Ladies and gentlemen, some of the 100000 reasons why I will love the Lord of the Rings movies and the cast till the end of times.

It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.

why isn’t this talked about...?

In the Extended Edition (aka the Only Edition) of the Two Towers, Aragorn calms down an “un-tame-able”  horse by speaking to him gently. The film calls this “the magic of elves:” a special elven talent for understanding and befriending animals that Aragorn picked up during his childhood in Rivendell.

Film-Aragorn can basically communicate with/understand animals, is compassionate to animals (advising Rohan to let his lil horse go free because it’s “seen enough of war”),  and becomes best friends with a horse who later helps save him when he’s in need.

So…basically…in the film’s canon (which is different from the book’s, this isn’t book-time) … it’s absolutely confirmed that Aragorn has Disney-princess-level animal friendship powers. Aragorn is a Disney princess

That is so adorable??? It is so pure?? But there is no fanart or anything related to this???? Why doesn’t anyone talk about this???????

Everyone here remembers Eomer, right?  Strong warrior, loving brother, and true friend to his allies.  A lil bit stubborn and maybe a bit hot-tempered *cough cough gimli cough cough* but an all around great guy.

But what I really want you to think about for a bit is Eomer the fanboy, who is so enamored with Aragorn that he won’t shut up about them getting to hang out.  When they first meet, he’s so impressed that he gives Aragorn a cool nickname and everything

And there they promise to “draw swords together”, something both of them are really pretty hype about

On the way to Helms Deep he makes sure he gets to ride next to Aragorn, thus creating the Friendship Formation

In Helms Deep they finally get to battle together, with cool matching sword yells!!

But does it end there, you ask?  Is Eomer satisfied with that exciting bro moment?  NO WAY.  He still gets to team up with Aragorn at the battle of Pelennor fields, where they have a chill sword-leaning break before heading out to kick more ass
