glad i'm putting my time and effort in my videos for you too

Hi!!! I really love your work, esp D:M. Can't believe it took me /this/ long to find it. Anyway, are you taking requests? (I really hope you are *creys*) I'd really like to know the reactions of the Miracle Boyfriend Club to Hinata (and maybe Kags too /shot). Maybe he can demo his ability on them? (lol) Bonus points if the Miracles get jelly *evil cackle* (yup i'll just let myself out) (ps: bless you author-san srsly; more power to you!!! ^^)

“Is anyone else a little freaked out by how easy that was?” Takao ventures.

“It is a little bit of a deus ex machina,” Himuro admits.

“Right,” Kagami says, “It’s like, Kuroko always says he doesn’t give up on a game because you never know what’ll happen, yeah? Like, a meteor might come and strike down the rest of the team before the game is over. I feel like that was a little bit like a meteor.”

Everyone momentarily pauses, impressed Kagami knew what a deus ex machina was.

Takao nods thoughtfully. “I mean, I didn’t even have to dress up like a hooker this time.”

“What?” Kasamatsu asks.

“Nothing,” Takao says. Kasamatsu, he realizes, was the only one here who didn’t see Takao in his hooker outfit and it’s probably for the best. Takao wants Kasamatsu to like him.

The boyfriends (or soon to be boyfriends, Takao thinks, since if Kagami’s not there yet there’s no way he won’t be soon. That video conference in the morning distinctly looked like they’d been sharing a bed) are huddled together marveling quietly at the abrupt appearance of Orange. Hinata Shouyou. Volleyball players in general, really. Like they’d all just needed a second to re-group because of this sudden and fortuitous turn of events. “Man, I can’t believe another one exists.”

“I know!” Himuro says. “And he’s so adorable and tiny. I want to put him in my pocket.”

“Don’t be patronizing,” Kasamatsu chides.

“He could probably still kill you,” Takao feels the need to point out. Although he gets where Himuro is coming from. Hinata is currently standing next to Murasakibara and it’s making a rather hilarious contrast.

“Quiet,” Kasamatsu reprimands sharply, and Takao grimaces. He very much doubts anyone can hear them, but given what they just narrowly escaped from, it is probably best not to press their luck.

“Sorry, sorry,” Takao says. He eyes Kagami, wondering how he’s doing from this sudden reappearance. Takao doesn’t know a whole lot about Orange, but Midorima had told him that he’d been close to Kuroko. As much as he’s glad that someone nice from Teiko actually survived, Takao can’t help feeling (guiltily) a little relieved that it’s not someone Midorima had a special bond with—he’s not sure he could compete with what it sounds like Hinata and Kuroko had. “How are you feeling about this?” he ventures, since Kagami is a friend, sorta.

“Jealous as hell,” Kagami says. And Takao has to blink, because he can’t believe Kagami just flat out said it like that. Then Kagami continues with, “I mean, he can fly.

“He can jump,” Himuro corrects, sounding amused.

“Really high!”

“Dude, you jump really high,” Takao says, still moderately baffled.

“Not like that! Man, I wouldn’t’ve wanted any of their other powers, but flight, come on.”

“Really? That’s the ability you’d want the most?” Himuro asks.

“Of course! Who wouldn’t?”

Takao shakes his head, thinking all things considered, Kuroko is probably better off that Kagami has a very simple point of view. He moves away then, because the volleyball players are just sticking with the volleyball players and the basketball with the basketball folk, and that can’t continue. There’s all these players together, and a convenient basketball court, and clearly some bonding needs to happen and Takao’s going to make sure that it does.

A/N: Dear first anon-friend, my sincerest apologies for how late this is! It is one of the oldest prompts in my inbox. (I am trying to make the effort to respond to the oldest of things). It’s not quite what you asked for, but I figured the JSDF gathering immediately after the Special Diet was the best bet to have the Miracle Boyfriends discuss Hinata, so I hope you enjoyed!! (Actually, I just hope that you see it, I feel super bad for how late this is… you might have given up… I’m so sorry…)

Second anon-friend, you actually submitted this today so it has not been as long of a wait for you and I was super pleased when I saw it had the response of, “hey, that’s the prompt I’m posting today!! Huzzah!! Timely response for at least one person…” Hope you also enjoyed =D

