Bill started skiing in the Boy Scouts in 1946. He is now 81 and is still an active skier.

“Canadian Desert”
Technically, this isn’t a desert, though there are deserts of snow. Antarctica is one example.
This is Lake Ontario, which is a huge body of fresh water that makes the summers very humid, but in the winter, when the lake gets sealed with ice, and the temperature drops well below freezing, the climate becomes very dry because all the water is frozen in solid form, not liquid.
