NEET Collection Characters

Osomatsu | Momotarou

Momotarou was a baby sent from heaven, who was found inside a peach floating down a river. He went on to become a hero by defeating a group of oni with a talking monkey, dog, and pheasant.

Karamatsu | Urashima Tarou

Urashima Tarou was a fisherman who rescued a turtle and was allowed to visit the underwater palace of a dragon god. After returning to the surface, he finds that during the time he stayed in the palace, 300 years had past. Despite being warned not to, he opened a box given to him by the turtle he saved (who had turned into a girl) and rapidly aged into an old man.

Choromatsu | Kintarou

Kintarou was a child with superhuman strength, who was raised by a mountain witch after being abandoned by his mother. In his childhood, he fought various monsters. There is a famous story about him battling a giant carp underwater.

Ichimatsu | Oni

Oni are youkai that have horns, wear tiger-skin loincloths, and are usually seen carrying giant iron clubs. In folklore, most of them are evil and terrorize humans. (If Ichimatsu isn’t just a generic oni, hmu.)

Jyushimatsu | Issun-boushi

Issun-boushi was a boy who was born to an elderly couple and only grew to be 1 inch tall. He sailed to the capital to become a warrior with a boat (bowl), paddle (chopstick), and a sword (needle). He went on to save a girl by defeating an oni and used a magical mallet to become 5′9′’ (then he married the girl).

Todomatsu | Princess Kaguya

Princess Kaguya was a baby who was found and raised by a bamboo cutter who discovered her inside a shining stalk of bamboo. She was extremely beautiful and 5 princes asked to marry her. She gave them impossible tasks to win her hand in marriage and they all failed. Even the emperor asks to marry her and she says no. Later on, she literally pulls a “I MUST RETURN TO MY PEOPLE” and floats back to the moon, where she came from.

I read on the tag somewhere that you're not into baby headcanon? It's cool tho I am sad because that means you'd never answer my ask which I sent ages ago... But how about this, let's try my luck. Reactions: the lords (and any side fellas/ninjas you want) on MC's pregnancy, buuuutttt plot twist: they're not the father!

Oohhhh helloooooo!

Lol, yes, you read right (I’m sorry!) I’m not particularly into babies and kids headcanon, not that I hate them but it’s just I have no plan on becoming anybody’s parent and there are many, many great writers in this fandom who do these headcanon justice and more (FLUFFY FLUFFY GOODNESS) so yeah, I’m not the best person (AT ALL) to send these asks to.

That being said. OH, MY GOD

“The lords (and any side fellas/ninjas you want) on MC’s pregnancy, buuuutttt plot twist: they’re not the father!”

WHY. Okay, when I first read this I thought this ask was an ATOMIC ANGST BOMB, but hey, I read that again and hmmm,  it could be a happy HC actually lol. I was assuming when this happened MC is in a relationship with that particular lord and HGSAHVDHMBJHBJKJHVGHHH

NTR (netorare = cuckold) trope could be perversely exciting but let’s not go there (I don’t have the mental capacity - it’s beyond me) and make these characters happy aite?

Headcanon after the break.

The first and only time we’re allowed to have the contents of a project in art composition be whatever you want, and I immediately make a giant piece of Carpe DM fanart. Figures.

This took almost eight straight hours to make and the quality gradually got worse as it goes down because I’m a Bad Noodle and waited until the night before, whoops.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Some progress shots/close ups below the cut!

“A bit of my hometown’s history”

Spokane, Washington; The Washington Water Power Spokane Falls generating station, and the Post Street Bridge.

One of Spokane’s most iconic buildings and bridges in this shot, taken I think in 2012 by me. All of the images I post here are my own. This was at one time the only source of electric power for all of Spokane.

Back in more innocent days, and when the river hadn’t been so abused or polluted by our waste, there were giant carp below the dam that employees would shoot with their hunting rifles they would take to work with them to fire from the windows facing the pool above the dam and falls. It made for a fun break time diversion and sport among the employees.

There were crews also that were charged with keeping the screens for the turbine entrances underwater clear of miscellaneous debris that would clog the flow of water through them, and they would bring home some of the strangest items, such as whole kitchen table sets, motorcycles, bowling balls, etc, and yes, sometimes bodies, though I don’t imagine any of those were taken home. I’m sure this is still going on to this day, at least the clearing of the screens..

Sometimes it isn’t the grandiose deeds of our leaders, our generals, or the waves of social changes that define us and tell who we were at any given time in history. The simpler stories… The whimsical or every day anecdotes are what define us, and our humanity to history

Giant Barb (Catlocarpio siamensis)

Also known as the Siamese Giant Carp, the giant barb is a critically endangered species of carp (Cyprinidae) which is known only from the Mae Klong, Mekong, and Chao Phraya river basins in Indonesia. In the wild, giant barb are often seen in big pools along the edges of large rivers, they will also seasonally enter smaller canals, floodplains and flooded forests. Young giant barb are also seen in smaller tributaries and swamps. True to their common name, giant barb can grow to large sizes. With adults growing up to 3m (9.8 ft), making them the largest Cyprinid in the world!

Currently, Catlocarpio siamensis is listed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN, as it faces major threats from habitat loss and over fishing. They have experienced a drastic decline in current years, with very few barb living to maturity in the wild.

(Okay so this isn’t mine it’s actually from @crocsuckerteafucker’s mom)
While my friend’s mom was pregnant with them, she dreamt that she gave birth to a giant white carp. The carp was swimming around in a pond and looked up at her and said “hello mother”
