ghostly stories

When Rhaegar won, everyone cheered for their prince. I remember the girls laughing when he took off his helmet, and they saw that silver hair. How handsome he was. Until he rode right past his wife, Elia Martell, and all the smiles died. I’ve never seen so many people so quiet. He rode past his wife, and he lay a crown of winter roses in Lyanna’s lap. Blue as frost. How many tens of thousands had to die because Rhaegar chose your aunt?

So my ringtone is Dean screaming, and today in health we were talking about drunk driving and crashes and shit and my phone went off and everyone just looked at me and it was really funny and embarrassing at the same time.

My teacher didn’t take my phone. Instead, he thanked me after class for emphasizing his point like I made my phone ring at that moment of purpose.

A ghostly story

Here are a few things you should know about ghosts. They are not white, and they are not shaped like tablecloths with holes in them. They don’t make sounds like “hooooooo”, and they don’t want to scare or even kill you. Yes, I know, a shock. Cartoons have been wrong all along.

Ghosts look just like normal human beings. If you looked at a crowd of people you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.

But the moment you start to focus a little more, and look a little closer, you see the differences. The way they seem to smudge a little around the edges of their bodies, the way their eyes are black and empty, the way they seem to be looking for something they can’t find.

When you come even closer, you feel the differences too. The way your body goes tense, because it knows there’s something wrong. The way the cold starts to send shivers down your back. Where did the cold come from, you ask? The ghosts need the energy around them to be visible. They suck the warmth out of the air to show themselves to the people and ghosts around them.

I can hear you think: why would the ghosts want to be visible?

Because they want to be found by someone.

Rewatching PLL

and I am so fucking irked by the whole Ravenswood introduction with Caleb. It’s so out of character for him to just decide to bounce and leave Hanna knowing how much danger she is in due to -A. This is where I feel PLL became super problematic and strayed way too far from the story line. They totally could have introduced Ravenswood without Caleb being thrown into it so randomly and there’s a fat ass chance it might have made a decent show and lasted without Caleb. I have no idea why they would even fathom that viewers would want to see Caleb without Hanna on this rogue ass ghostly timeline story.

Side Story: The Ghostly Siren of Calamari County (Open RP starter)

In the cemetery of Calamari County, within the rows of concrete slabs and statues, the voice of a young woman echoes through the place. She sits on her grave, eyes closed and her skin quite pale.

As the moon was up high, she began to sing.

“Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where’s the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need…

((Just for the lols, here’s an alternate song: ))
