Shiva is one of the oldest gods of India and plays many important roles. He is a devout meditator and yogi, a cosmic dancer setting the rhythms of the universe, a benevolent protector and husband, and part of the great Hindu trinity. (…)

Although Shiva likes to get away from it all, he is also husband to Parvati and father to Ganesha and Karttikeya, so he’s got a pretty busy life. He might sport a loincloth and have long hippie hair, but he’s still a responsible father– aside from that time he cut off Ganesha’s head. (…)

Some think that when Shiva finishes dancing, the world will come to an end– so keep the music coming! Shiva has long hair, but he is not a girl. He just doesn’t like haircuts.
