god has given

  • My family @ Thanksgiving: I'm thankful for what God has given us. The food, the water, everything that we have in life. I'm very thankful to have a family like you guys.
  • Me @ Thanksgiving: I'm thankful for God creating Park Jimin. His ass is so fine, he quenches my thirst, he is the light to my darkness, he is the definition of beauty, his smile can cure anything, his voice sounds like an angel, he is the sweetest person to ever live, and did I mention he has a 👌🏽 ass?

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you may celebrate). I am so thankful for all of you – for what you are. For what you bring to this world. For how you shine and glow and love. I am so thankful that God has given me an opportunity to share my faith and my words with you all, and I hope that your holiday is one of peace and an overwhelming amount of love. Jesus came to seek and to save, so that we may have life. What a gift we are given! Grace upon grace. Remember to praise the Savior tomorrow and always.

Merry Christmas ❤

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true.

And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Children are 'at risk' in Christian fundamentalist schools in the UK
A number of Christian fundamentalist schools have been downgraded by government inspectors following an investigation by The Independent which revealed children at some schools that follow the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum are taught that LGBT people are inferior and girls must submit to men.

One textbook said of the role of women and girls and society: “God has given both the husband and the wife certain areas of responsibility in the home. The husband is to be the leader of the home, loving his wife even as Christ loved the church … The wife is to obey, respect and submit to the leadership of her husband, serving as a helper to him … She is available all times day or night.”

Then there’s such as this, from a textbook…

To expect the same efforts and results out of everyone is a little crazy and controlling. Your all-out passion won’t look the same as anyone else’s. One of my friends sings in the back row at the church service by reading the lyrics in a whisper—for him, this is red-lining it, and it’s totally the height of his strength. He doesn’t plan to be a rockstar, and to force him would be worse. I can only applaud those who show up and do their best within the raw elements that God has given them. To expect anything else is to ask for a different person, and then I’m making up a fake trophy version of them in my head, which not only crushes their efforts, but doesn’t promote the best of that very real person right in front of me.

Imagine all the mercy God has given you in your life. All the times He has saved you from yourself. All the times we insist on degrading ourselves, yet He honors us instead. When we insist on poisoning our hearts, but He takes away the poison and replaces it with medicine. Now imagine this: All of that mercy He has shown you, and all of the mercy spread throughout the whole world, for all time, is only 1 part of 100. And the rest is saved for the Day of Judgement.
