Good Bully Girl number 15: “Vice” color progressions.

Initially I envisioned an overall soft, pastel, summery color treatment for this image, skirting the fact that the client harbors a seething hatred for pastel colors.  Predictably it was shot down.

The next course of action was to bump up the saturations and a little tweaking here and there.  Client dug it.

Somewhere in the middle the wife suggested spot colors.  Considering that the client suggested black and white, which I didn’t want to do, I wanted to keep some colors, it seemed a good fit.

And thusly we have an look into the art life.  Spend a few days on a color job and outclass it by one that was done in ten minutes.  But damned if those spot colors weren’t the perfect solution.
