Even if at times you feel alone, you should know that you are loved too and recognize that God created you out of love, therefore you are never alone. His love for you is unconditional. he doesn’t love you if–, he loves you always. Remind yourself of that when feelings of loneliness and despair come over you. Remember, those are just feelings. They are not real, but God’s love is so real that he created you to prove it.

Christians are often hurt when atheists attack their beliefs, it seems hateful. Being told your god doesn’t exist, being told you’re not going to heaven, being told you’re not part of anybody’s perfect plan, these things hurt.

You must try and remember, atheists hate the belief, not the believer. Atheists don’t hate you, they only hate your sick, awful, abhorrent, abusive beliefs. They hate the pain and hurt caused because of your beliefs. They hate seeing your belief keeping you trapped in a state of constant delusion. Really, atheists LOVE you, we want to help you, but we will not accept your belief.

Does that help? Do you feel loved now?

No? Well keep this in mind next time you tell a gay person “I don’t hate you, just your sin.”

challenging myself this upcoming semester(i'm comin for ya spring 2014)

As the new semester begins..I, like most people, make lists or goals if you will. Mine is as follows:

  1. Let go and move on (he’s not worth your tears anymore)
  2. Be more disciplined/rebuke laziness (actually wake up to alarm clock)
  3. Be patient with others and yourself (there’s this thing called grace that I need to practice more)
  4. Pray more for others (this world needs it)
  5. Have hope (its what keeps me going)
  6. Break addictions (you don’t have to go there anymore)

..Jesus, this is a heavy list. And I cannot do a single one of these without the power and help of your Holy Spirit. So Jesus would you intercede? Give me courage to let go, give me drive to be more disciplined, slow me down to be more patient, break my heart for this broken world in need of prayer, give me strength to say no to my addictions, give me faith to have hope
