Charm batch #2! Really like these Sailor Moon charms. it sure is interesting to see how magical items have evolved from the 80s (charm batch #1)! Also, gems are really hard to color. the eternal moon charm will be a double sided charm!
I’ve had my old tablet, a wacom intuos 3, for years. I think I got it when I was twelve, so it’s been about 7 years since I got that tablet so many years ago. It cost $300 at the time, and it came with a small screen, no buttons, and no pen pressure. I’ve been drawing with it for 7 years, and I this past fall I finally decided that I had to buy a new one. I thought the tablet was limiting my drawing ability, and the fact that I couldn’t translate the fluidity of my sketches to digital art was becoming a problem.
So I picked out a Monoprice tablet (cheap! $60!) and my mom gave it to me as an early Christmas present (the best!). I’ve only drawn one quick sketch with it, but I already feel it works much, much better than my old tablet.
For reference, the picture on the left is with my old Wacom tablet, and the right is with the new Monoprice. Both were drawn a few days apart.
I look forward to drawing more with the Monoprice tablet! I was wary at first, but it seems like a great tool. I don’t know if I have the heart to throw away my old tablet (we’ve been through so much), but I’m not sure what to do with it. I’ll keep it around for now : )
