what she means: Ghost Town (dir. David Keopp, 2008) is a supernatural comedy-drama that follows the life of a lonely, anti-social dentist named Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) after he dies for a bit less than 7 minutes during a colonoscopy, causing him to see ghosts. It co-stars Tea Leoni as Gwen, a professional Eygptologist and widow who lives in the same building as Bertram, and Greg Kinnear as Gwen’s dead husband and buinessman, looking to sabtotage her new relationship through Bertram due to wrongfully believing that it’s his unfinished buisness to protect her from dating another bad guy. It’s equal parts funny and heartfelt and has an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes with 178 reviews. The movie also got a Golden Tomato for Best Romance film of 2008. It’s a light comedy full of dark people (Cosmo Landesman, The Sunday Times), that is not only hilarious but surprisingly genuine. It’s so so so underrated and everyone seems to have either forgotten about it or never even heard of it.
