Ninja during the era of 16th century Japan who was known as ‘Flying Katō’ because he was also a sorcerer, able to perform countless feats of magic such as swallowing a bull, growing flowers almost instantly and flying through the air.
He would be hired by a noble named Uesugi Kenshin to retrieve either a sword or a naginata from a castle owned by one of Kenshin’s retainers, but this was a trap set to kill him. The ninja escaped with the sword and a servant girl, through varying different means, including distracting the guards with several dancing dolls, or using a fake dummy to sneak in.
He returned the sword to Kenshin but eventually left the man’s service for that of his rival, Takeda Shingen. Suspicious of his actions, Shingen ordered his execution and he was decapitated.
