Glamis Castle
Angus, Scotland by Michael Oglethorpe

Home to the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, Glamis is one of the most famous Scottish castles. The oldest part of the current building dates back to the early 15th century. One of its most infamous occupants was Janet Douglas – whose family were rivals of James V. Following the death of her husband, the king had Janet charged with witchcraft and burnt at the stake. Conveniently, he became the new owner of Glamis Castle.

Our friends at America’s Great Outdoors posted this great photo of the Imperial Sand Dunes on their amazing instagram account.

The Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area is the largest mass of sand dunes in California offering a variety of recreation opportunities. Widely known as Glamis and a favorite of off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts, the dunes also offer fabulous scenery, opportunities for solitude, and home to rare plants and animals.
