genuinely appreciated

Love, appreciation, affection, pride, and more: David Duchovny Style:

So, so much appreciation:

Stupid, goofy dork who can’t help smiling like a lunatic because she’s with him.  And because he gets to touch her. But rock and roll guys do get the girls:

And he can’t help but love the things she does:

And give her hugs for support. Cause, you know, adult friends:

Why, David, do you think she’s adorable?

But, in the end, you can see the pride and love and genuine appreciation for each other:

In other words:

IM ANNOYING BUT ITS REALLY REALLY NICE TO NOT GO TO SLEEP HUNGRY!!!IM ACTUALLY FULL AND NOT ONLY DO I NOT HATE MYSELF FOR IT BUT IM GENUINELY APPRECIATING IT AND IM SO UTTERLY CONTENT I MAY CRY.

Followers, plz munch on something and plz do not go to bed with your stomach growling because y'all deserve nourishment and comfort and health and all the good things the world has to offer n I’m gonna cry again I think. Please eat guys. It’s good, I promise. Goodnight, buddies.

appreciate musicians in musicals. so much unbelievable talent is on stage that it’s often easy to forget the performers playing the music their vocals accompany. appreciate the orchestra. appreciate wonderful trumpet players and flutes and trombones and clarinets and oboes and tubas and all the other wonderful instruments that are apart of our favorite musicals because they have 8 show weeks like everyone else yet their talent is quite often brushed away. appreciate musicians no matter if it’s their voice or their instrument being heard.

How do you feel about the Daniel Way era of Deadpool?

I guarantee I don’t dislike it as much as most do. I read an article just earlier today referring to Way’s run as the “over-exposure” era of Deadpool – which is absolutely bogus, because the over-exposure era of Deadpool is right now. (cough, Deadpool the Duck, cough).

The boxes can get grating, and just – the humour can be cringey. You know that a lot of the more frustrating fan-interpretations/misinterpretations of Deadpool take root in this series. But I’ve got a soft spot. I like the self-reflective tone it takes at times. It’s got – well, it can be thoughtful, when it isn’t throwing distractions at you. It has it’s moments.

Advice your zodiac sign gives:
  • ARIES: Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Trust yourself and the people who believe in you.
  • TAURUS: Don't deny yourself the simple pleasures in this world.
  • GEMINI: Try everything first to figure out what you really want.
  • CANCER: Holding in to old feelings will stop you from experiencing something amazing.
  • LEO: In this life, it's all about you and the people that love you.
  • VIRGO: Find out what's important to you so that it helps make the unimportant stuff not matter.
  • LIBRA: You can't keep giving your time and energy to people who do not appreciate it genuinely.
  • SCORPIO: The best things in life is when you feel that rush of getting close to the flames and not letting it kill you
  • SAGITTARIUS: Travel, explore because there is more to life than the place you grew up in.
  • CAPRICORN: When you realize everyone is really just feels alone here, then it becomes easy to connect with people and make friends.
  • AQUARIUS: Don't let your emotions get the best of you and don't wear your heart on your sleeve for people.
  • PISCES: Find yourself a safe place to go to when the going gets tough. Don't let yourself drown in emotions when something goes wrong.

i know namjoon gets a lot of acknowledgement for using english to talk to international fans (as well he should), but i also really want to praise the rest of the members too. they may not be fluent but they’re trying so hard to learn even if its just a few words here and there. it honestly makes me so happy and grateful when they use english on the vlive chats or in videos. they don’t even have to do all that, but seeing that they’re so eager to communicate with everyone and the fact that they put in so much work to do so is incredibly heartwarming. i hope they know that all their efforts are genuinely appreciated and that we love them so much for it.

Wow, they’ve really ramped up the gaslighting with that RS article. Every queer signal that Harry’s consistently sent over the years was just him being mysterious. It was a void apparently. Interpreting queer signals as queer is projection. Our own fantasy that mysterious heterosexual Harry Styles now sadly has to endure. At least there are proper rational fans who genuinely appreciate mysterious heterosexual Harry Styles and understand to ignore all the queer signals he’s given.

This whole article is homophobic trash. It takes Harry’s voice away completely. Rolling Stone, you are dead to me.

things i’ve realized in 2016 that i should’ve known earlier

ok this is waaaay later than it should be, it’s already been a month since the new year but january was such a shitty month and there was so much going on that i haven’t found time to really reflect on the past year but here it is :’)

1. there will be people in your life that you can’t just cut out of your life even if they’re super toxic and bad for your mental health but that doesn’t mean you deserve to be treated like shit and your feelings invalidated

2. find yourself some upperclassmen/older friends that you can trust and not only ask for advice, but to confide in. they will save your life and it’s always nice to know that someone older and more experienced than you always has your back.

