On Your Mark

Here is the beautiful video for Chage & Aska’s song “On Your Mark.” The six and a half minute music video which was was created in 1995 by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki is entirely animated, has no spoken character dialogue.

[003] - A Lil’ Something For Dad

This was a digital painting I did back in 2010 for my dad on Father’s Day.

Having grown up with a strong influence from him on many things related to mountain men and flint lock rifles, I did this as quick illustration with him in mind. Now this fellow is not intended to resemble my dad… but there are several key details in the design that have special meaning such as the fox skin cap, the powder horns, the antler handle knife, and the muzzle loader itself. The biggest detail though being the fall setting.

Every fall dad always gets the “fever” and loves to hit the woods for a relaxing walk. This piece is to offer a special reminder till the leaves start turning.

[082] Vampire & Bat

Trying to get back into doing animation again, nothing too fancy… just starting out small for practice and fun. Here’s my humble attempt at one of those cool living drawings I see from time to time.

Worked this animation up all in Photoshop… I know it’s not typically the program of choice for this kind of thing but I do enjoy messing around with what it has to offer. Hope to do some more animation soon. :D

[085] Lil’ Hero!

Worked up this sketch of Link while listening to the soundtrack to “The Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword.” Liked were the sketch was going and decided to finish it through to the color stage, probably spent way longer than I should have on it, but hey it’s an awesome soundtrack… easy to get carried away!

[022] - I know that laugh …

This was drawn back in 2009 while I had “Star Wars” on while working. I was already sketching on other things but just couldn’t resist taking a break to have a go at Jabba. Actually it was the first time I had ever tried to draw him, he’s pretty fun! LOL… After the Hutt, came Tarkin. Gotta love that Peter Cushing bone structure.
