking a little himself, since he probably doesn’t know what’s going on/doesn’t understand. Which leads to him getting angry, most likely.
  • Ends up having to get Killer, who’s GREAT at this. (Later, Kidd tries to get advice/pointers from Killer on how to handle it better.)

With Insomnia:

Law:

  • Pfft, come on, this dude has MAJOR insomnia.
  • Knows all about it, and the tricks and such to get sleep and all that.
  • Even if that means having to do power naps or something.
  • Will help his s/o find what gets them to sleep and such.
  • Or will stay up with them when they can’t. Or distracts them, if that’ll help, too.
  • If it’s REALLY bad, he’d go into Doctor Mode.

Kidd:

  • I like to think that he has SLIGHT insomnia.
  • So he’d have a little insight.
  • Probably has his s/o do what he does when he can’t sleep.
  • Which doesn’t work for them most likely.
  • In which case, he might have them hang around while he’s tinkering or something. Thinking it might make them sleepy.
  • There’s probably nearly always something to do on the ship, so might suggest those.
  • Ends up getting help from Killer at first. After a while, he can usually handle it.
  • Though he’s much better at handling insomnia than panic attacks.

Do you ever get these asks where you don’t know if it’s an ordinary ask or if it’s a request but all of a sudden it doesn’t matter anymore because you get this image of a picture and you suddenly starts laughing and wonder how sick and twisted your mind really is?

It’s a beautiful thing.

Every dragon in my lair has a Sir Terry Pratchett quote. It acts as a basic summary of that dragon’s attitude, beliefs, or personality.

Plus I love quotes and I love Sir Terry Pratchett.

So here are all the quotes you can find in my lair. Some other quotes would have been perfect but thanks to FR’s filters I can’t use ‘em. Tis a shame.

Robert McGinnis’ art for the new paperback edition of Neil Gaman’s American Gods.

NPR asked designer Chip Kidd recently if the art of book design was dead in this era of eBooks. Not only am I not sold on their premise that this is an era of eBooks at all, but I recently bought this edition–my fourth copy of the book, counting the eBook version–solely because I love the new cover art. So there’s my answer to the question, anyway.
