“Niall, can you take Emma for a moment?” You said, gently rubbing her back.
“Sure, love,” Niall replied, holding out his arms. He took Emma from you, holding her close. Her small fingers reached up, and Niall put his hand in front of her. She wrapped her fingers around one of his, gripping it tightly and looking up at him. “You’ve got a strong grip on you, little love.”
“Hey, Niall, can I hold her, mate?” Harry inquired.
“Sure, Harry,” Niall said, trying to remove his finger from her grasp. Emma furrowed her brow, scrunching up her face like she did before she was about to cry. “Okay, okay, you can keep the finger, little love.”
He handed her over to Harry, letting her keep hold of his finger until she decided to try and grab Harry’s. He smiled down at her, his spare hand tickling her tummy. After a bit, she started to fuss, and he handed her back to Niall.
“I think she’s getting tired, mate,” Harry said, smiling at her. Niall took her in his arms again, holding her so that her head leaned against his chest. She took his shirt in her hands, holding it tightly. Niall gently rubbed her back, smiling down at the daughter that he had with you. You came back over a few moments later, looking down at your daughter.
“Looks like she thinks you’re a comfortable pillow, Niall,” You laughed, reaching out and gently touching her head.
“Looks like it’s time to head home and put her in bed, hm?” Niall inquired.
“I would say so,” You replied, gathering up her bag. The two of you said goodnight to Harry, before heading out to your car. Niall gently removed Emma’s hands from his shirt, and buckled her into her car seat. The three of you drove home, and when you arrived, Niall gently took your baby upstairs, carefully changing her into her pajamas, and putting her in her crib.
“She’s amazing, isn’t she?” You whispered, coming up next to him. Niall wrapped an arm around your waist, holding you close to him.
“She really is,” He replied, pressing a kiss to your cheek. “I love you, (Y/N).”
“I love you too, Niall,” You murmured, leaning your head against his shoulder. “Let’s get some sleep?”
“Okay,” Niall quietly said. The two of went to your room, quickly changed into your pajamas, collapsing in bed, and fell asleep, after switching on the baby monitor.
Brie sighed as she
heard her phone text message go off. She knew it would be Niall and she knew he
would be bailing on her. Again. She looked over at the small table she had
taken the time to set just right and felt tears spring to her eyes as she
glanced down at her phone.
Sorry, love. Stayin’
late at the studio again. I know you had planned an amazing dinner for us
tonight. Raincheck? xo
She brushed away the
tears as she started to respond.
Ok. See you later.
No x’s and o’s. No
kiss emoji. She was tired of being stood up. She felt like she didn’t even have
a boyfriend anymore. And shewas damn sick of it. She tossed her
phone onto the couch just as it started buzzing. Niall.
“What, Ni.” She asked
“Babe, you okay?” He
“I’m fine, what makes
you think I’m not?” The coolness of her tone was probably a clue.
“Umm…well, your text
seemed like you were pissed,” he sounded unsure as he spoke.
Niall’s birthday was a
week away and finding the perfect gift for someone who seemingly had everything
was proving to be very difficult. Dinner was impossible. Too many paps always
assuming we were dating. And finding a sporting event that he hasn’t been to
just couldn’t be done.
I sighed as I tossed
my phone on the bed. This is ridiculous, I muttered to myself. I had
looked in to every possible birthday gift and nothing seemed right.
Niall’s head poked
around the bedroom door. “What’s up, Kate?”
“Nothing, just having
a moment,” I smiled as I looked over at my best friend. I was still in
awe that he was even in my life. The night we had met in the pub last year had
been a fluke. My friend had convinced me to come out for a few drinks and
when we walked in, he had been sitting in the corner with a bunch of his
friends, all riled up over the football match that had dominated the tv’s in
the pub. I knew who he was. Everyone knew who he was but I didn’t think
anything of it. He was way out of my league and and his entire corner was
littered with women vying for his attention.
A few drinks and many
laughs with an old friend in, the bartender placed a drink in front of me that
I hadn’t ordered. I raised an eyebrow in question and glanced towards the
“From the gentleman
over there,” the bartender drew my gaze towards the corner of the bar, where
Niall met it and raised his glass with a smile.
rules: you must answer the questions till the end and then tag another 10 niall blogs to do the same! you can use videos/links/gifs/photos to answer the questions.
I’m new to Tumblr and don’t know many people here, so I’m just going to tag @flavorednarry, but I would like to know more people so I encourage anyone who sees this to do it - and tag me so I can see all of your Niall favourites!
Absolute Most Favourite Picture: I’ve changed this at least five times since I started writing this post, so I think it’s fair to say I don’t have a single favourite photo… but this one is definitely up there. I’m super-excited for more Niall by Conor McDonnell. (I would also be happy for more Niall & Ellie Goulding… 😜).
