Manufactured1987 Presents: Blvck Soul of Kirkintilloch with George Beresford
“People come and go but true friends stay forever”. I have known George for a little over five years, words can’t describe how amazing and how talented he is. One random day we both thought it would be a great idea to re-introduce him to my site since so much has happened since last I interviewed him a couple years ago.
Since we last spoke he has opened his own online clothing store to which likes of Rita Ora or Audrey Kitching among others that have worn his line.
I turned on Skype since he is currently in Scotland. Although I will see him very soon, he will be my NYFW 13 partner this coming season! Extremely excited about that news we got real serious and talked about his clothing store, style and his fashion inspirations.
Jillian Mercado: Hey George! It’s been a while since my blog has seen your face. I see how far you came from the last time we spoke, you have a clothing store! Tell me, what motivated you to open your own online clothing store?
George W.C Beresford: Hey Jillian, thank you for having me again. I have always had a growing love for fashion and illustration since I can remember. Finally after working for other brands/musicians I decided to commit fully to the idea of establishing my own business.
JM: Tell me about the way you style yourself, any inspirations decided your style? GB: Realistically my style on an average day is rather common. More so suited for leisure and comfort than trend, however with this said, when it comes to events social or business I do tend to enjoy mixing my style between british tailoring and chic urban street wear.
