Brigid, you are no longer my Goddess

After researching my ancestors and finding ZERO connection to Irish Polytheism, I am now switching over to Gaulish Polytheism. Over half of my ancestors originated from the Gaul area.

After researching the Gaulish gods and goddesses, I have decided to devote myself to Sucellus and his wife, Nantosuelta. They both reign over prosperity, domestic life, death, nature, and abundance. Sucellus also reigns over the working class, agriculture, good luck, and wine. Nantosuelta reigns over fire, water, miracles, healing, and fertility

They are from the boy idol group based off gods. It was so fun to create these groups with @caramoccii

Anubis was the guardian of all kinds of magical secrets. In the Papyrus Jumilhac, he appears as the leader of the armed followers of Horus. His ferocity is a match for the violence of Seth. In magical texts of a similar date, Anubis is named as ‘Lord of the Bau’. Whole battalions of messenger demons are under his command. In the magical papyri dating to Roman times, Anubis acts as the main enforcer of curses. The gracious deities of the cult temples are scarcely recognizable in the pitiless gods and goddesses encountered in everyday magic. (…) A story in Papyrus Jumilhac (c. 300 BC) explains the custom by relating how Seth once turned himself into a panther after attacking the body of Osiris. Anubis captured and branded the panther, creating the leopard’s spots. The jackal god decreed that leopard skins should be worn by priests in memory of his victory over Seth.

Baby witch here from an extremely Christian background so my knowledge of wiccan and witches are still very limited, is there a difference between Wiccan and pagan witch/Celtic witch, do they have the same god/goddess the Wiccan do or are there more?

Hey there, love!

This is an interesting question because it deals with the umbrella of paganism.

The term “pagan” generally refers to any non-Christian religion, but is usually used in relation to European-based nature religion. Wicca is one subset of paganism, as is Celtic paganism, et cetera.

Wicca is its own religion, with a focus on the God and Goddess archetypes rather than any specific gods or goddesses. The thought here is that there is one god and one goddess, but they go by many names. Deities in abstract.

Other branches of paganism are more specific. Those (like myself) who identify as Celtic pagan usually worship the Celtic gods. In my case, the gods of the Irish Celts (such as the Morrigan, Brigid, Lugh, Dagda, et cetera). So I specifically worship those gods as opposed to worshipping the deities in abstract as would be done with Wicca and eclectic paganism.

This is why I generally try to encourage respectfully delving and learning more about different cultures and religions. It’ll allow you to discover for yourself what beliefs you identify with most. Witchcraft itself is not a religion so much as a practice, and is secular in nature. However, like prayer, it is a helpful tool in worship and spirituality. As such, witchcraft is prevalent and accepted among many pagan belief systems.

Hope this helps!

Blessed Be! )O(

Binding someone’s mouth.

objective: to make it someone can’t talk about you, too you, or at all depending on what you want. This can be with a real physical poppet, but it can also be done as a quick visualization in your head. It has been effective for me done both ways.

  1. Get a poppet to represent the person you are binding. It’s better to make it yourself and fill it with things that represent/symbolize that person to make it more personal to them.
  2. Put red thread on a sewing needle and start sewing the mouth of a doll. Chant, “Open lips say too much. So i seal your mouth; I bind it shut.”
  3.  Tie off the thread at the end of the mouth. Hide the poppet away somewhere it won’t be bothered or messed with.
  4. To remove the binding cut the thread from the poppet’s mouth.
crystals every witch should have

every crystal has a vibration and an affect on a person. certain crystals prevent negative energies, whereas others attract love. these these are the top 5 crystals every witch should own. (in my opinion)

🌙rose quartz
rose quartz is a very beautiful stone, a crystal of unconditional love. it represents tenderness, healing, nourishment, and comfort. i suggest using this crystal in any love spell.

selenite can evoke an immense amount of protection from foreign realms. It is an extremely spiritual stone, as it dispels negative energy. selenite is a crystallized form of gypsum. it can clear, open, and activate the crown and higher chakras, making it excellent for all types of spiritual work.

citrine is a yellow/orange variety of quartz. it is a powerful gem, as it is well known for it’s cleansing abilities. it can be used to cleanse you, your magickal tools, and other crystals. it can also diffuse a situation or disturbance in your home, such as nightmares.

amethyst is a light to dark purple variety of quartz. it helps deepen meditation, improves psychic ability, and aids in the remembrance of dreams. wearing the crystal, placing it on your pillow, nightstand, or altar will produce the greatest effect. it is a good offering to any gods or goddesses you believe in.

ruled by the moon, this milky white in color crystal aids in dream recall and increases intuition. it calms emotions, like rose quartz, and benefits health. like the moon in the sky, it seems to illuminate.

i believe that crystals choose you. in whatever time you need them most, their vibrations will draw you to them. if you are going to buy a crystal or start a collection, i’d suggest going to your local crystal shop to buy them, unless you know exactly what you want. enjoy your crystal collecting!
