What do you think drives Brienne to never give up on her quest to protect the Starks?
I think that the relationship between Brienne and Catelyn Stark was a moment where Brienne realized strength in another woman. I remember quite fervently that line by Catelyn Stark “You have strength , not a man’s strength but a woman’s strength.” I think it was that realization that Brienne didn’t have to force herself into a mould of masculinity. She didn’t have to take the path of men before her in order to be taken seriously or to do good. That she could be propelled by her own intuitive sense of what was right in terms of a moral compass. I think that there’s something very beautiful about the way she’s projected that into the future. That it doesn’t matter if someone lives or dies but it is significant that they are her daughters and to return the Stark girls home.In her own way I think that Brienne feels that even if it’s one small thing for one person or two people that that’s going to perpetuate a sense of good which maybe subconsciously creates a greater sense of equality and that’s what I think is driving her. She’s connecting to an idea greater than herself.
all these white people coming for john boyega better back the fuck up. he’s right about the lack of black people in game of thrones, lord of the rings, or any major show. got literally has two black characters and their purpose is to cater to the white narrative. don’t bring up westeroes is based off medieval europe as if black ppl didn’t exist around that time, also even that argument doesn’t matter because GOT is show with dragons and white walkers but that’s realistic? y'all just hate the fact that black people are tired of never being represented and when we are, there’s always some racist to knock us down. ex. white ppl complaining about black panther being too militant. when will y'all shut up and just listen???
There’s nothing I want more than a gay dating reality show called “In the Closet,” with the twist being that one of the contestants is secretly straight but must remain hidden in the house until the very end to win money.
The real twist is that all of them are straight men.
