god inspires

Hello :) any ideas about a boy meeting the Olympian gods on earth, most of which don't really like him? (sry for my terrible grammar)

Hey! Really sorry about the wait. This was the answer that got deleted, so I was ticked off. Anyway, here’s some prompts:

● Demeter is the only one to like the boy because he reminds her of Peresphone.

● “Can I be a demi-god?”

“But you’re Zeus. You can make me one.”

“Not gonna happen.”

“How about like King Midas? But with chocolate.”

“Midas died of starvation.”

“But I wouldn’t because I can eat the chocolate.”

“I’m glad Athena wasn’t born as a child. If she was like you, I’d sincerely regret cheating on Hera.”

● “Can we send him to the underwold?”

“Hades doesn’t deserve a boy as irritating as this one.”

● Hestia defends the boy because she’s a mother-type figure. This leads to an argument that Hestia can’t make decisions becuase she gave up her position as one of the 12 Olympians.

● “He’s a child meeting Olympic gods. Of course he has questions.”

“Yes, wise and rational Athena. I get it, but I’d happily smite him to get him to shut up.”

“You’d have to get through me first, Ares.”

“Sister, that’s a battle I’ve been dying to have.”

“Yeah, because you think the violent side of war can beat the strategic side. Now, I know why I’m the goddess of reason.”

● “Wait, so you and Hera are siblings. . but you’re married. . .”

“Listen kid, not alot of people existed back then, and gods aren’t like humans. I’m not having a discussion with you about this.”

● “Honestly though Zeus, I feel like Hera is only still married to you so she can be queen of the heavens. You’ve cheated on her so many times, I can’t think of any other reason.”

“… I agree with him.”

“Hera, you’re my wife. You’re supposed to be supporting me.”

● “Hephaestus, can you build something to make this boy more tolerable?”

“Honestly Aphrodite, after the golden net business, I’m not interested on making anything that involves you in any way, shape, or form.”

● “I just came up with what should have been Hercules’s thirteenth labor: dealing with this kid.”

● The boy repeatedly asks the gods and godesses about the myths he knows about them, and they are all mildly offended at the inaccuracies.

● “At the Judgement of Paris, I think you rightfully got the golden apple, Aphrodite.”

“Obviously, kid, I’m the goddess of beauty. But that led to Trojan War, so I’d prefer I lost.”

“It was a question of who was the ‘fairest’. That doesn’t just mean beauty.”

“You’re right Athena, maybe you did have a chance. But, despite being very intelligent, Hermes liked my gift the best. Maybe you’ve got a competitor in the smarts area…”

“Hey, what about me!? I was assembled to compete for the apple too.”

“Hera, there was no way you could win.”

“I really think-”

“No, but I-”

“You shut you-”

“Godesses! This is like Eris all over again, except the kid is the causer of discord.”

I hope that helped!

Sometimes when I’m having a hard day I imagine God sitting next to me, walking next to me, running next to me, holding me, telling me He loves me and that it’s all going to be okay, and I take a deep breath, and know that He’s right. And know that with Him anything and everything is possible. Even the hard day I’m currently wading my way through.

When you’re unsure of your next step, God is with you.
When you’re struggling to make it through the day, God is with you.
When you don’t know if you want to try another day, God is with you.
Even in the trials you don’t want to face, God is with you.
When you are yearning for escape, God is with you.
When you have failed time and time again, God is with you.
When you are clawing, desperately, to find another way, God is with you.
When you’ve messed up so badly you’re not sure if you can forgive yourself, God is with you.
Through all of it, all of the terrible things that happen in this life, God is with you.
He is with you in the hard times. He is with you in the hardest times. He is with you. Always. And that is never going to change.
