“I am here and I am looking at her. And she is so beautiful. I can see it. This one moment where you know you’re not a sad story. You are alive. And as you stand up and see the lights on the buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And you are listening to that song on that drive with the people you love most in this world. And in this moment, I swear, we are infinite.”
-Perks Of Being A Wallflower

“I don’t know if you’ve ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I want it when I get like this. That’s why I’m trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.”
Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being A Wallflower

Things only international fans would understand…

  1. You get a notification that a celebrity you follow started a live video on Instagram…then realize it ended 10 hours ago because it happened while you were sleeping.
  2. But when you know they are doing one ahead of time, you don’t mind waking up at or staying up until 3 am in the morning.
  3. Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook… you use them mainly as the source of information for your fandom.
  4. “OMG this movie is coming out this summer!” And then you instantly calculate the amount of months you have to wait for it to be uploaded. Subbed.
  5. You are an expert of all the websites that upload different videos/movies. Like, which one has the best quality, or which one gets uploaded first.
  6. “I love this song but I don’t know what they are saying~~!”
  7. You have an album dedicated to screenshots of your bias, even though you don’t really go back and look at them that much.
  8. You start learning the language for your fandom. Some people dedicate themselves into learning, and some people just remember it from watching too many videos of them.
  9. It’s such a struggle finding someone that lives in your area who has the same fandom as you do…. Such. A. Struggle.
  10. You’re so hopeful that you will make it to their concerts and lives one day. And the reality hits you….“It’s so far away.”
But you will make it 😉 someday.

We are all in this together.