3. boys/girls can be dumb as fuck and 9/10 times they’re most definitely not worth wasting your time daydreaming/freaking/over-analyzing about. you don’t need a bf/gf, finding a bf/gf/SO is not more important than your goals, you are not an incomplete person without one.

4. not everything is about you–sometimes you just need to get your head out of your ass and recognize that although you are important, you aren’t the world/the center of the universe. ask your friends how they’re doing once in a while instead of just ranting/complaining to them about your problems, get them a thoughtful gift, tell them that you genuinely appreciate them, etc.

5. stop settling. sign up for that survey, register for that seminar, apply for that exclusive internship. you’re the only one who’ll make sure you get shit done, not your parents, your friends, or your teachers.

6. wear whatever the fuck you want. people won’t care tbh, and the people who do don’t matter. clothes/makeup is meant to make YOU feel better, not for anyone else. an outfit is pulled together by your personalty and confidence, not by other’s opinions

7. don’t be afraid to let loose. party hard, but work harder. if you work all day and never have any fun you won’t have balance, and this will make you less productive. go to that party, get drunk with your friends, watch that movie, go to that concert, as long as you’re able to get back on track

8. prioritize your health. running clears the mind, yoga is calming, wash your hands, invest in that hand lotion, drink more water. you won’t be able to get anything done if you’re sick half of the time. you do good work when you feel good.

9. it’s ok to experiment. wear the edgy outfit, make your makeup bolder than usual, switch up your study routine, re arrange your desk layout, buy a different planner, etc. you don’t have to always stick to the stuff you know.

Harry Styles' Revealing New Album Doc: 10 Things We Learned
Read 10 things we learned from Harry Styles' new Apple Music album doc, from why he cut his hair to what it felt like to regain his private life.

Following the release of his self-titled debut, Harry Styles has given fans an inside look at the process of making the record in a new Apple Music documentary titled Harry Styles: Behind the Album. The 50-minute feature shows Styles playing the complete album for the first time in between recording sessions with his band and producer Jeff Bhasker in Jamaica and London. While the 23-year-old has been extremely candid about his life in the year following One Direction’s hiatus, he opens up even further here as he details the process of writing and recording Harry Styles. Here are 10 things we learned from the film.

1. Styles first performed the album all the way through at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
The live scenes from the film show Styles fronting his new band at rock’s holiest ground: Abbey Road Studios. Not only was it a convenient location since he lives close by, but the site also held a special significance for the lifelong Beatles fan. Styles notes the “aura about the place” that drew him in.

2. He relished the opportunity to live a totally private life for a full year.
For five years, One Direction was the biggest band in the world. They sold out stadiums on their back-to-back tours while fans and tabloids followed their every move. Having spent his teenage years in the harsh spotlight, Styles was able to slip away from the immense fame he experienced – living quietly at home with his family – and retreat to Jamaica to make music. As he put it, he “made myself get bored.”

3. Don’t get it twisted, though: He loved being in One Direction.
“When you leave a band, a boy band, you feel like you have to go the complete other direction and say, ‘Don’t worry everyone, I hated it. It wasn’t me,’” Styles explains before noting that his experience in and out of the group was filled with nothing but real, genuine love and appreciation. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for that band.” As positive as the experience was, the young artists felt a lot of pressure to get bigger with each album and tour, and Styles is glad the group’s first phase ended on a high note. Having that experience has allowed him to feel like he can pursue a less intense, maybe even smaller career than what he did with One Direction.

4. Cutting off his long hair helped him to make a fresh start.
For the latter half of his time in 1D, Styles became “the one with the long hair,” as he views it. During their Made in the A.M. era, his long tresses fell below his shoulder and became an important part of his look. In the documentary, cutting off his hair is a symbolic, momentous occasion that helps him enter a new era of his life and career. Still, he tries to not dwell on that too much during the interview scenes. “I was about to personify my hair, but then I decided not to,” he jokes.

5. He gave collaborator Mitch Rowland a handmade guitar.
One of Styles’ main collaborators on the LP is Mitch Rowland, who joined the band by chance. Rowland had been working at a pizza shop before teaming up with Styles, Bhasker and the rest of their crew, and he ended up co-writing every song with Styles. In a tender scene from the documentary, the singer shows his appreciation for the musician by giving him a gorgeous handmade guitar. As his own thank you, Rowland offers Styles the guitar he had been playing throughout the process of creating the album after playing his own “farewell solo” on it.