Favourite Look: Niall in Paul Smith. Always 10/10.
Favourite Hair: WWA South America, hands down.
Favourite Tweet: I love every single time a notification pops up on my phone from Niall, tweeting to his fans as if we’re his friends. But if I had to choose one… I’d choose two! One tweet from him - because look at how excited he was for Justin Rose! Too excited to put on a shirt, apparently! And one tweet about him - I still giggle every time I remember that Niall liked that tweet about himself in Vegas.
Favourite Instagram Post:
Favourite Snapchat: The one from January of him in bed shirtless, possibly naked, singing to Fleetwood. I just can’t work out how to embed it. So here are three other favourite shirtless snaps instead. (And what a mighty good man Niall Horan is for giving us multiple shirtless shots to choose from!)
Favourite Performance: The Tonight Show has been my favourite solo performance to date - that arrangement with the additional instrumentation was so, so good.
Favourite Music Video: does this one count? Just a tease of what solo Niall can deliver…
Favourite Bromance: Narry, obviously.
I’m also quite attached to Niall’s friendship with David Soutar, because he is a total babe.
Favourite Sport Niall does: Football. I hope he is able to do Soccer Aid again this year, that was such a great week. I AM thankful for the prolific number of golf photos, even though I have no personal interest in golf.
NOW ANSWER Your Name: Sal Your age: a little bit older than Louis T, forever 21 in my heart. Where you live:🇦🇺🐨✌️
Have you ever seen Niall live in concert or met him or any special moments: I’ve barely even been on the same continent as him, let alone seen/met him. He did come to Bali while I was living there… but I was working on another island most of that week. Hopefully I’ll get to see him in Australia when he tours or does promo here, or casually run into him at Glastonbury this year - whichever comes first.
What’s your favourite line/lyrics that Niall wrote: Wanna wake up with you and say baby let’s do it all over again.
What’s a song that reminds you of Niall: Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen
How long have you been a Niall stan: I am very late to the game - I was oblivious to 1D until mid-2015. Harry drew me in, but I fell for Niall hard in 2016, and he is the reason I’m still here.
What were you doing when you first heard ‘This Town’ and how did you react: I was in an airport lounge hoping that my flight would be delayed so I could stream the first play on Ryan Seacrest. Then I had to run to the gate to make my flight - but I had the biggest smile on my face as I sprinted through the airport because I was just so happy that solo Niall was really happening.
What are your favourite tags you use for Niall: cute and Irish
Who is your favourite Niall blog: I’m new to Tumblr, but I’ve been following paulsmith.niall for longer than anyone on Instagram, and it is always 100% quality.
What would you want to say to Niall, would you ever get the chance to speak with him:
I’d probably ask him about what he did while he was in Bali and encourage him to go back when it’s not the wet season to see everything he missed the first time and invite myself to join him on that trip to show him all of my favourite places, and then I would have a whole week to say everything I’ve ever wanted to say to him, and a whole lifetime after that, because obviously we would become best friends and/or lovers 😜.
I could feel Niall’s
stare burning a hole in the back of my head from across the yard but I refused
to turn around and acknowledge it. He could be as annoyed as he liked, it
wasn’t going to stop me from talking to my best friend. This had been going on
for months now and I was over it. When Ethan moved back to town six
months ago after graduating college, I had been overjoyed. Niall had not. All
Niall knew of us was that we had known each other since we were in diapers and
we had grown up as the best of friends. The only time we had ever spent apart
was when Ethan had gone to an out-of-state college and this unnerved him. No
matter how many times I told him nothing had ever happened between us,
he found it difficult to believe.
I couldn’t make him
believe me but it was the truth. I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair,
only half listening to Ethan’s story about the two sorority sisters that he’d
woken up to in his bed on graduation weekend. Niall’s constant anxiety about
Ethan and I was wearing on our relationship - which already carried the unique
struggles of Niall’s fame - and I was at a total loss as to how to even begin
Niall and I met two
years ago while Ethan was away at school. I was convinced by a group of friends
who had scored front row seats to go with them to a One Direction concert.
While I had heard their music and didn’t dislike it, it wasn’t anything
that I actively listened to. I didn’t own any of their albums, I didn’t down
load any of their music. I could barely tell them apart from each other if I
was being totally honest. But it sounded fun, so I went. Niall had caught my
eye as soon as they stepped onstage - his blonde hair and bright blue eyes just
drew me in. And when he sang, I melted. During the concert I felt his eyes on
me more than once but I had brushed it off as my imagination, or my ego,
getting the better of me. He was in a stadium full of tens of thousands of
fans. Of course he would make the effort to make some eye contact.
