“‘Excuse me, do you like Messi?’ It’s my best tip. Guys are attracted to girls who have the same interests as them. Guys love sports, especially soccer. If a girl likes Messi, guys want to share a drink with her.” - Jung Nan Hee, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

anonymous asked:

What would you think the Crows would be like in a modern au?

so kaz would be that ride or die kid who would help you bury a body without asking any questions. one word texter. always leavin ppl on read. super ominous, all the time. has a snapchat but he never snaps anyone. still uses a cane, and gets suspended for beating other students with it. still as over-dramatic as ever. probably calls himself dirtyhands bc it gives him street cred. “hey kaz why do you drink black coffee it tastes awful” “suffering is like anything else. live with it long enough and you learn to love the taste”

if this were a cheesy teen movie, inej would be the basic love interest who is a girl but!!! like sPOrT???!!! unheard of??? to the boy population at the school. most boys think she is just one of the guyz but one local boy sees something ~*more*~ and there’s a slowmo scene in the hall where they make eye contact but then she brushes off the boy to go skateboard or something equally better than love (she gets w the guy in the end but thats lame skateboarding is more fun)

jesper is meme-central alright like he just doesn’t stop and kaz keeps threatening him but jesper just mocks it back to him w his hands on his hips. would rather send an unrelated meme than an answer to a serious question. he dresses like macklemore. literally, he buys all his clothes at a thrift store. and he’d pop tags. kids can’t really gamble in the modern world, and there’s not a lot of epic gun showdowns, so he’s gotta get his adrenaline from somewhere. wylan is proud of him for getting through one shopping trip without stealing anything, but as soon as they’re outside, jesper yells yeet! and throws wylan a bright blue fedora he’d shoved in his backpack.

wylan is already a pretty modern kid? rich white kid who plays the flute?? runs away from his parents. he probably let anyone copy off his homework at first but after getting in with kaz, some of dirtyhand’s cruelty rubbed off on him and sure he’ll let you copy off him still, but what is he going to get in return? his style of humor is gay jokes. anything he doesn’t want to do? homophobic. someone blocking his way? “move, i’m gay.” sometimes does prank videos but only on kuwei.

nina. food blogger. instagram famous. probably does youtube makeup tutorials, and “what i ate today” recipe videos. fights for a ton of different causes and uses her platforms to bring attention to gofundmes and campaigns to donate to. always super busy hanging out with a hundred different people. sometimes she takes off days for herself and gives herself a lil spa day. and somedays she just stays home to watch romance movies and try creative popcorn combinations. (popcorn and pickles or popcorn topped w syrup?? posts a poll on twitter. pickles win but she strongly disagrees)

matthias pretends to hate his name in nina’s phone (brooding yellow 🌷) but he really loves it. pretends to hate nina’s cheesy romance movies but he really loves it. just really loves nina. he’s probably big into sports, any sport, all sport, mostly hockey. has a really quiet social media scene; probably just posts videos of his husky talking. nina is always trying to explain memes to him and he only starts understanding how to use it after it’s died. probably wears socks and nike slides.

kuwei is a certified nerd™. will stay up until 3am watching bad memes, illuminati theories, and bill nye. actually got along rly well with wylan when they were kids. only has a ginger ale at raging parties bc one time kaz thought it would be funny to get kuwei sloppy drunk and he’s never drunk alcohol or trusted kaz since (kaz filmed him trying to make out with jesper and sent it to wylan and so began the rivalry) tries a lil too hard to be in with the dregs. he doesn’t wait for anyone’s permission to do anything. always runs out of data on his phone. has at least 5k photos on his phone, at all times. dabs unironically

We can get so caught up in our passions that we forget to sometimes have a seat & take the time to simply think about things. About how far we’ve come, where we are now & where we want to be heading. The power of thought has got to be one of the strongest powers out there because what we constantly think about is reflected in our behaviour & attitude. So, if I can train my body and therefore make it stronger, then I’ve got no excuse not to train my thoughts & focus on the ones which I want to be reflected through my actions. The action follows the thought……..so think positively & act accordingly. Because actions are contagious & you never know who’s watching - & who you just might inspire along the way. I love the message in this song that celebrates all types of girls; whether it’s the girls who love to dress up and going out every night, the girls who love to stay at home with a book, the girls who love competing in sports or the girls that express themselves within their art, that all of it is amazing and it doesn’t tear other types of girls down, but builds these type of girls up that society tends to bring down. I definitely want to be like “Most Girls”.

…ik i never talk about it but i actually have two ocs w pretty clear stories…. i keep dreaming abt publishing the comic i thot out for them but… im so busy…

Shoutout to the tall girls.

Shoutout to the girls who knows that ordering a dress online might mean getting a semi-long shirt in the mail.

