Secure

A/N:  Sometimes when you’re having debilitating writer’s block, what you need is someone like @melissas173 whispering in your ear, sending you pictures, asking questions, and cheering you on with your feeble attempts to move past the block.  I think Secure is proof that she has a successful formula.  Thank you, Mel!!!!

As always, shoutout to my betas @little-black-dress-24, @niallandharrymakemestrong, and @emulateharry for reading, discussing and giving feedback.  No woman is an island.  Not with friends like this.

“Uhm, Jeffrey? May I, uhm, speak to you, uhm, in private?” my potential new client pulls at his lip while staring meaningfully at his manager.

I don’t flinch at the question. It’s to be expected. Still I tune my ear to their conversation when the office door doesn’t close all of the way.

“Harry,” the manager starts out reasonably, “We talked about new security since Mike is out on paternity leave.”

“Yes, but, uhm….how do I say this?” the celebrity is hesitant, obviously unwilling to voice the opinion I anticipate.

Me today at Milan fashion week. This year, surprisingly I saw a lot more diversity on the runway. We still have a long way to go, but I was glad to see models of different ethnicities. The best one was Stella Jean! It was like a rainbow of people lol loved it and the collection was just bomb!

whither would you go:

so, i’m sorry, i wasn’t able to get any pics or film the scene/event, but it was a small space and the ushers/workers were right next to me so i didn’t want to risk it. anyway, i’m gonna put a highlight rundown for my sake so i don’t forget, and for anyone else interested. if anyone else was there, feel free to add on whatever, i’m sure there’s things i missed.

AN: IDK I WANTED TO WRITE THIS DON’T JUDGE ME. There’s some Polish in here, I used Google translate so it may not be correct. I left the word meanings at the end. Thanks to @writing-obrien and @celestial-writing for being my pals. Also his hand looks so yummy in this gif. okay bye.

This wasn’t how this was supposed to go. You sat and stared at the little white stick in your hand, the little pink plus sign mocking you. Your eyes swept across the floor to see the other discarded tests around your feet, all with the same result. You were pregnant.

But you have know idea how much the team at Pixar researched about Mexican culture. From my visit to Mexico music was a huge part of the culture and musicians used the guitar alot. Unfortunately Guillermo del Toro's (producer of BOL) movies haven't been doing well. And (director of BOL) Jorge isn't barely known. Also coco is Co directed and written by Adrian Molina. Someone of Latino origin. I'm sure he understands the culture. Using the same holiday isn't really a rip off.

I have no issue with Pixar doing a well researched film on Dia de Los Muertos. My problem is that Disney and Pixer outright passed on A Book of Life and then decided “never mind we will do it” and then couldn’t even be bothered to hire an actual Mexican director. And then decided to have a plot very similar to The Book of Life, a film they, again, rejected because it would not get interest in America.

I am also not going to just forget the fact Disney grossly tried to copyright “Dia de Los Muertos”, they literally tried to copyright a Mexican Holiday so they could make money of it. It would mean actual Mexicans would have to pay Disney to use Dia de los Muertos. This is gross. It would be like a Mexican film company trademarking Christmas.

I am Latina myself. There is a difference between being Latino and being Mexican in this case. Dia de Los Muertos is a Mexican Holiday and they should have hired an actual Mexican director to actually do the project.

Again I am not going to stop people from watching this. Am I glad to see our cultures getting more attention, yeah. But I’m also not going to let Disney get away with what they did just because of whom they are. We need to hold companies accountable.

This isn’t about Pixar not being able to make a film like this. It is about the shady history behind this film and Disney’s treatment of A Book of Life before practically ripping it off.

"I'M NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN!" Ironically, you're actually doing us a favor by permanently removing yourself from our establishment. It means one less shitty customer for us to deal with. So joke's on you. We're glad to see you go.

Stories I’m revamping and will bring back differently:

To Hell and Back(Demon!BTS): Pt 1. / Pt. 2

Bite Me (Vamp!Tae): Pt.1

(Edited: April 27, 2017) (Added Yoongi Story, Old Version of Demon!AU and Vamp!AU)

i think one of the biggest plot twist that could possibly happen at this wedding, besides Luffy actually sticking to the plan, would be if Pudding ends up aiming the gun and shooting at Big Mom instead. although if she does end up shooting Big Mom, i believe it will be because of a separate agenda of her own, not that she’s trying to help Sanji and co.

just think about it for a minute here… she shot Reiju to test out the gun’s abilities, and discovered that the bullets could easily pierce through even the ‘iron bodies’ of the Germa soldiers. then in this latest OP chapter, Bege compares Big Mom’s tough exterior skin to an ‘iron balloon’… perhaps i’m reading too much into this, but i feel like there’s more to the reason as to why she shot Reiju than we’ve been led to believe.

and i can’t quite put my finger on it, but after the revelation of her twisted personality, this scene here of Pudding having such thoughts to herself about Big Mom and Lola also seemed rather out of place…

i guess it seemed to me like the fact that these were thoughts she had to herself might actually give us a better glimpse of her true feelings regarding this whole situation compared to any other scenes with her and other characters present. maybe she desires her own freedom and choice like Lola, who was brave enough to seek it.

i also think it’s fair to assume that the majority of Big Mom’s children and/or subordinates serve Big Mom simply out of fear, not out of love or any similar reason. so, Pudding’s actual loyalty to Big Mom may be pretty questionable as well…

with that said, i’ve been 100% behind evil Pudding from the very start, and would be glad to see it going either way… whether she tries to shoot Sanji at the wedding or ends up double-crossing Big Mom.

“My parents are gross...ly in love” - Bruce Wayne x Reader (x batfam)

Hi ! I see you all the time in my notifications, liking my stuff, so thank you very much for that @xsxaxjxax, and thank you for the compliment as well !! Here’s your request, I don’t know if it’s any good but hope you’ll like it ! (Oh also, #3.being sickeningly affectionate with each other SOMEWHAT A BIT NSFW) :

_______________________________________________________________________

You heard them coming in, but you couldn’t care less. And given the fact that your Bruce was still kissing you, he obviously didn’t give a damn either.

It was too perfect to stop. You rarely had time where things could be like that.

Your husband had a day off, and you called in sick just to stay with him, the occasion too good to pass on. You had a wonderful morning together, staying in bed late, enjoying each other’s presence, talking about anything and everything, making love a lot. When you finally got out of bed, you didn’t bother to dress nicely as usual. You both just put on sweat pants and a hoodie, and, hands in hands, went to get your late breakfast.

Your sons were there, and when they saw the both of you coming in, giggling like idiots because their father was tickling your sides lovingly, they all sighed. Oh, that was one of those days uh ? One of those very rare days where you and Bruce didn’t have to worry about anything because things for once went alright, one of those very rare days where you’d almost turn into conjoined twins because you wouldn’t let go of each other for a seconds. One of those days where you grossed out your children on a regular basis.