6. Jeff Bhasker helped Styles grow as a songwriter.
Styles has nothing but compliments for the superstar producer whom he credits with helping him grow as a songwriter. For Styles, Bhasker’s encouragement and support was an integral part of the writing process for his solo debut. According to him, he had written several duds early on, and instead of dismissing the tracks entirely, Bhasker found “the good bits” and they continued on with those.

7. “Carolina” was the last song written for the album.
Bhasker was looking for a rocker with a good melody to round out the album, so Styles served up the riveting, early-Sixties-ish “Carolina” to fulfill the producer’s order. “It was the little bit of fun we had been wanting but didn’t have,” Styles says of the song. It is also the only song in the documentary that Styles confirms to be about a specific person whose name is in the lyrics. Sleuthing fans have connected the song to a fan named Townes whom he had met once when she was 17 years old. According to Styles, he has seen her once since writing the tune though he did not reveal to her that he had written a song about their one-time encounter.

8. He remains diplomatic when it comes to writing songs about other people – and having songs written about him.
“To have been part of a moment that means something to someone enough for them to write a song about it is a huge compliment,” Styles reveals. He is careful not to name names but he is confident that the people he sings about on his debut solo album will be able to connect specific moments mentioned in the lyrics with their personal experiences. Asked about the times when the tables have been turned on him, Styles offers a coy “no comment.”

9. Seeing a gospel choir record backing vocals for “Sign of the Times” made him emotional.
One specific moment during the recording process that left a major impression on Styles was the experience of sitting in the room as a gospel choir recorded massive, angelic harmonies for his first solo single “Sign of the Times.” In footage of Styles experiencing this moment, he clutches his face and even runs up to hug the soloist towards the end of the session.

10. He had to have a prosthetic version of his face made while filming his first music video.
After photos from the set of the “Sign of the Times” video leaked on Twitter, fans shared spooky images of a man wearing a prosthetic version of Styles’ face while flying in the sky. The Michael Myers–esque mask was created in case Styles needed a stuntman for the video, which features him flying through mountains and over the sea while singing the song.

niall is so supportive to his boys…. not the “we’re in the same band so i have to show people we support each other” but just genuinely appreciates and loves his lads…. what an actual ray of sunshine

so…. i’ve kinda “snapped” and started posting cute pics of my fur babies in the Ace Discord™ tag to,

a) further piss-off the aphobes that are somehow genuinely bugged by this form of kindness and care towards aspecs, and

b) bc i genuinely LOVE and appreciate all the cute animal pics and positivity ppl inject into the tag bc it’s incredibly hard to read through that shit if you’re aspec so these brief moments of “good”, “cute”, and “love” are an excellent and healthy reprieve for us.

so of course i want to add to the positivity, especially after finding out how much it seems to “offend” ppl who claim not to hate us but then throw fits about kindness towards us being posted in their nasty-ass tag

all they need to do is BLOCK and the “””””clutter”””” (as I’ve seen it called) goes away for them, and they can be once again swimming in a sea of pure aphobia; something they clearly prefer to cute cat pics and aspec positivity.

this is perhaps one of the few moments I feel justified in being a “shit disturber” bc the bar is set at cute cat pics and….. that literally harms no one?

they just need to get over it and shut up

so yeah, as someone who almost NEVER stirs shit up bc it’s typically a petty and pointless thing to do, i’m gonna stir this shit up a little

anyone else wanna help?

i really and truly BELIEVE that this situation genuinely calls for us to stir the shit up by flooding the tag with cute pet pics and what not. I mean, it’s bullshit that it bothers them at all and it’s good for us to see these lovelies since the tag is full of hatred for us and this is a nice reprieve.

honestly, who’s with Gracie, Si, and I? 💜

isak and even are taking the bus home from school, sitting next to each other. isak’s hand is resting on even’s thigh, palm facing up, as they are playing guess what i’m drawing, a little game they often play, using different parts of their bodies. arms, back, thighs, chest. once, isak learned that he can’t play the game using even’s stomach because even is too ticklish. he tried to say “but i’m not done!! i only drew half the elephant!!” in protest, but even kept wiggling and giggling, eventually turning to the side, his back facing isak. and then he sighed a happy sigh and said “elephant, you drew an elephant. i guessed right, eh?” and isak leaned in, kissed his shoulder and his neck, and mumbled “i literally just told you”. and then isak started tracing something between even’s shoulder blades, and he whispered “guess what i’m drawing”

so they’re playing the game in the bus, even drawing little things on isak’s palm. a cat, a shirt, a dick. isak rolls his eyes at the last one, closes his hand on even’s. isak tries to hide a smile and even asks “what?” innocently, and isak simply replies “enough”. he’s smiling this time, though, can’t help it. and they stay like this, simply holding hands, when an elderly lady gets on the bus. and even notices that all the seats are taken, and so he stands up and gestures toward his seat. the elderly lady smiles at him and she sits down next to isak, tells him “your lover is a really fine gentleman.” and isak’s eyes widen a little and his eyes travel from the lady to even and back to the lady and he stutters “y-yes, he is” and even doesn’t try to hide his grin

