I wasn’t an actress back then. This casting director flew from England to Israel and she was looking for the Bond girl. When my agent told me about that I was like “No way I’m gonna audition. I’m studying law and international relationship. I’m way too serious and smart for being an actress.” I had a call-back and another call-back and another and throughout this process I realized that GOD-DAMN, like acting is so much more fun than going to law school.
lit ladies ❀ inej ghafa; what about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? we learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns. we learn to wring magic from the ordinary. that was how you survived when you weren’t chosen, when there was no royal blood in your veins. when the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.
I had a joy playing opposite to Gal and getting a chance to fall in love with her. Patty gave me an objective which was to flirt, make her laugh. Tumble, breathe heavily like you’re doing something physical. And I said that sounds like a plan. And, you know, Gal’s my pal. So we just goofed around and had a good time. We’re pals!
“I think in the world today we’ve had plenty enough
of male-driven everything and it’s finally time to see how wonderful the
world can be with beautiful, strong intelligent women kicking some
major ass.” - Chris Pine on Wonder Woman (2017)

I really liked to perform. My mother always tells this story: I was five. They had a party, and they’d put me to bed. I heard everyone on the rooftop, and I went upstairs. No one paid any attention to me, so I took a hose and sprayed everyone. Very elegant, right? ‘It’s me! Look at me!’ I loved the attention.
“Have you ever really held the hand of someone you love? Not just in passing, a loose link between you - but truly clasped, with the pulses of your wrists beating together and your fingers mapping the knuckles and nails like a cartographer learning a country by heart?” ––Jodi Picoult
For me, being an actress, my responsibility is not to pay attention to all the noise around me and to pay attention to the script and the director and protect the character and try to tell her story the best I can.
“What’s so lovely about Wonder Woman is yes, she has the strength and power of a goddess, but she has the heart and mind of a human. So I play her as I think a woman like me would act in the situations she’s going through. You treat her as a normal woman who happens to be fantastic and almighty.” -Gal Gadot
