“I will give thanks to You, O Lord, with my whole heart.” - Psalm 138:1

I began a “Thankfulness” journal a month ago.

I was sleeping on a friend’s couch, living on my own without a place of my own, on an income too low to hardly pay gas and food, job searching 8 hours a day, and growing a lot by being way outside my comfort zone. Every day I had -at least- a page to fill of people and things I was blessed by. Thankfulness is not based on circumstances as much as an attitude of the heart. I wanted God to grow mine through this.

It has taught me to take the time each day to be grateful for the good in my life and thank God for it. Now I’m finding there is not enough time to thank Him for it all.

Philippians 4:4, Hebrews 13:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:16, Psalm 86:12, Psalm 31:21.

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be on my lips.” - Psalm 34:1

God is good. Not in a my-life-is-so-blessed-He-is-doing-so-much-wow-God-is-so-good way, but a whisper to my own heart to remember the goodness of the Lord. I believe in His goodness. It’s constant.

God is good.
