I feel like this would’ve looked a lot better as a dress (the undershirt and lapels are too distracting imo) but the way the flowers and lighting just halo around her head and sway w her every movement? Ugh breathtaking
Fuji Rock 17 Pyjama Girl
look, she matches the mountains !
MET15 TULLE AND FIBREGLASS
The dress/train itself is so dreamy but there’s something that feels disjointed about where it meets the bodice? Especially the way the fabric sags and wrinkles? idk i’m a perfectionist bc tbh its all in all 100% (PS notice her black shoes peeking through!) (also i think she’s wearing white pants underneath lolz)
Perfect Places MV 17 - Sci-Fi Ophelia
Tulle skirt on a wetsuit? Drink in hand? Conceptually amazing, actually kinda weird-looking esp bc its got a flow-hemline which i think is tew much.
Liability on SNL17 - Sad Attic Moth Bride
Again, i think this would’ve been better in a dress. The details of the pantsuit detract from the drama of the hat. Though, sitting down, this looks stunning.
PURE HEROINE TOUR TENNIS COURT TV PERFORMANCE (c. ‘13-14)
literally the only reason this is here is bc it wouldnt fit into the top ten list.
Greetings! I have come from space to deliver you this URGENT MESSAGE. If you do not respond to it, nothing will happen, but it is of such a CRUCIAL and PRIMARY importance that you will probably feel like you have to answer it anyway. Here is the question… *drumrolls* : Who is gayer, Pearl or Garnet ?
hello!! sorry it took me approximately 200 years to get around to replying to this!
my first instinct is to say Pearl, but Garnet is literally made up of two tiny lesbians???
let’s compile all the gevidence (gay evidence), shall we? we’ll start with garnet (split into ruby and sapphire).
there was that time that ruby literally caught on fire because she looked at sapphy and was like “wow she’s smokin’ hot”
and there was that other time that sapphire was about to break the laws of physics get to home base in order to be with ruby again during that softball game
and i mean, cotton candy garnet speaks for herself. look at all the gayness that makes up her being!! beautiful.
now let’s look at pearl.
she loved rose a lot, clearly.
in the one dream she ever had while sleeping for the first time, she dreamt about rose
and need i even bring up her super emo classic hit, It’s Over Isn’t It?
THAT’S PRETTY GAY!!!
but it gets gayer! look at the way she looks at Mystery Girl
look at the fear and panic in her eyes bc she doesn’t know how to act around pretty girls. i feel that fear and panic every day when a cute girl looks my way.
SAME, PEARL. SAME.
idk you guys… im leaning towards pearl, but what do you think?
Hi! Great blog! I was wondering if you had checked out the lyrics to the other Bob Seger song that Dean quoted to Sam when he said "We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?". It's from the song We've Got Tonight and the lyrics are pretty interesting. I think its Dean who hasn't been hearing a word that Bob has been singing about.
I love Bob Seger, everyone should check out his music.
Dean was referring specifically to the song that was playing, Night Moves, when he asked Sam “Have you not heard a single word Bob’s been singing about?” but the great thing about Robbie Thompson is that there are often layers to his writing. Dean’s recent mention of We’ve Got Tonight is the other layer to this comment so let’s compare the two songs.
We weren’t in love, oh no, far from it We weren’t searchin’ for some pie in the sky summit We were just young and restless and bored Livin’ by the sword
And we’d steal away every chance we could To the backroom, to the alley or the trusty woods I used her, she used me But neither one cared We were gettin’ our share Workin’ on our night moves
Tryin’ to lose the awkward teenage blues Workin’ on our night moves
-Night Moves from the album by the same name
These lyrics are the life Dean tells himself he wants. He says he’s not looking for anything more, that he’s happy just rolling through town and having mutually satisfying hook-ups. We know this isn’t true,
in 9.08 and 10.16 he talked about not being satisfied with that and he did try to have relationships with Cassie and Lisa. Unfortunately he also thinks that Cassie and Lisa are examples of why he shouldn’t want something more, because the relationships didn’t work and left him batting zero in domestic life. Night Moves is who Dean wants to be, someone who has a great time enjoying casual sex and will still be singing happy songs about it years later. Listening to the song Night Moves by itself may give the impression that Bob Seger is fully satisfied by casual encounters but listening to the other song mentioned in this scene, We’ve Got Tonight, proves that Bob wants something more.
I know it’s late, I know you’re weary I know your plans don’t include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Longing for shelter from all that we see Why should we worry, no one will care girl Look at the stars so far away We’ve got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We’ve got tonight babe Why don’ you stay?
Deep in my soul, I’ve been so lonely All of my hopes, fading away I’ve longed for love, like everyone else does I know I’ll keep searching, even after today So there it is girl, I’ve said it all now And here we are babe, what do you say? We’ve got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We’ve got tonight babe Why don’t you stay? -We’ve Got Tonight from the album Stranger in Town
This song is who Dean really is. He likes sex, he can enjoy casual hook-ups, but he does long for something more. Sam’s entire speech about having a relationship with a fellow hunter was basically him telling Dean “I know you’ve been lonely, I know you’ve longed for love and your hope has faded away, but keep searching.” Sam was telling Dean that they should be listening to what Bob sings about but they needed to take out the Night Moves album and put in Stranger in Town.
Lyrics by LEE JONG HYUN Music by LEE JONG HYUN , Heaven Light Arranged by Heaven Light
I’ll take you to the monster If you don’t stay with me any more I’ll take you to the monster All right, don’t be afraid of the pain
I’ll take you to the monster If you speak ill of me, oh oh oh I’ll take you to the monster All right, don’t be afraid of the pain
* Came into my life Know, you make me such a fool Get out, get out, tonight Don’t let me irritated Came into my life Twist it as you like to do Never, never, tonight I’m gonna make you be hurt You you you, you’re so bad girl Look at me, look at me, girl
I’ll take you to the rock star He’s waiting for you, girl, oh there I’ll take you to the rock star Don’t cry, girl, before you get hurt
I’ll take you to the rock star Don’t cry, ‘til I could get you hurt
You you you, you’re so bad girl Look at me, it’s over