  • O'shea: The Perfect Beat by Afrika Bambatta
  • Q: What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?
  • O'shea: I don't get scared by movies, really. But I'm easily disturbed. When I first saw 'Hills Have Eyes', I couldn't get some images out of my head. Still actually
  • Q: What's your favorite movie starring your dad?
  • O'shea: All about the benjamins. Super Suuuuper underrated
  • Q: What's your favorite Ice Cube song?
  • O'shea: Natural Born Killaz
  • Q: Whe do you think you'll finish screenwriting at USC?
  • O'shea: When I feel like my writing is missing something. I'll know it's time to sharpen back up and get to my cinematic roots.
  • Q: When can we expect music from you?
  • O'shea: Ingratiate I would love to do music. I still snap over instruments to myself. But they might typecast ya mans if I put certain type record. For now I'm focused on my craft as an actor but my older brother and I have started a producing team.
  • Q: Why haven't you used your snap?
  • O'shea: Everytime I'm on any social media I'm just thinking. "Why am I not on instagram?"
  • Q: What is your favorite part in SOC?
  • O'shea: Smashing Bryan Turners office. We've all wanted to break things with a bat before.
  • Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
  • O'shea: Crush my enemies. Not really. But I'm a real Nerd and I am completely unapologetic. When I gotta unwind it's video game time.
  • Q: Why didn’t you release the video for ‘Ain’t No Place’? Was it because of being typecast?
  • O'shea: Yes. With the movie having buzz around the Academy I didn't want any possibility of the song affecting the film. And I didn't want it to look like I'm Ice Cube part 2 out here. lol.
  • Q: Were you nervous about trying out for the movie?
  • O'shea: I was extremely nervous. I had to audition for two years and when you've never been through the process. You don't know what could've made you or boke you during that little time you had auditioning. If I didn't take the role. The world woulda killed me. If I didn't win the role. The world woulda killed me. And I was it was as movie. The world woulda killed me. At the end of the day, nothing was gonna sop me from immortalizing my dad in film. A lot of people ain't want me to get the part. Be he did and that's all I needed.
  • Q: Celeb crush?
  • O'shea: She's taken already. Don't wanna start waves.
  • Q: Did you practice some of the songs with your father or did you learn on your own?
  • O'shea: The performance and studio scenes in SOC are me in my element. What I'm used to doing. So when I was there it's like, wait y'all want me to rap my DAD's songs? I BEEN DOIN THIS.
  • Q: Were any of the scenes hard to do?
  • O'shea: More cowbell #SNLjoke
  • Q: Actors you look up to?
  • O'shea: Denzel and Leo
  • Q: Did you re-record some of Cube's verses or lip sync?
  • O'shea: We recorded the whole album, fam
  • Q: Marvel or DC?
  • O'shea: If you gotta ask. Somethin must be wrong.
  • Q: Do you like your fathers older movies?
  • O'shea: of course. People don't appreciate what a great film Players Club is.
  • Q: Do you ever feel pressure to surpass all that your father has accomplished?
  • O'shea: I've felt it since I was in the 5th grade. (The pressure) it doesn't come from him. All of it comes from me because I don't want to feed into the narrative of talent skips a generation or the whole "was born on 3rd base, and thought he hit a triple." Aspect. I'm so appreciative of my blessings and the only way to ensure my own legacy is to perfect my craft.
  • Q: Worst movie you've ever seen?
  • O'shea: Movie 43
  • Q: Best compliment you've ever heard?
  • O'shea: When I hear that I inspire someone. Being a celebrity is cute and all but it's smoke and mirrors. I understand that this all can be taken away in an instant. FAME is a jellyfish. Yeah it's beautiful but don't you dare get wrapped up in it. So while I do have a platform, the best thing i can do is to encourage or inspire. If not i'm just being selfish.
  • Q: Are you going to see Kobe play his very last game?
  • O'shea: Yeah I'll be the guy crying uncontrollably being escorted by security
  • Q: Would you take a role in a Tyler Perry movie?
  • O'shea: Is it about a single parent overcoming obstacles while still maintaining their strong christian values?
  • Q: What artist would we be surprised you listen to?
  • O'shea: I love Imagine Dragons and F.U.N.
  • Q: How was it growing up as ice cubes son?
  • O'shea: It has it's perks of course. But kind of annoying until you grow up lol. I have to put people through so many trials in order for you to be considered my friend. You don't know people's motives. My friend Tanner was my very first friend EVER. Met in kindergarten. Just said 'hey I'm Shea lets be friends.' After that.....Everyone else know me as ice cubes son. But my friends. Call me Shea. And it's 5 of them. You just grow up thinking different being ice cubes son.
  • Q: Would you want your kids to follow in your footsteps?
  • O'shea: If it was their choice by all means. My parents allowed us to find our own paths. But give everything your best effort because if you don't, then why are you doing it?
  • Q: What advice would you give your younger self?
  • O'shea: learn how to dunk
  • Q: Fave Rappers?
  • O'shea: Dwayne Michael Carter and Sean Anderson

