This is a group shot of the 6 most recent paintings i have completed! The are currently hanging in Ghost Print Gallery in Richmond, VA. This body of work is a represtentation of my journey coming to terms with  my nature as a Transgender person.  I am so proud to have the opportunity to come out with this show in my hometown. More posts to follow!

The amazing Josh George is currently showing at Ghostprint Gallery this month! If anyone has not yet had the opportunity to stop by, I strongly recommend that you do so before it’s over!

D and I feel overwhelmingly honored to be the subjects of one of his enormous life size paintings titled First Line in Defense of the Frozen Yogurt Wars :)

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“–so long as I get SOMEWHERE,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough." –Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

This passage is often paraphrased as, "If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.”

The idea for a needle-less compass stemmed directly from the quote and my grandmother’s query, “Where’s your sense of adventure?!” It is part of a larger tattoo by Thea Duskin at Ghostprint Gallery in Richmond, VA. The piece is a memorial that has many meanings; but this section serves to remind me that time is short so I should enjoy life’s adventures, even when I feel a little lost. I’m my own compass needle, after all, so I’m bound to get somewhere.
