Proposal and Kissing (#5 and #7)

You and Oliver were enjoying dinner in a fancy restaurant for Valentine’s Day. You had just ordered your meal when the waiter arrived with two glasses of champagne.

You looked at Oliver in confusion, but he only shrugged.

You thanked the waiter and picked up your glass, Oliver already holding his up to toast. You raised your own glass up and smiled at Oliver. You clinked your glass with Oliver and he smiled.

You took a sip, setting the glass down again, but something caught your eye. You picked up the glass again and looked closely. Upon further inspection you gasped.

“Ollie?” you asked, your voice nearly breathless.

“Something the matter, (Y/N)?” He asked, a teasing undertone in his voice.

You didn’t reply, picking up the knife next to your hand and dipping it into the glass. You easily pulled the ring out of the glass and held it reverently in your hand.

“Care to explain, Ollie?” you asked, wiping the remains of champagne off of it. It had a silver band with a small ring of diamonds around the main stone.

You looked up to meet his gaze and found him kneeling by your chair. Oliver plucked the ring out of your hand and held up to you.

“We’ve been dating for almost three years now and I’ve known since our first year that you were it for me. You made me a better person and helped me through everything that has happened since I got back. You’re the most important person in my life and I love you so much. So (Y/N) (Y/L/N) will you marry me?”

“Yes, Ollie. I love you too,” you said immediately, holding your hand out.

Oliver smiled brightly and slipped it on your hand before standing up and pulling you up with him. Once you were standing he kissed you. You smiled and returned the kiss.

A small cough from somewhere to your right had the two of you pulling away with bright smiles on your faces.