“not everyone is as courteous, you know? last week, i got on this very same bus and no one gave me their seat! no one! and i know they saw me, i know. but your lover right here, very fine young man, was kind enough to give me his seat. i must say i appreciate this.” isak is blinking quickly, biting the inside of his cheeks as he nods, trying to keep a straight face. he doesn’t remember the last time he interacted with a stranger, this is not a common thing to do at all

and even simply can’t stop smiling at their interaction, but when the lady looks at him, he solemnly says, hand on his heart “you’re very welcome.” the lady nods in approval, and tells even “this young man is very lucky to have you.” and at this point isak expects even to perhaps make a subtle joke, or to say something along the lines of “isn’t he?” but even simply looks down at isak and their eyes meet and he remains silent for a few seconds, simply holds his gaze. even’s eyes filled with tenderness and genuine appreciation, the faintest smile lifting the right corner of his mouth and he says “and i’m very, very lucky to have him”

Virginity

Requested - Hi! Could you write something with Aaliyah and Y/N. Like they get along pretty well and like Aaliyah asks Y/N about losing Virginity (Y/N lost it very soon) or something like that. Thanks!

Requested - Heyy, I have an imagine request 💕 so, you’re visiting Shawn in Canada and he’s busy, so you end up spending time with Aaliyah (like take her shopping or out for milkshakes or something) and Shawn finds out and he thinks it’s really sweet and fluff fluff fluff

Your name: submit What is this?

~~~
“Baby, I’m so sorry,” Shawn says for what seems like the hundredth time as he glances over at you briefly before refocusing his eyes on the road in front of him.
“Don’t be.” You respond with a cheeky smile. “I get to drive your jeep and hang out with your sister, so it’s a win-win for me.”
“Have I told you lately that you’re the best?” He asks.
“Maybe once or twice,” you tease, a smile on your face as you genuinely appreciate this time you’re getting to spend with your boyfriend, even if it isn’t a lot. You came to Canada to visit him, but he ended up having to rehearse at the last minute, which kind of ruined your original plans for the afternoon.
The drive to his rehearsal space goes by far too quickly, and before you know it you’re driving his jeep out of the parking lot on your way to pick up Aaliyah from school. Since Shawn ended up being busy, you offered to pick up his sister from school and take her to the mall. You’ve grown really close to Aaliyah over the past year that you’ve been dating Shawn, and since you don’t have a younger sister, you take full advantage of getting to spend time with Aaliyah and play an older sister role in her life.
what kind of music do you think gansey listens to bc i cannot decide
ok i’m unqualified to answer this because i’m an uncultured pop punk kid and gansey listens exclusively to songs older than he is. maybe the beatles? maybe johnny cash? ask ur grandpa what his favorite band is. that’s gansey’s favorite band. also he knows an obnoxious amount about classical music and everyone is always rolling their eyes at him, probably, omg
I just love Iron Bull and Vivienne’s relationship so much. She teases him and gets this giant, violent qunari completely flustered. He knows she’s messing with him, he’s been trained by the best spies and manipulators in the business and he still can’t stand up to her.
Thank you darling!
But at the same time she genuinely cares for and appreciates him. Her teasing is never cruel and her criticism is never harsh. She wants to keep him safe and look out for him.
You do so much to protect us, if there is anything I can do to assist you, please let me know.
She wants to introduce him to court, get him involved in the game at Orlais. She genuinely thinks he’d do well there. She teaches him to dance and plans to dress him up to fit in the court, but never in a way to embarrass him. It’s not sticking an oxman in a frilly ruff to amuse herself, it’s designing an outfit that makes use of his best traits.
Every woman will want you. Every man will want to be you.
It’s her world, her court, and she wants to bring him into it. I can’t think of any higher compliment from Madam de Fer than to have her think that with just a little polish – never to rewrite your personality – you could succeed in playing the Game.
Vivienne has a great heart under the ice and she shows it in her own way. She calls everyone ‘darling’ but the way she uses it with Bull, she genuinely means it.
I just…their relationship is so good??? It gives me the heart feels??? It’s so sweet and caring and I just ffffffff
i love ncis: la so much bc like, here are all these giant dudes with guns tryin to save the world and shit, and when one of them is like, [very soft voice] “please leave, i need to be alone with my girl and my feelings,” the others are all, “love is so great” [single tear].
