“Caaaalum, come on, we can’t,” I whined and tried scooting away from him, but his arms were firmly around me.
“Who says?” he groaned as his lips danced around my bra strap before sliding it off of my shoulder.
“Baby, we’re going to be late. We need to get ready,” I laughed, trapped between his arms and chest.
“Please, gorgeous, you know you want to,” he cooed, hand sliding down my stomach. I moaned and tossed my head to the side, but when I caught sight of the time on the clock, I urgently jumped to my feet.
Calum scoffed and fell back dejectedly. “If you hadn’t kept us up so late last night, we wouldn’t be waking up an hour before we need to leave,” I reminded him.
“It’s not my fault you look like that,” he retorted, eyeing me up and down.
“The quicker we leave, the sooner we can come home,” I shouted as I walked into the bathroom, knowing that would force him to get up.
As I grabbed my toothbrush, he flew out of bed and ran past me into the shower. “That better mean I have a reason to come home,” he teased over the sound of the water.
Not even 15 minutes had passed and Calum was entirely ready for the team brunch we had been set to go to for a month. He sat on the edge of the bed, obnoxiously tapping his foot.
“Babe, didn’t you say you we were rushing?” he asked.
“I just need to put a dress on and I’m done,” I promised, rising from my make-up chair and tossing my robe to the floor.
“Jesus, what are you doing to me?” he groaned, eyes glued to me as I walked to the closet in my underwear.
“Sorry,” I giggled pityingly. I stepped into the soft, pastel dress and pulled it up, sticking my arms through the shoulder straps, but unable to zip the back completely. “Just zip for me and we can go,” I said to him.
He stood behind me and pulled me against him, whispering in my ear as he very slowly inched the zipper upwards. “You know the image I’m going to have of you all day is from last night. When you were screaming my name, barely breathing, back arching, legs shaking. You remember?”
“You can remind me later,” I said, patting his shoulder, entirely unaffected by his words. Calum hissed and begrudgingly followed me out of the door.
He drove the entire way with one hand on the wheel and the other tenderly rubbing the exposed part of my thigh. I had to admit, I loved the touch of his hands. At the restaurant, he was just as attached to me. I felt his hands everywhere: shoulders, waist, thighs, and hips. When I went to take a sip of my drink he turned my face to his and kissed me intensely.
“Mate, food’s coming. No need to eat Y/N at the table,” one of his friends teased.
“Nah, I’ll save her for tonight,” he shot back with a wink. My face burned with embarrassment as our tablemates shook with laughter. Calum draped an arm around me and kiss the side of my head. I recomposed myself and glared at him.
“I hate you,” I muttered, too low for anyone to hear.
“That’s not what you were saying last night,” he sang, a devilish twinge in his voice. I shushed him and looked around to make sure no one had heard that.
“Please, just stop,” I pouted.
“Didn’t say that either,” he quipped playfully, taking a sip of his drink. I wanted to be mad; in fact, I should have been mad. But those pretty blue eyes just made it impossible. I grimaced and just hoped he would run out of ideas soon. However, through the course of the meal, his hands wandered and the entire table noticed every time I shifted uncomfortably.
“Y/N, I think Calum is trying to tell you he’s missed you,” one of the player’s girlfriends said with an empathetic laugh.
I blushed once again, wriggling slightly as I felt a squeeze on my butt. “Yeah, and embarrassing me in the process,” I sighed.
“Why is it embarrassing that I let everyone know I think you’re absolutely stunning and I can’t keep my hands off you?” Calum questioned proudly, looking directly at me with honesty in his eyes. This time, everyone around us aww-ed and I could do nothing but look down and smile.
“I love you,” he added, appearing to lean in to kiss my forehead, but secretly whispering something only I could hear. “Take me home, and I’ll show you just how much,” he said, a hand concealed beneath the table sliding in between my legs. I tossed my napkin onto the table and rose suddenly.
“Well, it’s been nice to see you all,” I started, saying goodbye to everyone hurriedly and leaving with Calum close behind me.
“I appreciate the eagerness,” he joked as we got into the car.
“You are horrible and awful and you better spend the rest of the day reminding me why I put up with you.”
Calum laughed heartily before whipping out of the parking lot and speeding onto the street. “Yes, ma’am.”
