go easy on the pepsi

@quantumtardis they are probably better in your memory - i think as an adult you can handle all the incredibly painful and lethal-in-real-life “traps” he sets far less than as a child. I basically just watch them because “Fuller Go Easy on the Pepsi”, John William’s wonderfully cheesy score, the “Kevin encounters old social outcasts who are actually nice people and save him in the end” and Catherine O’Hara as Kevin’s mother, and Joe Pesci. 

It’s basically the guiltiest pleasure I have, but I still cry in the end. It’s a good start to get into Christmas films for me, though, bc it’s the right mix of cynical and… kitsch