Shoutout to the tall girls who constantly has to hear “Wow! You’re so tall! Do you play volleyball/basketball/softball/soccer/tennis/every-sport-under-the-sun?”

Shoutout to the girls who love heels but wear flats because if one more person says “But you don’t need heels!” that person’s gonna get a heel up their ass.

Shoutout to the girls who have had guys say “I really like you, but you’re really tall, it would look weird”.

Shoutout to you, tall girls. Be tall and proud, rock that dress/shirt, and if anyone says you can’t date someone because of height differences, kick their short asses with your awesome heels.

Tbh I still want to see more canon content out there with characters who have more feminine or more masculine hobbies than what their gender expectation would be – and not only for characters presented as gay b/c stereotypes only widen the division.

I wanna see guys who go get massages and spa days, who have careers as counsellors and preschool teachers. and I want girls who chop wood and love playing sports and have careers as mechanics and coaches.

Idk man!! I know it’s a lot to ask for with Straight Culture but gender is a performance and I’d love to see that performance get shaken up by the media more often.

Date a girl who loves information and data. Date a girl who knows the length of every papacy since the first century. Date a girl who memorizes the scientific names of as many obscure beetles as she can. Date a girl who gets excited whenever new census data is released. Date a girl who loves the concept of sports but has never played them nor does she want to.

Pros/Cons of Dating your Sim tag!

I was Tagged by: @charmedsims  For Manuel “Manny” Holmes ( I’m going to assume  young Manny, as old Manny is um…dead lol) Thanks, love!

Pros in dating Manny:

1. He’s funny. Manny has a great sense of humor and is “comedian” funny. A girl will spend most of her time laughing hysterically on a date with him.

2. He’s adventurous. Anyone dating Manny can expect to go on exciting unusual dates, like skydiving together, rock-climbing, kayaking and taking out of the way road trips.

3. He loves to party! If a girl is into a party/club scene, then Manny is the perfect boyfriend. Manny loves nightlife and is very deep into the club scene.

4. He’s a good lover. He’s young, but he’s still a Holmes! The men in his family pride themselves on being attentive, skilled lovers. Manny enjoys sex and he likes to make sure his partner is enjoying herself too.

5. He is a good listener and enjoys long conversations with his girlfriend. Manny is the boyfriend a girl can vent too and who will actually listen, and he never answers texts with one word answers, lol.

Cons in dating Manny: He’s a HUGE flirt which can cause a girl to feel insecure, he’s a daredevil who loves extreme sports and that can be stressful for any girl who cares about him, he’s not unfaithful but he doesn’t stay in relationships for a long time because he loses interest quickly.

I tag: @furiouslydecaffinated  for Yulian,  @thefoxandhersimblr  for Levi, @shysimblr for Rhys ( I want to know more about him! lol), @nervous—subject for Nia, @tinwhistletoo for Angelo, @oakglow for Storm, @tangandzing for Tristan @numinousxsims for Milo @healssims  for Murphy, @stillgotme for Aiden,  @penelope-and-wonders for Fern @neon-llama  for Fox!  And whoever else wants to do this tag, it’s so fun!

as a 20 year old who grew up watching shows like boy meets world, sister, sister, lizzie mcguire, that’s so raven, and more, let me just say that disney channel today isn’t as bad as we think it is. yes, there was a period about three years ago where, let’s be honest, the shows sucked. however, in the past year or so i noticed a huge difference in the newer disney channel shows while i was watching tv with the kids i nanny for. let me explain:

good luck charlie: the first show on disney to introduce a lesbian couple who were the parents of the little girl’s friend.

KC undercover: this show stars zendaya who kicks major ass and shows little girls that they can be whatever they want, including strong and fierce.

liv and maddie: FIRST OFF, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT DOVE CAMERON, SHE IS PRECIOUS AND NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS AND PROMOTES SELF LOVE AND IS AN ACTUAL BALL OF SUNSHINE AND IS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT. in one of the episodes of this show, the characters stand up to a group of boys who rate them based on their physical appearances on a scale of one to ten. in another episode staring kristen bell, they stand up against reporters who only ask them questions based on their femininity rather than asking about the role of the amazing characters they play like they do with liv’s male costar. and then there’s maddie who stands up for what she believes in and never lets a male make her feel like she’s anything less just because she’s a girl who loves sports.

and then we have girl meets world: the sequel of boy meets world. what can i say, it’s a great show and the main characters learn from riley’s dad, cory matthews. it’s a normal show (similar to lizzie mcguire in a way that it’s based on normal kids who are just trying to get through the awkward phases of middle school) that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

i’m not sure what shows people are calling dumb from disney channel but maybe check these ones out for some good stuff. i know we all miss the old disney but these particular shows aren’t so bad.