  • O'shea: ESPN Radio
  • Q: Will you answer me on day? :(
  • O'shea: "Maybe one Day..." - Drake
  • Q: Do you like Justin Biebers new album?
  • O'shea: I would be lying if I said Justin Bieber didn't have a few tracks on that thang
  • Q: Do you think education is necessary?
  • O'shea: I definitely feel that education is important. But I also feel the mind will not process information it feels it doesn't need. Find what interests you and educate.
  • Q: Growing up, what was the biggest problem you faced?
  • O'shea: Keepin the snakes out the grass.
  • Q: What type of films would you develop as a screenwriter? Is there certain topics that you're passionate about?
  • O'shea: I'm into smart comedies. And movies that don't give a lot away so you're not in the theater tryna guess things before they happen. You kinda just take the films scene by scene like life. If I could write a modern day Big Lebowski, I would be happy as an accomplished writer.
  • Q: Your thoughts about ride along 2?
  • O'shea: needs more me
  • Q: Any difference between before SOC and after?
  • O'shea: I'm a lot meaner and nicer at the same time

  • Q: Favorite place to relax?
  • O'shea: In a woman's presence. #CasonovaAnswer

  • O'shea: I'd make everyone more understanding. We'd be fine.
  • Q: Was wondering if you'd like both (Harry Potter/Star Wars)?

Amber, I was accepted into a few art schools that I've been dreaming of going to for YEARS and I was just really hit with the fact that, despite actually getting a lot of scholarships, there's no chance that I'll be able to afford any of them. I know art school isn't everything, and I'm already honestly pretty good, but I'm afraid that without art school connections I'll never make it, and it's killing me to know that, no matter how hard I work, I won't be able to afford it

What you’re feeling now is what nearly knocked me out of the game about a year ago. Even after I accepted that I couldn’t afford it, I still had so much leftover pain that I had to work through. I had spent my entire life planning to go to art college and it really felt like my future had been robbed of me. I spiraled for months.

Does this mean I've made it as a Youtuber now?

I finally finished the third part to my Ross winning trials video.
Ross’ GFY/Go Suck A Big Fat One Trials Count

I, naturally, wanted to put links into the description to the first two part. I went onto google and search ‘hat films gfy count’ knowing that they would come up.

When I notice that there are four Ross GFY video and I have only made three.

Upon clicking on this, what do I find?
My video. On another channel. With almost the exact username. Mine is Toboe333

I click the name to investigate and not just this one video. Not just a few other videos. But all of my videos from my channel (with the exception of ten and some others that I have on private) are on this persons channel as well.

Some are the exact same.
Some have a different thumbnail with a slightly altered title but have the same length and are pretty obviously mine.

I said above that some are pretty obviously mine. Well, when you click on them it becomes very obviously they are mine. Whoever or whatever this is didn’t even change the description. It all says the same thing.

Even on videos that have nothing to do with Hat Films. This video below is from when I went to AnimeNext in 2009. I met Kyle Hebert and asked him to do a birthday shout out. (If you can’t read the description it starts with “Hello and Good Day!” You know, from my Hat Films video. Wtf?)

Now I am not without a brain. I know that this is the internet. I know that once you put something on the internet keeping it at yours is pretty much impossible. And I suppose that imitation is suppose to be flattering but HOLY HELL JUST ASK!! I know there is a handful of people on Youtube that have my videos up on their channels because they ASKED for permission. I said yes. I have no problem letting people do that. I wouldn’t have even minded if they had just given me props in the description. But this copying and pasting like this is sad.

I have reported them to Youtube for impersonation. I can only hope that Youtube sees this as impersonation and supports me.

I apologize for such a long post and for it being a personal post instead of a Yogscast or Hat Films post. I just never expected this to happen to me. I tend to keep a low profile on the internet. Or so I thought.

Oliver Hampton: Wannabe Ice Skater

Notes: This fic is not the fic I set out to write this morning as I had a clear idea for it, but I decided to change it up. Inspired by many conversations with my bestie, @htgawm-tv, and an anon prompt about ice skating. (Sorry that I switched the prompt around, nonnie, but Jasmine and I had this very clear idea about Oliver and ice skating.) Enjoy!

“You grew up in Michigan. How do you not know how to ice skate?” Oliver asked incredulously as they lay beside each other in Connor’s childhood bedroom. It didn’t look anything like it did when he was younger. His mother insisted he take what he wanted years ago and trash the rest. Besides a few photographs and posters, it was essentially a guest room now.

“You’re acting like Michigan is Antarctica, Oliver. We do have seasons, you know. Just like Pennsylvania. And not everyone knows how to ice skate. I’m surprised that you do, actually.” The conversation had started about five minutes before then when Oliver mentioned seeing a skating rink not too far from the house. He went on and on about how they should go until Connor mentioned not knowing how, hence the sassy incredulity in Oliver’s tone.
