garmin 405

December 31, 2011

Just finished up the two miles I had scheduled for tonight.  My goal this evening was to do the run in under 11 minute miles.  I am happy to say I met my goal.  It was a lot of work, and I certainly have a lot of work to do.

2 miles = 20:52

Mile 1- 9:48

Mile 2- 11:02

I have never been big into making New Years resolutions because it seems like they are always very quickly broken.  My one and only goal for this year is to look back on Decmber 31, 2012 at this 2 mile run and laugh at how hard I had to work tonight.

It’s not impresive but I will get better.

On another note I received a Garmin Forerunner 405 for Christmas.  I love it but can’t seem to get it to connect to my computer.  I am starting to think there is something wrong with the ANT+ stick.  Anyone have any tips?

Thanks for the birthday greetings everybody!

This is the present from Sheila. My well-used Garmin Forerunner 405 is about five years old. Which is 35 in dog years and probably 105 in electronics years. It was getting tired and cranky - unlike me who gets sweeter and more active with age.

I’ve spent the morning playing with the new Garmin and getting the settings just right. Love it. However I think it highlights my need for another new bike. I’ll need a cycle that’s speedier than anything in the current collection to keep up with all this high-tech goodness.
