go vege

Female cows suffer more than any other animal on this planet. We take them from their mothers a day after they are born. At one years old they are impregnated and will continually be pregnant for the rest of their lives until they become too sick and exhausted and are sent to slaughter. Majority of cows are conscious while their throats are cut and die slowly as the blood drains out. During their lives we inject them with several hormones so they produce unnaturally large quantities of milk.  50 % of cows suffer from an acutely painful condition is known as mastitis. 7-8% of cows suffer from the condition known as ‘milk fever’. Between 20-40 per cent of cows are lame. Conditions on farms  are so awful and the process is to intense that cows bodies wear out by the time they are 3 or 4. A natural lifespan of a cow is 20 years.

Could you look into the eyes of a cow and tell it that it’s suffering is necessary for your own enjoyment? Honestly how could you.

slowly going vege.tarian/flexitarian

This has nothing to do with morality, but the way my taste buds have shifted through the years.

I’ve become more picky with my meat but more excited over veggies. I will have it once in a while or if its done right, but most of my diet will be meatless. Which i hope it will help with my diet and weight loss!

Circuses

Watch how animals are treated in circuses here

Bears, elephants, lions, tigers, and other circus animals belong in the wild. They are not meant to be trained and should not be in captivity. They suffer from constant confinement, illness and are beaten and electrocuted in order to learn the meaningless tricks they perform for you.

Trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, and other painful tools of the trade. Circuses easily get away with routine abuse because no government agency monitors training sessions. Animals often have substantial injury after training sessions.

Constant travel means that animals are confined small cages for days in extremely hot and cold weather, often without access to food, water, and veterinary care. Animals are confined to cramped and filthy cages where they eat, drink, sleep, defecate, and urinate. Several circus animals die during journeys because of such awful conditions.

Do not support this kind of abuse. Do go to circuses with animal acts. Abusing animals so they perform for us is wrong. Could you enjoy watching their performances knowing all the pain they’ve endured?
