Acts like Evans,
Can preform like Evans,
No one can play the role of gaston like Evans.
His villainous act is intimidating,
My what a guy
Give five hurrahs and twelve hip hips,
Josh Gad acts with him as Lefou his sidekick!
Sings like Evans,
Can dance quite like Evans,
In the film no on sings Gaston like Evans!
His scene with the beast’s slightly terrifying,
Let’s give a hand for….
And there’s my version of the gaston song. Please reblog. I kinda wanna see if anybody would actually sing this😅
EW can exclusively reveal that Disney’s live-action, Bill Condon-directed Beauty and the Beast remake (out March 17) will feature lyrics originally written for the animated 1991 version that went unused. The lyrics were penned by the late Howard Ashman, who wrote the songs for the film with composer Alan Menken, and will feature in the song “Gaston.”
“In ‘Gaston,’ we had a treasure trove of lyrics that Howard had written that we did not put in the movie,” Menken tells EW. “In many cases they were a little bit risqué — not risqué sexually, but risqué in terms of sensibility. We all felt ready to have these lyrics. When Bill found out about those lyrics, he said, ‘Oh my god, can we please look at that, because it would be a wonderful way to add an extra freshness to the movie.’ So, yes, you’re going to hear some unheard Howard Ashman lyrics.”
“The guys at Disney reviewed all the transcripts and recordings and they’ve been able to go back through those hours and hours of recorded footage and listen to lyrics that were written and never used, which are actually gems,” Luke Evans, who plays Gaston in the live-action version and performs the character’s self-titled song, says. “So, for the [audience members] who know the songs immensely well, which I think is most people, you will hear a few new lines, which are really, really special.”
Condon explains that another unused Ashman lyric will feature elsewhere in the film. “It’s a surprise at the end,” the filmmaker says. “I don’t want to give that away, but it’s a really gorgeous lyric that we found.”
It reminded me of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. Then I got carried away and adapted Gaston’s song. (I imagine that maybe Le Fou is Matt the Radar Technician in this song, even though they are the same people.)
Gosh it disturbs me to see you, Kylo
so down in the dumps
trooper’d love to be you, Kylo
taking your lumps
no man on base as admired as you
everyone’s favorite guy
awed and inspired by you
not very hard to see why
slick as Kylo
quick as Kylo
hair’s as incredibly thick as Kylo
no man on base half as gorgeous
a pure paragon
ask any First Order Officer
they’ll tell you whose team they’ll always be on
sinned like Kylo
of Ren like Kylo
got a huge nose on his face like Kylo
specimen, yes, I’m intimidating
a guy, that Kylo!
rest is all drips
fights like Kylo
knight like Kylo
In a light
saber match nobody smites like Kylo
there’s no one as burly and brawny
see, I’ve got biceps to spare
Not a bit
of him’s scraggly or scrawny
Ren has got an eight pack I swear!
hits like Kylo
fits like Kylo
force choke, nobody constricts like Kylo
especially hot and intoxicating
points for Kylo!
was a lad I ate four dozen eggs
morning to help me get large
that I’m grown I eat five dozen eggs
roughly the size of a barge
aloof like Kylo
recluse like Kylo
tromping around wearing boots like Kylo
Darth Vader in all of my decorating
What are you looking forward to the most in the remake?
Ugh, that’s such a hard one to answer. On the one hand, I really want to see all those iconic scenes we love from the original, like the ballroom, and when he gives her the library, and “Be Our Guest” (which they’ve only given us the tiniest glimpses of!). I really want to see the tavern scene and Gaston’s song, and the sneak peek of it only increased my anticipation because it’s just so much fun.
But on the other hand, I’m particularly psyched to find out what this adaptation will bring to the table that’s new. I know we’re getting more backstory for both Belle and the Beast, we’re getting three new songs, we’re getting more scenes developing their relationship because it’s just a longer movie. And that’s really exciting. I love these characters, and I will take any excuse to spend more time with them and find out more about them.
I think I most want to hear “Evermore” in context, because it’s already probably the most heart-wrenching moment of the story, and a big turning point for the Beast’s character–the audience knows now that he really has learned to love selflessly. And that’s so important to me. And also I know I need to bring a box of kleenex to the theater with me, because that is probably the part that will make me weep the most. I’m so glad that the Beast is getting a song of his own, and this is a perfect place for it.
Has this one been done before? I tried googling, but no luck. So I made my own. The fandom seems to have accepted the Gascogne-Gaston association, and that’s marvelous. The lyrics for Gaston’s song are already so spot on without any changes except names (they even can’t spell his name at the end).
More Bloodborne art coming this week and next week. And next…
What is even in the book? I don’t know, probably something about sparing beasts. And no pictures.
My favorite part of Beauty and the Beast is how, like, no one had good priorities. Nobody cares that the prince is gone. He’s been an accursed beast for years and years and if someone had seen that it would’ve kicked off Gaston’s Mob Song™ already, so that didn’t happen. The person who runs the kingdom has not been seen if literal years, but yet people could not BE more pressed that this one girl reads.
