Can I just say that I love it when models (and people) have gappy teeth? It’s just like laughing in the face of American society which mandates people to have perfect, straight teeth. I mean, why get braces if you don’t really need them? It’s the little things that really make people memorable. As long as you take care of them, you don’t need straight teeth.
Throughout my life I have felt self conscious, insecure and embarrassed about the gap between my teeth. People comment and I have felt in the past ugly and hated the way I look. However times change, fashions change and today gaps are considered highly fashionable in the media world of fashion and beauty. I never thought it possible for gaps to be so popular as most people see them as odd and unsightly as it is considered a flaw. But now fashion has changed the perception of the gap to be beautiful and it is now the most sought after demand for models to have in fashion today. The popularity of the gap has started a trend in which some models are getting gaps cosmetically made to boost their careers, a step to far in my opinion, its only a fashion and well fashions change. But because of this fashion beauty obsession I have finally come to accept my gap, its part of who I am!
