Fic recs I collected last night, from about 3 hours. I’m excluding the ones I remember already reading:

Fics I’ve found myself reccing several times:

Part 2

i’m reading this series and basically i alternately cannot breathe, want to cry, and feel relief so strong my chest aches. it’s amazing.

also DO NOT FOREGO reading this fic, which is not tagged as part of the series, but occurs within the same ‘verse between works 3 and 4, and has a sex scene so incredibly hot it may melt your mind (prior to a sex scene that’s p disturbing).

WARNING that these fics are pretty dark and extremely triggery. But so, so good.

Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!

1. The House of the Spirits, Isabelle Allende

2. Rain of Gold, Victor Villaseñor

Johnlock Fan Fic Rec Challenge, Day 17: Longest Fic You’ve Read

The Omega Sutra by Ghislainem70

Thank god for AO3 and its brilliant search function! Because of that I now know that this is the longest fic I’ve read, good to know (and it’s still a WIP, wow). (I also now know that there’s a lot of super long fics I haven’t read!)

Anyway, The Omega Sutra really has got it all. There’s brilliant omega-verse, smutty goodness, magic and angels and demons and wings. Not to mention sex magic. Really, it’s no wonder it’s that long–and I mean that in a wholly positive way. It’s exciting and thrilling and heart-breaking; if you haven’t yet, really do give it a go!

Ghislainem70: The Indestructibles - The Forgetting of Things Past

“But John’s attention was attracted by the human skeleton, propped erect by a stand. It was wearing one of Lord Holmes’ old hats. The skull grinned at John and he grinned back.

Suddenly his own skull was pierced with the most excruciating pain yet.”

Chapter 6: Lord Holmes’ Skeleton

Want to read a thriller? Try this story. It’s incredible - and leaves you breathless (and sleepless!). A real page-turner. And everytime you think, now, now the boys finally will have some peace and quietness… Ghislainem70 sets out on a new adventure.

One does not expect such a beautiful, arousing anything from fewer than 1800 words, and yet John’s focus, Sherlock’s desperation, and their passionate coupling is shown in amazing clarity in this fic.

This coat on Mycroft reminds me of a fan fic that I read this weekend. It’s post Reichenback. John is a BAMF in it. There’s sex. There’s Mycroft… and it’s awesome. This is what I pictured in my head with Sherlock’s coat on Mycroft.

Go read it if you are into fan fic for Sherlock. Go now.

Clicking the photo will take you there.
